Because I love you
plate from the floor and set it on his desk, glancing at his cell phone, which was next to the computer. To his surprise, the message "New Message" flashed on the display. From the thoughtful dimples on his forehead, Tyla immediately recognized what was going on in her boyfriend. Curiously, he picked up the phone and read the text message sent to him. From line to line, word to word, his charming smile shone brighter. He put the cell phone aside, crouched, and clapped his thighs twice. For Tyla that meant going to him, which of course, as a dog, well behaved, she did immediately. When Chris arrived, he immediately lifted her up in the air and shouted loudly:
"She's fine! She's fine! She just hasn't had a chance to report."
Chris grinned up to his ears and Tyla had nothing else to do with this sight than to be happy with him, even if he threw the little dog up to under the covers in his exuberant joy, but thankfully caught him again.
Chris had dropped Tyla down again and had already run out of the room to pass on the new message. Tyla looked proudly at the silver cell phone and boasted:
"I'm just brilliant. He's not so sad anymore and I've come a little closer to my goal."
With a smile, Tyla jumped onto the soft, freshly made bed, where she made herself comfortable for the time being. Of course, as was the nature of Tylas, she was asleep within minutes. Actually, Tyla was a rather lazy and lazy person, but in the past few weeks she had been kept on her toes, especially she had lacked sleep. But now that the most difficult hurdles had been overcome for the time being, she was finally able to sleep peacefully again.
Tyla opened her eyes, but it remained dark. There was nothing far and wide. Just this black, fear-filling emptiness. She couldn't even see herself, but her other senses were also absent. An unbroken silence dominated the darkness and Tyla became more and more eerie. She wanted to scream for help, for Chris, but no sound escaped, all her silent screams dissipated into the black nothing. Suddenly and with tremendous volume, a deafening squeak came through the darkness. It was so sudden and unexpected that it knocked Tyla to the ground, if there was any ground at all. She was trembling all over, the squeaking bored through her skull and she felt as if she was going out of her mind. She screamed and roared in agony, although no sound broke out of her. She thought she was about to die when suddenly and unexpectedly the squeaking came to an end.Again everything was wrapped in silence and Tyla almost choked on her fear when an unpleasant smell rose to her nose. A horrified scream and a disgusting damp feeling on her paws. Her heart pounded in her chest because it didn't take any light to reveal to Tyla that she was standing in a pool of blood. Tyla felt like she had landed directly in Hell, but she just didn't know why.
She had just realized that there was blood in a puddle, when it had already disappeared again. Tyla trembled all over, she whirled around and did not give up shouting into the darkness. Their desperate screeching, which could not be heard anyway, only came to an end when another noise rang out. An object fell to the ground. Tyla heard it very clearly, she saw it in her mind. Something hit the ground and bounced, and many more, small pieces followed. It was strange but somehow the sound seemed familiar to her, but she couldn't figure out what it was. Before she had even come close to a solution, everything fell silent again and Tyla awaited the next atrocity with unimaginable fear. But nothing happened, it remained dark and mute.
"I want to get out of here!" Tyla shouted from her heart, with all the strength she had within her. Almost scared to death by her own words, she passed out.
"Good morning New York. This day we ..." boomed the radio announcer from Chris' small portable radio. He was the first thing Tyla noticed when she awoke from her nightmare bathed in sweat. Still deeply sleepy, she squinted over to the bed, which stood there untouched. It hit her like a blow and all the tiredness was wiped away. Her eyes wide open and fearful of the worst, she jumped from her seat and ran to the door of the room, which was only a tiny crack open. She was just about to carefully push her little head out when the grandmother's voice reached the top."Have fun then my boy! Be back this afternoon, you hear. Oh, and here you have some money."
"Thank you Grandma!"
Tyla caught her breath and almost tore her heart out of her body when she heard Chris' voice. Nothing held her back any longer, everything seemed almost too late anyway and so there was nothing left for her to do but hurry after him to keep the spark of hope still. Faster than she knew how to coordinate her four paws correctly, she hurried down the stairs. Just halfway up the stairs in front of her, she jumped off, landed on the hard tiles of the hallway that led exactly to the front door. She almost shot over the target, barely rammed the old lady, who was so terrified that she could only utter a bitter scream. But Tyla didn't let that put her off, it was as if she didn't hear it at all and so she kept walking. She was only seconds late after him, then she found him with one leg already in the taxi. Tyla barked, she practically screamed the soul out of the body in which she was tied up, but neither soul nor voice penetrated outside. It felt like a deep knife stabbed in the chest. It was like Degavu, all the pictures; the terrible dream ran past her, repeated here in reality.
Not hearing Tyla's screams and pleading, Chris got into the car, whereupon it drove off.
The mind ordered her to stop, because the matter seemed finally lost, but her heart did not stop her, it drove her, pressed her blood through her veins. As if ridden by the devil, she ran after the taxi until her strong heart was no longer able to compensate for the deficits in her body. Her lungs had almost ripped it open and every muscle in her was pulling and tugging. It should have broken like a mirror, but something seemed to hold them together. Not as usual she gave up on herself and everything else immediately, no, on the contrary, despite all the reasons that this time God would have been enough to really give up, ignored her and only did what she was advised to trust herself until beyond any absurdity.Everything in her head was spinning and she was desperately looking for a way to continue the chase, when suddenly a pickup truck stopped next to her with its loading flap lowered.
"What else am I supposed to lose? All or nothing!"
Tyla hurried towards the car in large leaps and jumped up onto the back of the car just in time. She laboriously pulled her body onto the safe surface on which she collapsed, completely exhausted. Gasping loudly, she lay on her back, all four of them stretched out, squinting at the sky. It was no more than a few seconds that she lingered like this before she was already on her paws again, nervously looking for the taxi. Without wasting any thought of caution, she pushed her head over the barrier to the loading area to look past the cab. She ran from left to right and back again, but the taxi was nowhere to be seen. The sheer panic made the blood rush to her head again and suddenly tightened her throat."Where is he? Where? Damn it! Please not, not like that…! Not so close to the goal! I beg you dear God, please help me again!"
She screwed up her eyes tightly, whereupon she opened them again. Her gaze swept across the wide street and everything in her pleaded and asked for a sign, but nothing had changed.
The streets were overcrowded and even the sidewalks were bustling with the crowds that boosted the economy at such an early hour. No wonder Tyla was now in the immediate vicinity of one of the largest shopping malls in New York. Suddenly, Tyla's optimism was wiped away, all hope of a happy ending vanished. With her head already hanging low to the ground, she had lost herself for good. She whimpered miserably to herself, dissipated in her tearing pain. It was not possible for her to cry, not a drop moistened the ground in front of her feet and inwardly her heart was bleeding, impaled by thorns, not giving up on beating."I failed again! What an idiocy, as if I was able to do something like that, ha. I'm much too stupid for that anyway, I should have known right away. Now I've missed his only chance. All because I overslept ..., asleep ...! "
Suddenly it fell like scales from her eyes and as if it were a large lump of concrete, she jerked her head up with all her might. The dream she had had, all the events of the dream came back into reality. At first her voice stayed away, now she couldn't see anything, at least not what she wanted to see. Everything was like that terrifying dream. Firmly convinced that the dream should help her, she closed her eyes and pricked up her ears. In her mind she pleaded again for help:
"Please, let him say something! Let me hear him, find him, please!"
With every second that passed, the fear increased until she almost threatened to overtake her again, something that she had almost no longer believed in herself. Her extremely sensitive dog's hearing filtered the longed-for words out of all the noises around her.
"Thank you, Mr.!"
Her eyes widened and she saw the taxi parked a few yards behind her truck. Chris had got out and said goodbye to the taxi driver. The tremendous feeling of happiness shot through her heart and it was a painful stabbing that almost brought her to her knees, but despite all the warnings her body gave her, she never thought to give up for a moment, not even to pause for a moment .
The truck had just stopped at a traffic light and Tyla used this to escape from it and continue her pursuit. With one gigantic leap, she jumped off the vehicle and hit the asphalt hard. She lay there in a daze for only a tiny moment, but then the next danger lurked that would doom
