She was lost in her book when he saw her. The wind ruffled her hair and strands fell on her face. She still hadn't seen him.
Concentrated, she turned another page, but in the corner of her eye she noticed that a shadow fell on the floor next to her. Without looking up, she knew the wait was over. What was it that she was feeling? Joy. Anxiety. Nervousness. Probably a little bit of everything. "How silly," she thought to herself. After all, it was not the first time they saw each other. It was only your first time traveling alone. That was the big difference in the matter. Otherwise they were always traveling in a group of people or with individual friends, but not now. A little nervously, she folded her book and put it in her pocket while she looked at him."Hello." That was a good start, she thought to herself. At least she hadn't lost her voice this time.
A shy smile played on her lips. After a brief reply, he leaned down and kissed her cheek.
A little amazed she looked at him questioningly, but the only answer she received was a charming smile. "Let's go in. It's a little chilly out here." Nodding silently, she followed him and everyone paid their entry at the cash register. A slightly more corpulent woman behind the counter picked up the receipts and handed everyone their keys. On the way they parted ways and each went into a cloakroom. Several little girls ran across the room in front of her and older women wrote to ask them to stop.
With the key in her hand, she searched for her box and finally found the number she was looking for, in the midst of teenage girls talking excitedly about the latest gossip.Barely paying attention to this, she took her black bikini and stepped into the changing room. In this tiny room, she quickly stripped off her street clothes and slipped into her swimwear. The noise outside the cabin had meanwhile ceased and she went back to her closet, happy about it. With practiced grips she stowed her things and just as she was about to set off, she noticed that she was still wearing her jewelry. Quickly taking it off, she cursed her forgetfulness inwardly and put the jewelry in a jacket pocket.
Taking another deep breath, she nervously brushed her hair back and left the dressing room to get to the pool. As soon as you open the door, the smell of chlorine penetrates your nose and the noise of happy people in your ears. A warm breeze also brushed her skin and made her tremble. A little unsure about her performance, she carefully placed her towel on a couch and walked to the edge of the pool. She touched the surface of the water with one foot, which was a little cool despite the warmth in the bathroom. Slowly she let her gaze wander around the room. Little children romped around with their parents everywhere. A couple of teenagers joked around in water with no regard for other people. Some old people swam lazily from side to side, trying to swim briskly and persistently despite their age.
After she had not seen him among the people, she decided to go into the water alone for the first time. She carefully climbed the stairs into the water and made a slight face. Inch by inch, the cool water enveloped her body and pulled her into the depths.
Just as she was completely submerged, he came and took the same route as her in. The cold ate them a little, but they quickly started moving. They swam length after length, each at his own pace. Sometimes they talked to each other or glanced at each other secretly. If there weren't so many people here, there would only be the two of them in the large pool.
Time passed and it gradually got warmer and more comfortable as more people left the water. She happily swam her lengths and enjoyed the feeling of indescribable freedom that was offered to her. Could there be anything nicer than just having a casual swim? No limits, no prohibitions.
Just as she thought that, she ran into someone. Startled and embarrassed, she turned around and was surprised when she had swum against him of all people. "I'm sorry," she managed, but the only answer she got was a smile.
“Who says it wasn't on purpose? Maybe you wanted to get me of all people here.” His eyes shone at these words, while her face rose a little. What should she say He couldn't believe that himself. After all, how should she see in which direction she was swimming when she was on her back? His voice pulled her out of her mind. "That was just a joke. I know you didn't do it on purpose. It was more likely the other way around. I didn't evade it." Now she was even more confused. Had he done it on purpose so that she would swim against him? But why? What should she do now?
Confused, she turned away, but she was held by two hands that closed around her body. “What is that supposed to mean?” Before she knew it, he had pulled her closer and smiled cheekily at her. "Now you're trapped in me."
She tried to free herself, but she couldn't get against his strong arms. There was only one solution that occurred to her. With her free hand she emptied water in the middle of his face and achieved the desired result. She was released and she took this chance to save herself to the brink.
A laugh escaped her throat as he pouted beside her. His hair hung wet on his face and a few drops of water still pearled from his chin. His eyes flashed dangerously at her, but secretly she wondered if they hadn't done that before. What would he do now? Would he just put up with her little attack? A voice inside hoped he wouldn't just take it. But he did. Instead of taking revenge on her, he pushed himself away from the edge of the pool and swam.
Sighing, she did the same and so they spent more minutes.
Finally it was enough for both of them and they met in the middle of the pool.
Curiously she tried to stand, but it was too deep and so she dipped into the water up to her mouth. A hand grabbed her and pulled her back up.
The next thing she could remember was the pressure of his hands that they had raised. She wiped the water from her face with her fingers and looked into his face. "Thank you," she just stammered. Her head could not think clearly, they were so close. For a few seconds they looked at each other in silence. Neither of them said a word so as not to spoil this moment.
But the lifeguard's voice could be heard from afar. “Are you all right?” Only the second time he heard the man's voice and only nodded silently while he let it slide into the water. The beautiful moment came to an end and an unknown kind of disappointment spread inside her.
"We should rest a little on the edge, not that you go under me again. That would be a shame." Nodding, she swam with him and relieved she clung to it. She still had to think about the brief moment before. What did that mean? She had never allowed a boy to come so close to her. Why him? She liked him, that was true, but that didn't justify her behavior from earlier. There was just something about him that made her forget all concerns.
"Hey, what are you thinking of?You are smiling "His voice tore her from her thoughts. As honest as she was, she would never admit that she thought of him." Nothing in particular. I am just happy. "That was at least part of the truth. A friend always said she was great at twisting the truth. After all, it was true that she was happy right now.
“I know something that could improve happiness.” His arms braced to the left and right of her as he said this. His smile grew bolder and his eyes flashed cockily at her. Surprised, she knew immediately what he meant and her mouth went dry. He wouldn't dare to do that, would he? She should fight back, rebuke him. Then why didn't she? The only thing she did was wait and see what would happen next.
“You look at me like I'm the big bad wolf and about to devour you.” She hadn't expected that. "I would never force you to do anything.Just as it is between us at the moment, it will happen at some point. I know that and you should be prepared for it, because I am sure that not only I feel this tension. "To prove it to her, he leaned closer and her pulse quickened. He was right.
"I knew it. Your face reflects all your thoughts." With one hand he pushed back a strand of her hair so that her agitation subsided. “That's not true at all.” Her protest was just a whisper. After clearing her throat, her voice sounded harder again. "Besides, you're just making up your mind. We're here for swimming and nothing else. Let's have a little fun here. You don't come here every day." are heated up, then we should cool down. "Before she could say anything, he had grabbed her again and pulled her into the water with him. Without warning he tore them down and together they reappeared on the surface.Instead of being mad at him, she started to laugh and wanted to do the same to him, but he was bigger and stronger. A scramble ensued, but she never had a chance against him, but she didn't let that discourage her. The little water had never put them off. Time passed and at some point she managed to catch him in a weak moment and happy about her victory, she wanted to say something when he took her in his arms again. “Well, wait, the punishment will follow immediately.” Laughing, she writhed, but he held her too tight.
Suddenly his face turned serious again. "I know something else. I had said the opposite before, but you haven't been kicking in my arms yet. It just has to be." She paused and her breath caught. She knew she could fend him off, but something inside let him do it. He tilted his face slightly towards her and her lips came closer and closer. The noise around them grew smaller and there was only the two of them.A few centimeters separated them from each other. She looked him in the eye one last time,
