Am Rande der Nacht
back of his head, embarrassed.“I'm afraid we'll have to buy a new door soon.” I had to laugh. “That's my smallest problem right now.” I picked up the dagger from the floor and put it back on the desk. "Where did you get that from?" Rick wanted to know.
"From Nick's mentor. Then it occurs to me that I should give you the thing. And the stone." He stood next to me and examined both carefully. "All right," he said, "I'll take care of it tomorrow. For today I'm at the end of my life."
"What are you going to do with it?"
"From that," he corrected me, not without pride. "A useful weapon ... Hopefully."
That was enough for me for now. The sleeper rolled over on his side on the bed. "When will he wake up?" I asked. Rick looked at the clock. "Around noon, I'm afraid. I didn't bother with the word very much."
"That's okay. Can you make sure he doesn't run away?"
"Sure. I'll be careful. You don't mean any harm to him."
"I don't want to? I wouldn't be so sure about that," I gritted.I couldn't say that I liked the guy that much.
"Ya aëmus vela ravem enis.- I wish you no harm. You can't lie in the old language, even if your head doesn't know what to say," Rick replied calmly.
"Smart ass," I grumbled. "I have something else to do. Do you still have my old dictionary? Japanese - English?"
"Yes, definitely somewhere. But what do you want with that?", He wondered.
"Talking," I replied. He sighed, but made no further attempt to get more out of me. He just knew me too well for that. Instead, he went to his room to find the book. I took the opportunity and let the vacuum cleaner bag with the ashes disappear into my backpack.

Open, that was a difficult birth. That’s how it reads, unfortunately. The annoying scientific German during my studies messes up my beautiful, kitschy fanfic writing style * sniff *. The chapter jumps along, but I finally wanted to get over this point!Anyway, hope you had fun and if there are Yaoi fans among you: Ätschbätsch! Nothing happens! Fooled!
* house cough * Okay, I'd better flee to my books now.
