Because I love you

mustn't let him die. He just doesn't deserve that. Oh dear ... "
With these thoughts Tyla got up carefully and crept to the door while Chris turned back and forth. Tyla pushed her way through the slightly open door. She ran into the kitchen where her food bowl was. With the greatest displeasure she examined the pungent smelling dog food and deeply disgusted she wrinkled her nose.
"Uh, I don't eat that! But where should I put it? Hmm, didn't Chris have a garden pond ?!"With this poorly developed plan, Tyla, along with her food bowl, set out to put him into practice. With the relatively light pot in her mouth, she strolled through the living room to the terrace door, which, luckily for her, was left open when Chris father left the house to get bread. This was her chance, like an oiled lightning bolt she shot across the lawn to the pond. With the bowl still firmly in her mouth, she got to work, tilting her head and pouring the food into the water. When the last bit of dog food was gone after the greatest effort, she started back. She already heard the bicycle pull into the yard and with one jump she jumped over the small threshold back into the living room. In the kitchen, she safely stowed her food bowl again and then headed upstairs in good hope. She looked carefully through the open crack in the door, but no one was there.
"Phew, lucky, he seems to have taken a shower."The little dog fell on his backside and looked sadly at her growling belly. Out of sheer hunger she didn't even notice how the door slid open and Chris came in. She only looked away from her tummy when she was spoken to:
"Well, you are back, too, little runaway."
Tyla raised her head and a loud squeak that gradually turned into a gasp echoed across the room.
"Oops, what is it? Are you scared?"
Chris stood in the doorway smiling, with nothing more than a towel that hung wet over his shoulder and blue underpants. Tyla would have loved to fall over at that moment, but somehow you couldn't hear her and so she just sat there and stared stubbornly at the ground. Chris just laughed at the strange behavior of his dog and crouched down next to her.
"Come here, Sira!", He asked and held out both hands to her.
Water dripped down from his wet hair and ran down his muscular torso.Tyla was hypnotized, she padded unsteadily towards Chris, straight into his open arms. Grinning, he took the little dog and got up. Tyla noticed how she was getting dizzy and everything in her head was spinning. Chris seemed to be talking to her but it didn’t reach her, all she saw were rotating images. Suddenly Chris put the little dog back, completely unexpected for the little one and so she sagged properly.
"Sira, what about you?", Chris shouted dismayed and let himself fall on the floor next to Tyla.
"Oh dear, pull yourself together Tyla, otherwise he'll never get dressed. Come on, get up!" Tyla admonished herself and tried to get up.
In order not to fall over again, she sat down and blinked at Chris. Overjoyed and relieved, he stroked Tyla's head. Then he left the little dog and went to his closet. A few minutes later he was completely dressed and stood waiting in the doorway."Are you coming Sira?", He asked the dog and went out into the hall. Of course, Tyla didn't ask twice and followed Chris down into the kitchen. He was already standing next to the empty pot and noted with admiration:
"Oho, you must have been hungry."
Tyla looked at the food bowl, from this to Chris and finally to the richly laid breakfast table.
"What does" have had "mean here? I'm still starving!"
Chris had long since abandoned the dog and his bowl. He was holding a small note in his hands that obviously had something written on it. After reading the message, he threw the note in the garbage can and turned back to Tyla.
"It looks like we'll have to have breakfast alone. Dad had to leave earlier and mom is gone too. Well, at least he got some rolls."
He pulled the chair out from under the table and sat down. Without a word, he picked up a roll and began to have breakfast. It was a depressed and uncomfortable mood. Tyla felt how it had clearly thrown Chris down to have to have breakfast alone. He had often mentioned that his parents were on the road a lot, but they hadn't known that it was so close to him. She hadn't known so much about him, although they had known each other for so long. It was strange and unbearable for Tyla, but she had no idea what she could do for him as a little dog. Because a dog couldn't replace a person, could it?
When Chris had almost completely eaten his bun, Tyla knew that she would have to do something if she wanted to get something between her teeth today. She bumped her head energetically against his leg and then expected a reaction, but nothing happened. Startled, as the piece of bread was getting smaller and smaller, she ran up against his leg. A little too hard as it seemed, because it bounced off him and slid back over the smooth tiles, against one of the kitchen cupboards. But it was worth it, Chris was startled as if he had just slept soundly. He looked down his leg, but there was nothing. Only when he slowly let his gaze wander in the direction of the cupboard did he see the small staggering dog trying to get back to the table.
"You're really too funny. You want something off, don't you? Well, here you have something.", He said affectionately and tossed the rest of his bun to Tyla.
She watched the bitten bun with a bit of skepticism, but after the tiny moments of reflection she pounced on it like a bloodthirsty predator. After she had eaten it and her stomach had stopped growling for the time being, she thought in a bad mood:
"How good that I'm in such a small body. The stomach isn't that big either, otherwise I would probably starve to death in the six weeks!"

Tyla, who was already pounding her sweet little head about what to do now, decided not to leave Chris for the time being. She didn't really know what to do instead.
After Chris had cleaned up the kitchen, he went back to his room. He got a capy, a large bath towel, like suntan lotion, and sunglasses. Tyla was already feeling angry when she observed the hustle and bustle closely, because everything looked like bathing or sunbathing. For the time being without panicking herself again, she sauntered after him. But she was right, because Chris went straight to his bike and looked in its basket for his things. Tyla, who was tired of running afterwards, stayed seated next to the bike while Chris hurried back into the house. He closed the patio door and came out through the front door. As he walked towards the bike, he tied the lanyard around his neck. Only when he got closer to her did Tyla open the leash over his shoulder, from which a collar also hung. Both were made of blue, braided nylon. Tyla snorted, knowing what was coming, running for miles next to a bike.As expected, Chris put on her collar and leash, but suddenly he grabbed her, picked her up and put her in the basket with his things. Surprised and questioning, she blinked at him, whereupon he literally said, explaining:
"We're both going to the lake now, after all, it should be warm again today."
Inwardly, Tyla had to laugh out loud and joyfully, but also mockingly, she thought:
"How naive, as if the weather forecast was correct."
But when she then looked beyond this naivety and saw herself sink into his deep, sad, blue eyes, the laughter ceased.
"Somehow I feel sorry for him, he makes such a lost and lonely impression. As if he had lost something important ..., so ... like me when he was ..., oh no, such nonsense, that certainly has nothing to do with me ! "
Offended by her own thoughts, she wrapped herself tightly in the bath towel and tried to enjoy the passing landscape, because Chris had already set off.Less than a quarter of an hour later they arrived at the Badesse, known to Tyla, but no one was there except them. After a quick look around, Chris got off his bike and picked up Tyla.
"We're both making ourselves comfortable now. Go ahead and run."
He sent the puppy off with a quick pat on the bottom, then he took his bike and pushed behind the leading Tyla.
Since Tyla had already been here many times, she of course also had her personal favorite place which she went to immediately. It was a small mouth of the oval lake, which lay in the middle of a small forest. There was only one wide side of the beach, where most people cavorted as soon as it got warm, but the rest of the lake was inaccessible by steep sand walls. The exception was a single place, nicely located in the shade of the tall trees, but difficult to access because you had to fight your way through all kinds of bushes and thickets. But it was worth the effort, because on the one hand you were undisturbed and had a lot of space to splash, sunbathe and swim, but also the view that you could enjoy was simply fantastic. The sun made the clear water shine like a diamond and at night the moon bathed everything in shining silver.
Full of anticipation, she ran along the wide forest path, once around the lake to get to the desired place. With fire in her eyes she struggled through the undergrowth and finally reached the shallow bank of the lake. Chris had it a little more difficult with his bicycle and a height of 1.80 m, but he also made it and beaming with joy he looked at the little dog, to whom he happily whispered:
"It's strange that you just chose this place. You know, this is the favorite place of a very good friend of mine. We spent a few summers here."
He stroked her head gently, kneading her ears lovingly. After enough love affairs, he left Tyla alone and got his bathing suit off the bike. While he was busy spreading out, Tyla lay down on the warm sand, let the sun shine on the fur and with a smile made her thoughts:"Yes, what a coincidence that I just found this place. So the favorite place of a very good friend.
