Little by little, the senseis who were invited to this mission also came.
"I don't think Ami will come anymore!" Said Hinata to the others as they marked the last stretch.
"You know her! I'm sure she just sweaty the appointment", Sakura replied and looked at her best friend sideways. "Sometimes I think Ami lives in a world of its own."
"Just because she's interested in things other than clothes and the latest gossip, Ami doesn't live in another world!", Temari defended her best friend.
"Do you think we'll get Naruto to face soon?" Tenten tried to change the subject.
"That scoundrel!" Sakura gasped. "He can experience something when I meet him! I mean, he can't do that to my best friend!". Sakura was about the gruff way Naruto had treated Hinata and made no secret of her feelings!
"Just leave Sakura," Hinata asked. "Maybe it was just a misunderstanding between Naruto and me."
Sakura looked at her in surprise. "How can you forgive a guy who only treated you so bad yesterday? Naruto ain't the some nice boy here in Konoha. All you have to do is look around a little!"
"But there is also a lot of average!" Ino added and wrinkled his nose.
Hinata didn't reply. Secretly, however, she hoped to see Naruto again soon. She had to know how things were between them before drawing a line on this relationship for good. It couldn't, no, couldn't be true, that everything should be over because of a stupid argument between her and Naruto.
She took a few steps away to be alone and let her thoughts go. She left 5 stunned girls behind.
"I think she still loves him!", Tenten suddenly spoke up when Hinata was out of earshot." No, worse, she doesn't want to let go of him! "
"Hmm ... I think you're right, but tell me one thing. Since when has Naruto been arguing about such kid stuff? I don't understand. I don't know, but something is fishy!", Temari replied and looked around seriously.
"Well ... I don't know him like that either, but ... If you hurt my Hinata, it's always your turn, cha!", Sakura replied, slightly angry.
She was about to continue when the boys showed up and they could finally begin their mission! But they didn't move! "But Sensei! What's going on?" Temari asked confused. She preferred to be silent, but now she could no longer contain herself. She had been so looking forward to today and now should you wait? "Well .... But the new one is not there yet! Tachi ...", Kakashi answered already annoyed.
"You know what? I'll wait here and the rest of you will go ahead.We'll catch up with you faster in twos! ", he suggested. An enthusiastic nod followed. And the young Shinobi set off.
Towards evening they had already reached their hostel. Though this was an understatement, because there was a grand house in front of them.
When they entered, a pleasant smell hit them. It smelled of the best spices and the food made your mouth water. But otherwise it was quite handsome.
Hinata noticed that there were two marble statues each resembling a dog next to the reception desk.
Apparently they were already expected because the man at the front desk gave them a key in pairs and distributed them to the rooms.
"Another busybody!", Hinata thought, annoyed. You followed the neatly dressed man who explained when and where to eat and otherwise talked about irrelevant topics.
The room layout was as follows: Hinata / Sakura, Ino / Tenten, Temari / Gaara, Sasuke / Naruto, Shikamaru / Kiba, Neji / Tachi.Although Temari would have actually gone into a room with Ami but since she wasn't there, she went into one with Gaara.
However, it had hit Neji the worst. He didn't know Tachi yet and didn't even want to get to know him!
Hinata found it all very luxurious, because each Shinobi had its own locker in the hotel lobby in which to store his slippers / street shoes.
They were even given the names of a single one.
Hinata's compartment was next to that of her friends and she was happy that Narutos was on the other end.
At least that way she didn't have to see him that often!
The girls decided to go to their rooms and take a shower first.
When they were finished after about an hour they went back downstairs.
Hinata suddenly stopped in front of the long line of lockers. She thought she heard a high-pitched, piercing sound.
Tenten noticed the expression on her face contorted with pain. "What do you have?"she asked worried.
"Me? Nothing. I just thought I heard something," Hinata replied calmly. The sound had sounded distant, like the distorted voice in her dream.
"Hurry up, we're going to be late for dinner!" Ino urged.
At that moment Sakura shouted, "Look! Something is hanging on Hinata's locker!"
The 5 girls stared for a moment as if spellbound at a small, tied package the size of a cigarette packet, which hung on a thread from the lock of the compartment.
"Oh, a gift from a secret admirer," Ino teased.
"Or a bomb that was placed there by an enemy shinobi!" Said Temari.
"Or a present from Naruto," thought Hinata. She hoped it was his ring of love. He was sure to want to give it back, but didn't know how to do it. "Typically Naruto", she thought, "We have known each other for more than three years, but he is still reluctant to show his feelings openly."
She picked up the box and realized immediately that she was wrong.The package was too light to contain a ring. Carefully she loosened the straps and lifted the lid. Sakura, Ino, Tenten and Temari looked excitedly over her shoulder.
It was not yet clear what was hidden in the box. The contents were wrapped in a small piece of cloth.
"What's in it?" Tenten whispered impatiently.
Hinata carefully opened the cloth with one finger. She backed away in horror. The echo of that hollow voice from her dream rang in her ears.
"It's a lock of hair," said Hinata, amazed.
For a moment the five girls looked at the golden lock on the fabric in silence.
“Why should someone give me such a gift?” Hinata shook her head, perplexed. She carefully took the curl between two fingers and held it up in front of her. She felt a vague sense of fear. A clot of sweat formed on the palms of her hands.
"What nonsense!" She said finally in a firm voice.
"Look!", shouted Sakura and pointed to the box. On a piece of paper, which was at the bottom of the package, was written in blood red letters:

You are in my power!

Naruto was lying on his bed and thinking. He was afraid that his head would burst because he had been thinking so much lately. But what should he do?
There was a knock on the door of his room and he opened it. He was a bit amazed because all his friends were standing in front of him: Neji, Sasuke, Gaara, Kiba and Shikamaru. He knew they were worried about him, but he wouldn't have thought it was that bad.
He put on his fake grin and yawned in boredom, holding his arms behind his head so no one could see his trembling hands.
"Come on in. Sasuke you live here, why are you knocking?" He asked in a voice that should sound interested.
"Oh, you know ... I wanted to give you some time!" He replied calmly.
Nobody but the two of them understood."Naruto we're worried about you! What's wrong with you and Hinata?", Kiba asked directly.
And this question, which came so suddenly, made Naruto's features slip and his arms sank.
"Nothing ... I mean what should be?" He wanted to know again, bored.
Neji was just about to begin his sentence when they were called to dinner and Naruto disappeared in no time at all.
He wasn't hungry, but he wanted to avoid questions from his friends.
Gaara looked after him, shaking her head. He understood. Naruto used to be often alone like him and therefore couldn't speak openly about his problems.
If it wasn't for Naruto, he would be the same now!

-Flashback-

Gaara was lying across from the blond-haired Chuunin from Konoha and he felt that he was just as weak as he was.
They had just fought each other and Naruto Uzumaki had defeated him ... HIM Gaara Sabuko! He had actually thought that his teammate Sasuke Uchiha would be strong, but if he thought it over again, Naruto was stronger than him!And now, after an exhausting and long struggle, they faced each other.
"I will defeat you and save my friends. You said they are not worth it but that is not true! They are the people I want to see happy. For whom I would give my life! THAT is real strength and not for." you know I used to be an outsider. They had avoided me, said MONSTER to me and that only because I had Kyuubi in me. I was in the end but then Sasuke, Sakura, Kakashi and Iruka came into my life and have made it worth living. In the meantime there are more and more! Yes, we used to be similar but I have learned to deal with it, to make friends with others while you are always for yourself and like to kill people. You are different from me, because I can LOVE ! "
These words had hit him hard and he had to think of his uncle's words. It had all been so complicated, but by then he had learned to love and made friends.And Naruto was something like his role model! Even if he had never admitted it ...
