Drachengeist
The old house
So * cough * as I said, this is my first ff. In the whole story, the thoughts or feelings of Jessica often appear, so don't be surprised that it might be a bit strange sometimes ... Hope you like it ^ - ^
First chapter:
The old house
Jessica goes home from school one afternoon. She does not take her usual route, but makes a detour so that she can come home later. She's still thinking. About himself. And their lives.
Jessica is 15 years old, of medium height and slim. She has long blonde hair that blows wildly in her face when the wind blows and azure eyes that seem to reflect the ocean. She is pretty, sporty, good-natured, always has time for other people's problems and is also committed to others.
She lives in Rosewood, a small town in the south of England, and is in ninth grade at Stormwind High School, where both girls and boys attend classes. She is very popular; and not only in her class, but also with other students. She understands a lot about teaching and has good grades.
In her free time, she plays tennis, goes horse riding, does karate and athletics, and occasionally does fencing. When she is not busy with sports, she meets up with friends, goes shopping, writes stories or draws.
But suddenly she noticed something and stopped: Everything seemed as usual, but when she came to the old, abandoned house in a dark and dirty street, which she had never noticed before, she eyed it curiously. Something was different than usual: she felt cold in her and she thought she heard voices.
"It can't hurt to go in". A queasy feeling in her stomach told her that something might be wrong, but her curiosity drowned that feeling.
"Maybe I'm wrong and there is nothing in the house. But whatever happens there, I want to know."
She went to the door and looked around to see if anyone was around, but the street was empty. No cars were driving, no pedestrians or walkers were on the move, and no skadeboards, which one often saw in such areas. Absolutely nobody! She pushed down the lever on the door. To her amazement, she was open. She went in immediately, carefully closed the door behind her, and looked around. It didn't look particularly strange or strange here: all the things that were standing or lying around were dusty and mostly broken, because since the old, care-dependent woman who had lived here had died, her children had taken care of their mother every day had taken everything valuable. It looked as if the old woman had never owned anything valuable. She was found dead on the couch and everything was rummaged and thrown around as it was now. Some thought it was broken into, but most believed that she had simply died of heart failure after she was ninety-six. But nothing was proven and at some point the case was abandoned or the police and the others who were involved in the case just covered up what caused the womanhad died.
Jessica was about to turn around and leave again when a shimmer shone from one of the rooms on the upper floor. She walked cautiously up the worn stairs and heard strange noises like a song in another language.
Slowly the singing grew louder and the shimmering clearer. Now she was standing in front of a closed door. The light penetrated through the cracks between the door, the frame, and the floor.
She opened the door carefully. Her eyes closed immediately as the light blinded her. When they got used to the light they opened again.
In the middle of the room was a tangle of blue and white colors rotating in an oval.
"So what is that?"
Fascinated, she looked around, walked slowly towards the tangle of colors and reached out her hand to touch it. It felt like it felt cold and warm at the same time. It glittered and her hand shimmered blue too.Suddenly it turned red and tried to suck everything into itself. With all her strength she tried to stop and pushed herself back, but the suction was too strong; she had no chance. The suction got stronger and stronger and finally she couldn't hold herself anymore and fell into it.
All she saw was that she was in a huge spiral of color; then her eyes went black ...
She woke up and felt grass under her.
She sat up and looked around, confused. Here it looked like a big garden: everywhere there were flowers and trees with exotic fruits. Steep, high cliffs loomed on the sides of the garden. A rippling waterfall flowed from a cliff into a crystal clear lake.
"What happened? Where am I here?" Slowly she remembered: "I was in this house where there was a portal. Then I was sucked into it and passed out."
Around them stood and sat many small creatures, some of which looked like animals and resembled soft toys, with button eyes, snub noses and fluffy fur - and between them a boy about their age.He was tall, slim, with straggly blond-brown hair and worn clothes. His eyes were bright green. He wore a black and silver spiked chain around his neck, a dirty-looking and oversized T-shirt, torn and faded shorts, red shoes and blue sweatbands around his wrists. The beings ran around him and communicated with strange noises while
the boy eyed her carefully.
"Who are you and where are you from?" Asked the boy.
"I'm Jessica and I'm from Rosewood, and you?" She replied coolly.
"My name is Jáy and I come from New Scorlland. How did you get here?"
"I can just as well ask you that. I wanted to go home from school when I noticed this old house. There was something like a portal in it that sucked me in and brought me here. And how did you get here?"
came?"
"Well, I went to school and went into a room that was forbidden. There was also a portal there. I don't remember when that was, only that I've been here for quite a while ".
"What kind of beings are they?"
"I don't know exactly either, only that this garden belongs to them and that they are protected from danger here. They tend it and plant these trees and take care of them".
For a long time they didn't talk and just sat there. Then Jessica asked the strange-looking boy: "Can't there really be another being here from the other side of the cliff? There's sure to be something out there, right?"
"Not really, because the beings on the other side know that they would not get out of here, because even if they could fly it would be too far to fly up there on the cliffs. Even if they could do it, they would don't try, because you know that you might crash beforehand - unless ... oh, it's okay! ".
"And isn't there a secret shaft or something?""No, I haven't found one and the beings don't know any either, right?", He turned to a little unicorn creature next to him. "Nata," it said in a low voice and eyed Jessica curiously. It went up to her and sniffed her hand. Then it crawled on top of her. Jessica stroked his head, took it in her arms and said: "You're cute! I'm Jess!" Carefully she put it on the ground and stroked his head again.
"Bi tatu laka!" Said the little creature.
"That means something like: You are nice."
She got up and went to the other little beings. Some of them stroked her too. One held up a fruit and said, "Ta füh tula!"
"Oh, is this for me? Thanks!"
She stroked the creature's head and took the fruit.
"What kind of fruit is that?"
"There is no such thing in our world, but it tastes like an orange."
She looked again at the fruit and tried it."Not bad!"
"Tell me, what do you think, can we ever go back, I mean into our world?"
"I don't know. I haven't found a way back yet, otherwise I wouldn't be here. But I think so, as much as I like this garden and its inhabitants, I hope that we will come back sometime, but stop now ask. It's getting dark. We have to hide! "
He got up, grabbed her arm and called to the creatures: "Come on! We have to go!" He ran quickly to the waterfall with Jessica in tow.
"What's going on? What are we going to do now?"
Jáy touched the wall behind the waterfall and she pushed aside. They quickly ran in and waited for all the little beings. Then the wall closed again and they ran further into the cave.
"What's going on? What are we doing here?"
"I'll explain that to you when it's over!"
"What should be over-" Suddenly the earth shook and Jessica stumbled and fell.Jáy helped her up. Immediately they ran on and came to an archway. Inside was a wall of green-blue light through which they passed. It no longer shook there.
"What's going on here? Why did the earth shake?" Asked Jessica, scared and scared.
"Calm down! Well ... I said that the beings out there cannot come here, but there is a being that flies over this world. It is called the" all-seeing eye ". Everything it sees and therefore claws no one knows what it looks like, because no one survived who saw it. It always appears here on the first day of the new month when it gets dark and every creature that can find it claws. The little beings have shown me this cave and now I remind them when to hide
We will spend the night here because it will be gone in the morning ".
"But ... but how do you know that ?! These creatures couldn't have told you !?"
"No," his voice sounded strange now, as if someone else was saying the same thing as him at the same time, "there is something you should know: I can read other people's minds, but I couldn't always, no after a few weeks or months it happened: I could hear what these beings were thinking and I also know what you are thinking right now!"His voice was serious and his eyes seemed to light up.
Jessica sat on top of it in shock
bare, cold stone floor; as far away as possible from the boy who had told her he could read her mind and made her even more confused and shocked; Jáy.
"Where did I end up here? Will I ever come back home?
Why did I go to this house! What's the matter with this boy anyway ?! I don't know, can I believe him? But that's nonsense! Nobody can read other people's thoughts! Then why should he even be able to do that !? "
For a long time they sat around in silence, thinking
