Chapter: In The End

It had been a week since Sora and I shared the Papu. When Riku found out about it, he looked hurt and disappointed, but an argument was still avoided. He seemed to have coped with it by now. In addition, someone recently moved into the neighboring house. Like almost all girls on Destiny Islands, she had apparently taken an interest in him. Riku didn't notice it himself, but whenever the three of us met, he would tell something about her. For example, that she liked doing sports like he did and, unlike many girls, didn't use excessive make-up, which he liked, or how funny she was and so on ... I grinned slightly. Riku certainly liked her more than he admitted.
However, it bothered me that Sora and I haven't kissed a single time. Once Wakka accidentally threw his ball against Sora's head, another time Selphie hit us at the wrong moment. Something or someone in between can always do it.I sighed softly. It was more important to me that our fates were connected, but I wouldn't mind a little kiss.
Without really realizing it, I went to the secret place. I connected many fond memories with this place and smiled. If I was there before, I could go straight to the cave. I looked at one or the other picture that I passed by. Finally, I had arrived at the most beautiful and most important thing for me. The picture with Sora, me and Papus. I bent down to the picture and gently stroked it. As gently as if it could break. When I heard footsteps behind me, I got up and turned around. It was Sora who looked at me and smiled. I returned his smile and my heart became very warm. Sora came up to me and hugged me. It surprised me a little, but I didn't mind either. As if by myself I put my hands on his neck. As he gently stroked my cheek, my heart beat faster and my legs felt like jelly.His touch always triggered a real firework of emotions in me. I looked into Sora's beautiful eyes again and forgot everything else around us. Then he pressed me gently against the wall of the cave behind me. My heart was pounding wildly and felt like it was about to jump out of my chest. Sora came closer to my face until I felt his pleasantly warm breath on my skin. Feeling him so close to me was a wonderful feeling and I lowered my eyelids slightly.
"I love you, Kairi ..." he whispered so softly, as if something might burst if he spoke too loudly.
"I love you too, Sora ..." I replied very quietly. Then he came even closer to my face. The next thing I felt his soft, warm lips touch mine. I closed my eyes. That was my first kiss. And I enjoyed it in every way.

I love you, Sora!
Let's hope fate never separates us!

The ending seems a bit sappy to me, but I'll leave it as it is anyway! One or the other may not like it, but I've been waiting to get rid of these words.
Besides, I couldn't bring myself to break the friendship between Sora, Kairi and Riku. In real life they would certainly be at odds. But in this case it should be a happy ending - a broken friendship is not a real happy ending.
I hope that you will check my fanfic folder every now and then. Who knows, maybe a new idea will come into my head soon and I would be really happy to see you again as readers.
(Even if I've hardly gotten anything lately>. <But I would still be happy ^^)
