Lovesickness and festive mood.

Naruto was in bed. No matter how much he wanted to, he just couldn't sleep.
A coughing fit shook him. When he had calmed down, he closed his eyes.
A sneeze and a thought didn't let him sleep again. ° Aika ..... ° He knew exactly.
She no longer loved him. And then another thought crept in.
A terrible one.
° Aika ....... Neji? °
He sighed, he was tired and his throat hurt. And his chest.
Why did this always happen to him? Given how many times he and Aika had argued in the past and then reconciled, you'd think they really like each other. But, no ... it always happened to him.
He buried his face in his hands.
He thought of Neji again. He had noticed something during the preparations for the festival on Sunday when he was not yet sick.
When Ino came he was talking to Aika. And Naruto would probably never be able to forget her look afterwards.After that she had obviously had an argument with Xena and Naruto had quickly looked away.
Tomorrow was the festival and Naruto would not go, he was miserable and not only because of the cold. Who did Aika go with?
Maybe Xena and Hinata. But just not Neji, anything else would be more than ok. But just not Neji !!
He saw how it was getting light. He hadn't slept all night.
Tired, he turned to one side so that the sun wouldn't blind him.
The doorbell rang.
° And that too ... ° he thought exhausted and dragged himself to the door.
When it opened, Hinata and Sakura came in.
"Hello." said Naruto and his voice sounded rough and gritty.
"Hello, Narut. We brought you something to eat. We have to go to training right away, so ..."
Naruto cut her off. "Sakura, I have a headache."
"Sorry." He looked at the girls. Hinata and Sakura looked happy. He didn't want to imagine what he would look like now."Hinata?"
"Yes?" she asked while she was packing something into Naruto's fridge.
"Hinata, who is Aika going to the party with?" he asked and sat down on a chair.
Hinata thought for a moment.
Sakura looked at her as intently as Naruto did.
"She's not going." Hinata said quickly and turned back to the refrigerator.
Naruto let out a sigh of relief. ° Thank God. °
Hinata and Sakura left again.
"That's not true, is it?" asked Sakura on the way. Hinata shook her head.
"No, but I definitely won't tell Naruto. She's going with Neji." Sakura nodded understandingly. "It's already clear." she said.
And they parted.
Hinata went to her team and Sakura, logically, to hers.
Sasuke, Aika and Xena were already there. Neji was probably still asleep. He made the most of the fact that Kakashi was always late.
Xena and sasuke cursed each other loudly. And they should go to the party together?
"Hi Guys!" Hinata called and the two taps stopped screaming for a moment."Hello Hinata." greet Aika kindly and shortly afterwards they saw Neji coming from afar.
And then finally, much later, Kakashi came. The youngsters sighed, but nobody said anything anymore. Even if they had protested, the next time he would have been late again.
"Well, we'll help to hang up the decorations today, then we'll be done." he announced and Xena was happy. "It's easy!" she cheered,
but she was wrong.
At dizzying heights, they had to hang up on wobbly ladders, large lettering and garlands. "Oh man." Xena pimped over and over again. And every time she said that, Aika and Hinata laughed. Finally,
they put on another big net with confetti in it. When the festival began, it would trickle down on the people of Konoha.
Xena was already imagining it in a fascinating way. Finally they were done and Kakashi wanted to say something else.
"Well, see you tonight. It starts at half past five, so don't be late." he said in a good mood."Who are you going with?" Xena asked suddenly. Kakashi felt himself blush a little and for moments like this he wore this mask.
"With a girlfriend." he said and sent her home. "Annoying little beasts." he muttered and disappeared in a cloud of smoke.
Aika and Xena hurried home.
Xena was in the shower first. And Aika sat formally in her closet looking for something to wear. Xena padded dripping wet from the shower.
"Why don't you brush your tongue?" Aika teased her.
Xena just stuck out her tongue and disappeared into her room.
Aika slipped into the shower and hurried. It was three thirty, so only an hour and a half.
She stormed out of the shower and noticed Xena in a beautiful summer dress, who was trying to sit down.
"Just don't sit down with it." warned Aika.
And Xena looked around.
"You're looking great." Aika said and Xena thanked her.
"Let's bet you won't find anything ..." Xena said and grinned.She ran up to her cousin and the dress danced around her knees.
Aika nodded and wondered how Xena knew that. But after all, she had known Aika for a long time, which Aika liked to forget.
Xena grinned, she went into Aika's room and looked at the mess. Just like everywhere else, there were clothes.
"As I can see, you've been looking hard." she said and grinned again.
And Aika blushed.
Xena went to her closet. And opened a drawer that Aika hadn't noticed before.
"You did that a year ago ..." said Xena. "... You went to some reception with Naruto ..." Aika simply ignored that part.
"... you thought it better not to wear the dress with the normal things." Aika nodded gratefully.
"I would never have found that ... thank you" Xena disappeared from the room. Aika put on the dress and admired herself in the mirror.
It was longer than Xena's, it went up to her ankles and there weren't any flowers on it, like her cousin's.Beautiful black patterns ran up the white dress.
And besides, Aika had always thought she wouldn't look white because of her black hair.
Aika put her hair in an elaborate bun and let a few strands hang out in front. She came to Xena in the living room.
She had just managed to smear mascara in her eye and ran in circles.
"Xena, it makes you dizzy. Go to the bathroom." said Aika and Xena disappeared.
The next half hour was hectic, especially because Xena had wanted to sit down at least five times and Aika had to stop her in good time each time.
Then the doorbell rang and Xena ran in circles again.
"Stop it, damn it!" Aika scolded and Xena calmed down. Aika went to the door and opened it.
