Fanfic: A Sengoku-Jidai History
Chapter: The adventure begins
Chiyo:
So today was the day: the first day of ninth grade at Momokuri High. Okay, actually it was the second time "The first day of the ninth grade". Yes, you heard right! I hate to admit it, but unfortunately it's true: I stayed seated.
My name is Chiyo Hagino and I am already 16 years old, although I wasn't particularly noticed when I stood as helpless as a little girl in front of my new class today. Basically everyone looked really nice, I had absolutely no reason to be excited. And still, it was kind of strange. You probably know that queasy feeling when everyone is staring at you. You are eyed and fixed, and you feel like a criminal being interrogated. Bah! Well, maybe I'm exaggerating a bit, but it doesn't matter. In any case, I was standing here in front of my future class and at that moment, for the first time in my life, I wished nothing more than to hear the school bell ring at the start of class. Can you imagine that?
"I'm going to be crazy, definitely!" I sighed in agony and looked impatiently at the class door, which would cause one of my new teachers to kick in at any moment. "Go on, go on, go on!" I implored in silence. It wasn't that everyone was looking at me, after all, it was really loud in this room and luckily there were more distractions than me.
For example, a girl with long black hair, hazel eyes and a friendly face was arguing with three other girls who kept giggling and pestering them with many questions, apparently irresponsible. Like everyone else, they too wore our pretty school uniform, which I liked so much. Curiously, I turned my head in their direction and listened with interest to the conversation.
"Hey Kagome-chan, what do you want to tell Hojo-kun now?" I heard the girl on the left with the long black curly hair say, who couldn't help but smile.“Yes, Kagome, when are you going to tell him about your friend from the well?” The girl on the right with the short brown hair also started to laugh and even the third one among them joined in. "How often do I have to tell you that?", Kagome shouted and angrily slammed her books on the table. "He's NOT my friend! He's brutal, inconsiderate, stubborn, conceited and ...?!" "Yes, yes, you've been telling us that all the time, Kagome-chan. But you can't fool us." The girl with the black curls grinned in amusement and Kagome sighed annoyed: "You're driving me crazy, Ayumi-chan. And you too, Yuka and Eri! I'll go crazy if you keep doing this! Just let me have one Take it for a minute, okay? "
I watched the arguing girls for a while with amusement, but then they and the rest of the class were suddenly interrupted by a low creak. Only when everyone had quickly and quickly retired to their seats did I turn my head towards the door.I noticed a faint breeze and saw the door slam back into the lock. The person who had just passed through rushed past me and I turned my dark brown eyes expectantly on them. Suddenly a tall, thin man with a narrow face and rather prominent cheekbones was standing next to me. He had his long black hair tied tightly in a braid, and otherwise the guy looked really nasty, who for better or worse must be my new class teacher. "How did I deserve this?" I thought, tormented, and smiled nicely at the man as best I could. Although I didn't really feel like it….
"Hello, Miss Hagino," the teacher began to speak in the deepest, scariest voice a teacher had ever had. “I'm looking forward to getting to know you. Would you like to introduce yourself briefly?” He turned to his class, who were now examining the whole scene with interest, and thundered: “Hear me out! This is ... Miss Higurashi, I said it all! "Kagome, who had just been in deep conversation with Ayumi, startled from their quiet conversation and turned intimidated to the teacher." T-I'm sorry, Kyamato-sensei, "she stammered sheepishly and bowed her head apologetically . "That will not happen again. "Meanwhile I couldn't suppress a low chuckle." Poor Kagome, "I thought sympathetically, and watched as Kyamato-sensei turned back to the class and ignored Kagome with her reddened face." As I was about to say "We have a new student," he continued. "This is Miss Hagino and she will be teaching with you this year. And I ask you not to annoy or disadvantage her just because she has to repeat the class. "
Great! End, period, end, end! My chances of making new friends were now completely destroyed. Thank you Why did this stupid teacher have to babble about it?Great, probably everyone will now just tease me about it. Excellent!
"Well, Miss Hagino will now report a few things about herself and her life." That too! It really couldn't be better. I'm cursed!!!
I sighed. But I guess I had no other choice ... unfortunately. I was just about to start speaking, to introduce myself, when suddenly the door to the classroom flew open with a loud bang and a girl with long golden blonde hair stormed in with a force.
The door slammed.
Silence.
The girl stopped, exhausted, and put her arms on her sides, pumped out. I think she must have run quite a long distance if you ask me. Just like she was out of breath….
But I liked her right away, the fact that she had just screwed up my performance was a good move on her part. But she looked really nice, had long blonde hair that she had tied with a red bow in a thick braid, wore a cute white top with a red heart on it and had a black mini skirt that was up to her knees was enough.... Um, wait a minute! No school uniform? And also this blonde hair ... of course, it was definitely not from here! That was certain. Where did she come from? Maybe from Europe? Or America? I did not know it. Anyway, definitely not from here.
Shiori:
Phew, just made it! God, I was glad I got there. That damn bus! Why did he have to be late today, of all days, on my first day of school at Momokuri High? Oh man, I was completely exhausted! First sit down and ... oh!
Amazed, I looked around the room and noticed the many curious faces that were watching me carefully. Oh no, did I just drop in in the middle of class? That couldn't be true. Why did this always happen to me of all people? I think bad luck seems to literally attract me ...
I slowly straightened up and looked around the room. Around thirty students sat on the rickety chairs at the scrawled tables. All black and brown-haired, as was customary in Japan or Asia. Everyone looked at me in amazement and started whispering excitedly, I think they were pretty surprised at my looks. I don't blame them either - it looked strange, me with my normal clothes and everyone else in uniform. Quite a difference if you ask me.
I smiled shyly and finally straightened up. As I looked around shyly in the room, I noticed him - yes, that had to be him. My new teacher. And next to him - was that a new one too? At least she wasn't sitting with the others, which must have meant that I wasn't the only one after all.
I took a sigh of relief and thought, "Fortunately, maybe I'll find my way around a little better if I make friends with her."
The girl had long brown hair, also tied in a ponytail, deep brown eyes and a very pretty face. Somehow I already knew at the beginning that I would certainly get along well with her, don't ask me why.Maybe it was just because I just wanted to encourage myself at the moment, I don't know.
The teacher looked at me sternly and then said, "You must be Miss Shiori Kazuki. Again too late, as described in your file." I smiled sheepishly. "Well," he continued, waving me over, "come up to the front and stand here, please." "I quickly made my way in front of the desk and stood uncertain next to the other girl." Hi, "I whispered and gave her a friendly smile." I'm new, are you? "She gave a pained smile." I stayed where I was ... "
"Oh…."
"That's okay. By the way, my name is Chiyo!"
"Nice to meet you Chiyo!", She smiled happily. "I'm Shiori, but feel free to call me Shio, that's what my friends usually call me." Chiyo smiled back. "Okay, please. Welcome Shio!"
The rest of the day was actually no different than my old high school in Oxfort. It was only the more hours of lessons that bothered me, I think it was two to three hours more than in England. But I still had to get used to it - as well as speaking Japanese every day. If my mother hadn't taught me the language from childhood, I think I would have been lost at this school. It was unfamiliar, but I guess I had to put up with it, whether I wanted to or not.
I spent my first day of school with five girls, one of them was of course Chiyo, with whom I immediately became friends and then there were four other girls. Actually, Chiyo's idea to hang out with them wasn't mine, but I found they were all very nice. Their names were Ayumi, Eri, Yuka and Kagome, and I got on really well with the latter. Kagome was really friendly and funny and I got on well with her. Only ... well, sometimes she seemed a bit mysterious and when I was on the way home with Chiyo, all of a sudden she had to go home quickly because she still had something to do.She said goodbye with a hasty wave and then finally turned the corner on the way to the shrine where her family lived. A little strange, don't you think? Of course, you don’t think anything about it the first time, but what would you say if it’s been going on for three weeks now? And what if Kagome had been sick more and more often in between and she hadn't come to school? Yes, that's how it was, exactly like that. She was acting strangely - Chiyo and me too. We didn't know what Kagome was hiding from us, how could we have asked her whenever she was absent from school. But I think Yuka, Eri and Ayumi knew something. Maybe I was imagining it, but it felt like they were evading all of our questions about Kagome. Really! The other day, when I asked Yuka why Kagome was constantly sick, she suddenly started talking about the weather. About the weather! I ask you, something was
