Sixth chapter:
"Everyone has a dark side!"

After half an hour the kite started to land. Jessica had thought of a name for her kite during the flight: she wanted to call it Saphir. After all, it was her dragon. He was part of their soul and so they were bound to each other.
She had loved dragons since she was a little girl. She had always wished to see one, but as she got older, she slowly stopped believing in dragons. After all, they were just mythical creatures and didn't exist - in any case not on earth. But here, in this other dimension she was in, there were dragons.
In any case, her animal spirit was from that
she suspected that only here she had or could unleash a dragon.
The kite slowed down and flew towards the ground. It slid its wings through the wind. Sapphire stretched out its legs and landed roughly on the ground. He ran a little more to slow down the speed of the flight and folded his thin wings. He stopped and stood still. Where did they have to go now? "Of course! When I thought about Saphir's name, I stopped thinking about Jáy and lost track. That's probably why Saphir landed. He only knows where to fly through me!" She tried to concentrate again.
Suddenly something shot towards Jessica's leg, but missed and pierced the dragon's leg. He gave a low growl and fell. He hit the ground hard and slid another meter or two. Then he lay there sniffing and howling softly. Jessica had fallen off his back and was not far from him. A spear had pierced his hind leg. Dark, thick blood ran down and dripped onto the floor. Not much had happened to Jessica, but she felt a sharp pain in her leg. It didn't hurt because it was broken; she soon realized that. Of course, she also felt pain when something happened to Saphir. He was part of her! He also felt pain when something happened to her!

She heard footsteps. Someone or something that had probably thrown the spear came up to them. She wanted to flee but couldn't run; don't even get up.
The pain in her leg got bigger and bigger. Sapphire lay motionless. His breath rattled. More and more blood ran out of the wound.
Suddenly the footsteps stopped and something stood over her head, but so that she couldn't see it. Two green-gray claws grabbed her arms and pulled her up. The creature banishes her eyes and dragged her behind him.
She didn't know how much time had passed, but at some point she let go of the being and she sank to the ground. She heard noises. They looked familiar to her and suddenly she remembered it again: She had heard such noises when she first used her animal spirit. It was that booming sound like scratching metal.
She stayed where she was and tried as best she could to stay calm. Where was sapphire? Where was Jáy? What would these creatures do to her?
After a short time they straightened Jessica. Her hands were tied together with a strange rope and fastened somewhere. The handkerchief, or whatever it was, was taken from her eyes. She saw something under her on the ground. It was hanging in the air! Now she saw what she had kidnapped: It was a dirty green creature with torn wings, a thin tail with a stinger at the end, pointed yellow teeth, long claws, bright green eyes and kinked legs. It had spikes on its elbows and knees, and its spine protruded.More than a hundred of them were walking around in some kind of large room, the rock walls of which lined many corridors, Jessica assumed that
she was in a cave trying to make out sapphire. He lay in the midst of the many creatures that looked the same and were more or less the same size. .
They kept making that scratchy noise and moving things around.
Many stood around the kite and looked at it. One of the monsters grabbed the spear and pulled it out with a jerk. Jessica screamed in pain. Even sapphire showed that he was in pain, but he lacked the strength to scream. Jessica tried to concentrate the last of her strength. She could accumulate something. She tried to turn sapphire back into a part of her soul. She saw that the dragon was beginning to become transparent. After a few seconds there was only a cloud left of him, which floated up to her and penetrated her. That feeling came over her again. The monsters looked up at her in disbelief. They turned away again and pretended that nothing had happened.
A little later the beings got hectic and ran around. A larger but otherwise identical creature came in through one of these passages. The others threw themselves on the floor and seemed to worship it. There was silence and the creature who was probably their king or something like that spoke to them in a deep voice. The dull, scratchy sound boomed in Jessica's ears. She had almost no strength left and hung lifeless in the air. She felt tired. Only a few minutes passed and she fell asleep.

When she woke up again she was no longer hanging in the air, but lying on the floor. Her leg had been splinted and the shackles removed.
She sat up and got up. The rail, which looked complicated but only consisted of branches and leaves, made her stand up. She had regained strength through sleep, but she didn't know what to do now."Why did these creatures splint my leg? Why did they first ´hang me´ and then bring me back down? Why did they bring me here?" It approached and got louder. That just could not be the case. Jáy! She heard Jáy's voice! She was happy to meet him.
"Probably," she thought, "they caught Jáy too!"
He came in through one of the corridors, followed by several monsters. He saw her and went up to her. Something struck Jessica as weird. Otherwise Jáy's eyes had been clear and friendly, but now he looked ice cold and grinned slightly.
"Ah, Jessica, how are you?" He asked sardonically.
"How am I ?! These beasts caught me and hung me up! I hung helplessly in the air and you asked how I was doing!? Why are you walking around here? If they caught you too, why did they let them wander around here ?!"she replied angrily and yelled at him.
"Well, these beasts, as you called them, are Gargouille, they are related to dragons, but they can handle weapons and tools like humans. Humans and Gargoille used to live together and therefore they can make medicine, make weapons and tools and use them . They are good hunters, as you have already been demonstrated, "he paused for a moment and continued," and they are looking for power. That is why they need you! "
Jessica couldn't believe her ears. What did Jáy say? How did he find out, because you won't think about it all the time, will you?
She caught herself again and asked him confused: "And how do you know all this?"
He continued without paying attention to her question: "Because you, Jessica, can find the '7 Dragon Spirit Crystals'; and only you. They have unimaginable power and that's why the Gargoille want them. I don't know what they want to do with them and I don't care either, but "he walked closer to you," you get what you want.I made a deal with them: they'll get you and I'll get strength. Because my current body is weakened and actually very old. I've been here a long time and it wouldn't do me any good to come back to earth. That's why I don't need the diamonds. I work with them and in order for me to get something they have you. Oh, you still want to know why I know what you want? Have you already forgotten: I can read minds ", he paused and considered.
Jessica couldn't believe it. Was it really the Jáy she knew, the one she had been out with for many days, the one who had carried her because her leg was broken? No, that was impossible for her. Although he had changed in the last few days, he had always been the bright, funny boy and companion for her. Until she got into this dimension, she hadn't had much to do with boys and had avoided them, but once she had known Jáy, her behavior had changed. She had liked to travel with him, even if it was not always easy to get along with him, she had believed they were friends; good friends. But now he seemed treacherous to her, as if he had never been kind.
"What about when I heard the sounds of that Gargoille, or whatever they are called, and fell off the cliff?" Jess asked, dismayed.
"Ah, even before you came into this world, I had this contract with them. They wanted to catch you back then, but when you fell into the ravine, they decided to wait. So that they would find you too, they gave me given this dragon stone because you found. I put it there for you to find. I knew even if I told you to leave it, you wouldn't; and I was right. The Gargoille can sense Where there is such a stone, that's why they were able to catch you. And this man, who met us and told you about your animal spirit, was just an illusion.I created it with the power of the diamond we found at the bottom of the lake. What he said was correct, but I didn't know that you would learn to awaken your animal spirit on the same day. You weren't really in control of it, but you set it free. You are something special. Still, I'm glad to be rid of you. You! I had to wait a long time for what I was longing for would finally come. Now I thought someone would come who, well ... would be different from you, but you of all people! It had to be you! Your manner and all your questions were unbearable! And you're the dragon too, yes, you have the dragon spirit. A being is only born every 1000 years who has an animal spirit that is as strong as yours. Normal people might be able to do something like me, if at all, but your animal spirit was different from everyone else. He was a dragon. A long time ago, when I was here, there were a lot of people here. Some had a strong animal spirit, some a weak one, but you are the only person whose animal spirit is a dragon. It was said that there was only one person whose animal spirit was a dragon, but it had to be you of all
