No one knows
When spring comes
Chapter 1
On a fine afternoon. Shigure and Yuki had just left the house to attend one of the usual gatherings of the Souma family, Tooru stood for a while in front of their new home and waved after them. The two would probably be away for 1-2 days. Thinking about dinner, she turned and headed for the kitchen. Today she had made a tomato risotto. She was eagerly gathering the tomatoes for dinner and did not notice that someone had suddenly come into the kitchen. "Are you gone already ..?" She turned around in surprise. "Kyou-kun! You scared me ..." Kyou looked at her briefly, but then paid more attention to the refrigerator, opened it and took out a carton of milk. Tooru tried to collect himself "Uh, yes, they just left." The redhead only said "aha." out. He was about to turn around to leave when he heard a short "Ouch!" behind. "What has happened again now?"Wanted to know Kyou." Oh ... nothing .. "Tooru turned away so as not to worry him." Of course ... "He looked over her shoulder" You cut your finger ... say it but soon. "He carefully held her finger under cold water:" But you are also a clumsy man! "With these words he took a plaster from the drawer and stuck it around her finger. Tooru watched him intently: // Kyou-kun, you are worried about me ... !? // After work, Kyou looked up When he saw that Tooru had turned red, his face also took on an unusual blush. He quickly took a step to the side. "Well then ..." he stammered and left the kitchen.
"" Uh ...? "She looked after him for a while, but then went back to dinner.
When it was done, she set the table and Kyou gradually came down. It was the first time they ate all alone and both of them seemed somewhat uncomfortable. "Uh .. Kyou-kun, do you even like it?"Tooru asked carefully because she had never made this risotto before." Y-yes "he replied and then there was silence again. Tooru ate rather slowly and was happy when Kyou got a bowl of refills.
Then he even helped her wash up. "Ah .. that's nice of you, thank you!" She said and gave him a plate to dry off. When Kyou touched her finger with the plaster, the previous situation came back to his mind and this time he couldn't help but blush slightly. But he didn't show anything and so they were finished a short time later.
"I'll wash a few things quickly, do you have anything else that you can put in the machine?" Tooru asked quickly. “N-no, that's all included.” She got in response and then saw Kyou go up the stairs. She smiled: // Kyou-kun is always so direct. //
So Kyou sat in his room doing some homework while Tooru turned on the washing machine downstairs. She was just leaving the room when there was a loud bang and the lights and the machine went out again. // The fuse must have gone wrong. // She thought and went a little thoughtfully into the storage room.
At the same time, Kyou had assumed the noise was being made by a burglar or something and crept quietly downstairs. Then he heard a muffled creak and followed his ears. After all, he was strong enough to overpower any intruder. He carefully approached the door and when he suspected the person in the back of the small room he resolutely entered.
Tooru was standing there on a chair and was just reaching for a new fuse that was on top of the fuse box when Kyou stepped in and she was totally startled for the second time that day: "K-kyou-kun?" she asked loudly, tearing down an old ball that was also on the fuse box. Kyou realized at that moment that no one had broken into the house, but that only Tooru had made such a noise and was therefore still so in thoughts that he could no longer hold the ball.Unfortunately for her, it hit the box that Tooru had set up to secure the door, pushed it aside and the door slammed shut. Theoretically, the two were locked in now, as the door could not be opened again, but Kyou just took a powerful kick. But at that moment he remembered Shigure's last warnings: "If you should break my house again, you have to pay for it ..." and he paused.
“What's going on?” Tooru wanted to know. Kyou turned to her. "Oh ... I just thought of something like that." "Oh ..." Tooru looked at the floor for a moment. Then she remembered what she was about to do. So she climbed up on the chair again and finally grabbed the fuse and changed it. Carefully she climbed back down. Then she switched on the small lamp that was in the chamber and sat down on the chair. Kyou sat down on a sturdy wooden box next to it. It was quiet for a while."Kyou-kun ....?" "Hm ...?" "Are we locked in now?" Kyou's hair stood on end again. How could you ask so stupidly? “Of course, you stupid nut!” He snapped at her. Tooru looked up: "Oh, I ... I apologize ... uh .." she stammered. "No, it's okay ... I shouldn't have ..." he looked to the side.
Tooru slowly despaired: "Yuki and Shigure will definitely be gone for a while ... what are we going to do?" She looked Kyou in the eyes: "I don't know .." He answered and avoided looking at her. “But then we'll be locked in here for maybe two days.” She lowered her gaze.
Kyou poked her arm. "It'll be fine again ..." He smiled the smile he only gave Tooru. She looked up. A slight blush graced her face. Then he quickly withdrew his hand. It was very quiet for a while before Tooru said she had recently checked out this book on martial arts and read some of it. They talked a little about it and Kyou seemed very enthusiastic, he showed her some tricks and so a couple of hours passed. But then it became quiet again between the two of them. Tooru was getting tired. It was well after midnight, after all. Kyou as a "cat" had no problems staying for a couple of nights, although he had noticed that Tooru was getting weaker and weaker. He looked at her questioningly. "Would you like to lie down?" "Oh no, please don't worry ... I ... I .." "Oh what, you'd better lie down before ..." She fell into the sentence: " No, that's okay ... I ... sch .. aff .. that ... "But before she had finished speaking, she sank onto Kyou's lap.
Kyou sat very still for a while. Tooru's action had surprised him so much that he couldn't move. A strand fell across her face. He carefully brushed it back to its original place. Kyou eyed Tooru. He realized how much she meant to him. He never really thought about it. But she had often given him a few happy hours, he knew that. Then his thoughts left him and he too slowly fell asleep. The next morning the sun shone through the small window and woke Tooru. She was shocked when she noticed that she had been lying on Kyou's lap that night, but she stayed quiet so as not to wake him. She was visibly embarrassed and worried that she had just recharged Kyou like that. She took a deep breath and then carefully pulled away from him to go quietly to the window and look out. She couldn't see much. The window seemed so dirty to her that she took a rag and carefully cleaned it. Only now did the sun shine really brightly into the room, so that Kyou also woke up from it.
When he came to, he slowly realized again what situation they were in. He grumbled briefly, then looked up to see Tooru at the window. She smiled at him: "Ah .. Kyou-kun, did you sleep well?" "As good as it gets on a cardboard box." He mumbled. But Tooru was not deterred: "Look, it's day and the sun is shining so beautifully."Kyou had to blink when he looked straight into the rays." I think it's so nice when the sun is shining. "Said Tooru, still smiling." We'd better find a way to get out of here ... "came from Kyou this time.
Grumbling, he stretched as Tooru ran over to him and took his hand. She dragged him to the window: "But look! Outside everything is green and the flowers are opening!" And again she had surprised him so much. He looked out the window and felt the warmth of her hand holding his. He was about to blush again and therefore turned a little to the side: "Yes, yes .." he mumbled again. Tooru felt misunderstood. She let go of his hand again and looked sadly at the floor: “Did I say something wrong?” She asked: “My mother used to say that when spring comes, then not only the flowers bloom, but also the emotions.”
Kyou pricked up his ears: "Feelings ..?" he repeated. "Yes." She replied: "I didn't know then what she meant by that ... but today ... I'm not sure ..." Kyou looked to the side: "Tooru, I ..." he said quietly. She felt how he took her hand: "What is it?" She was surprised, but then something occurred to her: "Oh, you are definitely hungry, aren't you?" Kyou looked at her a bit strangely: "No .." he pulled she moved a little closer to herself and looked deep into her eyes. Tooru blushed. "Kyou-kun ..?!" Then he paused: "Ah .. I'm sorry." He grimaced and let go of her: "And now you have to be stuck here with me in this room all the time ..."
Tooru wondered: “But no, I like being with you. Don't say something like that.” She looked at him seriously: “Or are you not feeling well?” Tooru quickly felt Kyou's forehead. "I have nothing .." he said, but she couldn't be dissuaded. When she couldn't feel anything with her hand, she put her own forehead against his. Then she smiled again: "Ok, you probably don't have a fever." She had overwhelmed him again. Her face has never been so close to his being, his heart was pounding and he took courage again. He embraced her arms: "Tooru ... is ... you actually prefer one of us?"She didn't know exactly what he meant:" One of whom? "She asked." Well, the rat or me .. "Kyou lowered his head. Tooru still looked a bit perplexed:" Um .. I've never thought about that ... Each of you is so different. "" Oh .. "Kyou lowered her head and let go of her.
. "It's like that .." Tooru put a hand on her heart and closed her eyes: "When I think of Souma-kun, I am happy that we are friends and that he is here. I love you both so much, too Shigure-san. But when I think of Kyou-kun it's somehow different. Then everything gets warm and I always
