Avatar - Im Zeichen der Freiheit
Night events
Our heroes slept calmly without knowing that Zuko and his uncle had also set up a resting place not far from them. It had been a little longer since there was a confrontation between them.
At that time Iroh was looking for hot baths and his nephew had to prove himself against Aang and his companions alone. The only thing that Zuko kept from the fight, and that wasn't the Avatar, was a scar on his right upper arm that he had received from Sokka's boomerang. Sokka then quickly withdrew and sought protection behind Appa. Zuko remained in his fighting stance and thought quickly before Aang could deliver his next blow: "Another scar and not even from a serious opponent ...Without further ado, a gigantic wave of air tore Zuko to the ground, who is there lingered for a moment, until he composed himself. When he looked around, he could only hear the blowing of the wind. The avatar had slipped away from him again and his pride was hurt again. The night was calm. In the vicinity of our heroes one could only hear a faint snore of Sokka, which also babbled to himself from time to time. Aang had meanwhile fallen back and was now lying on his back. Only Momo woke up and curled up again on the young avatar. Toph was the quietest sleeper of all, which was probably also due to her little earth house. Even Appa slept pretty soundly and soundly. Katara dreamed but didn’t show it. She dreamed of a large and beautiful clearing. A young man stood on the horizon. She ran towards him, but whenever she took a step, he took one too. In this dream, the waterbender wanted to be as close to this young man as possible, even if she didn't know who it was. It was so far away from Katara that she could not even correctly read the outline of the rising sun. Who was that?
Zuko had to grapple with familiar nightmares that night. How his father put the scar on his face. How his mother just disappeared. All these nightmares made the former prince toss and turn. A few seconds after Zuko had dreamed of his sister, who laughed maliciously at the death of their mother, he was sitting upright in the grass with quick breath. His hands were clutching the grass as if the thin blades of grass could hold him tight. Zuko stared into the darkness for a while longer. His breathing returned to normal. He wondered how long those dreams would haunt him. When he let his gaze wander over the small rest area, he could only see his uncle, who could even talk about tea in his sleep. Zuko had to smile silly and a little amused. He wasn't alone - he still had his uncle. At the thought, Zuko sighed indulgently and dropped back onto the grass. It wasn't forever before he fell asleep again.
