Second day: the experience on the beach

“I don't know what my father was thinking!” Zelda looked around the little hut. She had a room with just a bed and a table, two chairs, a cupboard, and a tiny kitchenette. Next door was only a more than small toilet. The hut was really very small. And the two of them should live there for a while! "Yes, this hut is ... well, cozy!", Link grinned crookedly. Zelda sighed. What should she think of Link? Sometimes she would like to marry him, but other times he was acting so stupid that she could shoot him on the moon. Now was one of those moments. He was totally stupid. Link dropped his bag and went out."Will probably have a look at the area," thought Zelda. She turned and examined the cabin.

An hour or two later. Zelda was completely desperate. Firstly, she had made an outrageous discovery, and secondly, Link was nowhere to be seen. Furious, she threw her clothes into the closet. "Something stupid too!", She said. “What's stupid?” Startled, Zelda turned around. Link was standing in the doorway with a bundle of firewood under his arm. "Do you have to scare me like that! Do you want me to drop dead in shock?" Zelda bitterly. Link turned around again, amused. "No, of course not!" He laughed. Zelda followed him out. "What's so funny about that? I don't think it's funny at all that you gel me here alone for hours ---" She couldn't get any further, because a pile of firewood almost three meters high suddenly rose next to the house. "Link, how did you manage to collect so much firewood in such a short time?" Link looked at her."Well," he said, "How to collect wood. Felling a tree here and taking a fallen trunk with you ..." He heaved the last bundle of wood up on the pile. "What did you mean by" stupid "earlier?", Asked Link. She nodded. “Have you ever checked out the bathroom?” He looked at her in disbelief. "No, not yet. Why?" "Well," began the princess again, "There is a small but serious problem: We only have one toilet in the bathroom. So where, if you go, should we wash?" Armen still looked at her. "The answer is quite simple. Here!" He pointed with his hand at the river and the sea into which it flowed. Astonished, Zelda followed the river with her eyes. "Well ...", she said, "We'll have no other choice, will we?"

"It's beautiful here ..." Link stood on the beach and looked at the sea. He hadn't been to the beach for a long time and enjoyed the view beyond the horizon.A few paces away from him, Zelda was sitting on the sand. She sat a little further back than him so that he didn't notice her watching him. A light wind was blowing and it was already beginning to get dark. Link crossed his arms behind his head and just let himself fall backwards into the sand. "I could lie here all day and listen to the waves," he said. Zelda smiled and brushed a strand of her blonde hair from her face. So they stayed on the beach for a while and looked at the stars because it was already night. Zelda sneezed. "It's getting really cold." Link sat up and looked over at her. Then he tossed her his jacket. "Here, otherwise you will catch a cold. We should go back now." He got up, brushed the sand from his clothes and walked slowly towards her hut. Zelda got up too. She had put Link's jacket around her shoulders. She hugged the jacket tightly and then ran after Link.He turned around briefly, smiled at her, and then walked on.

The next morning. Zelda left the hut quietly, so as not to wake Link, since he was still asleep. Smiling, she crept past him and opened the door. He looked really cute as he slept there. He breathed slowly and steadily and smiled in his sleep. He slept on the floor as there was only one bed and he insisted that Zelda sleep in it. She closed the door carefully. Yesterday, when he gave her his jacket, he impressed her very much. It had touched her because he was apparently worried about her. Recently Zelda felt so comfortable around him, safe and somehow ..... had she got into him .....? What! Brooding, she ran to the sea to wash. She knelt in front of the water and first washed her face. Because of Link, she was completely wrong. The water was freezing so early in the morning, and Zelda was reluctant to wash. But she had got used to the temperature for a few more minutes. She splashed around happily. Life with Link wasn't that bad here .... you could get used to it .... "Stop it! What are you thinking ...?", She scolded herself. But then she had to admit that it was a nice thought. With Link to live here, but not out of compulsion, but ..... Suddenly, however, Zelda felt a violent, stabbing pain on her shoulder. She looked to the side and saw what was causing her this pain. "Help! Link!"

Link startled. He had heard a scream ..... Zelda's scream. "Calm down, it was probably just a dream ..." he whispered to himself. Then he looked around. Zelda was guaranteed to be still in her bed and ..... What? She wasn't in her bed! Link quickly jumped up and looked outside. She wasn't at the river either! He ran out in a panic. Where was she? He ran down the river towards the sea. That scream hadn't been a dream, he realized that now. He was very worried. Then he discovered an archer on one of the rocks near the sea.He aimed at something that appeared to be floating in the sea. But wait! That was Zelda! Link quickly grabbed a stone that was lying on the ground and threw it at the shooter. He was hit in the temple and passed out unconscious. Zelda! Link turned around. Apart from a couple of air bubbles on the surface of the water, nothing was to be seen. He ran into the spray, dived into the water. He dived and saw them floating far away from him. If he didn't hurry, she would be lost! When she got to her, he cupped her waist and pulled her toward the surface. He appeared panting. Then he listened to her mouth. She was still breathing. He swam to the bank. She was freezing cold and had no clothes on. He gave her mouth-to-mouth breathing, slipped off his shirt, and put it on her. Carefully but as quickly as he could he carried her to the hut. There he put her on the bed and covered her. She lay before him, trembling. He looked down at her worriedly. Then he put a chair next to the bed and sat on it.There was no way he wanted to leave her alone. He took care of her and did not leave her side. She had got a little fever, but it wasn't bad. Link put her cold cloth on her forehead and covered her well. Towards evening he fell asleep next to her bed from exhaustion.

Zelda slowly opened her eyes. She had a bad headache and was trembling. Confused, she looked around. Then she remembered that she lived with Link in this hut .... "What ...?" She looked down at herself. What was she wearing there? A white shirt that is way too big for her .... Left shirt! But why was she wearing his shirt? She looked to the side and saw him. He sat on a chair next to her bed and slept. So he took care of her after she ..... she was attacked! Zelda only remembered a sharp pain in her left shoulder. Link must have saved her. She let herself sink back into her pillow and fell asleep after a short time.

End of day twoDay three: sickness and despair

... the sun was slowly rising in Termina. It was reflected shimmering in the sea and shone on the roof of an isolated hut in which Link and Zelda lived. It was early in the morning when Zelda woke up. She remembered everything that had happened before and after she passed out. She looked to the side sleepily. But Link was no longer sitting on the chair. He didn't seem to be in the hut either. Zelda sat up carefully. She was in little pain. Link seemed to understand something about medicine ... he had professionally bandaged her shoulder. Just as she was about to get up, the door opened. Link entered. "Zelda ... you are awake. How are you?" He looked at her questioningly. "I'm better thanks to you, thank you," she replied. He nodded and turned back to the firewood he had brought in for heating. Then Zelda got up. Suddenly she noticed such strange dark spots on the floor. Link got up again and went to the table. There he propped himself up with one hand on the table top. He was ... so dizzy. He saw everything blurred, had a terrible headache and constantly alternated between warmth and cold. No, it didn't work. He couldn't go on anymore. The world in front of him was slowly turning black. All he could do was Zelda's panicked "Link!" before he hit the cold wooden floor.
