Vampir-Story
vampires for everything that had been his job. However, I didn't think about it any further, but started to get everything Tom needed as quickly as possible. The weeks flew by and there was still no news from any of the spies or from the whole group. Many of the previously hysterical vampires almost no longer believed in an attack and so the morale of the fighters continued to decline. I decided to visit Cyron and so we met shortly after daybreak in the castle. There were no windows or anything like that through which the sunlight could have fallen and so this was the perfect place to be able to talk undisturbed. When Cyron entered I listened once more in the corridor to see if we were really alone, then I began to speak: "The others no longer believe in an attack, if they are now inattentive and the preparations are broken off, everything was in vain! "
"I know. We need to find out how many werewolves are around right now, but how are we supposed to do that? All the spies have been gone for months!"
"I don't know, I've been wondering that the whole time, I thought you might have an idea ... I would go, but I can't get out of here."We were both silent for a while when I suddenly heard hectic footsteps in the corridor in front of us. I opened the door quietly and looked out, some of Drake's most loyal servants were just disappearing through a door. I turned to Cyron. "What are they doing here at this time?" I asked him in a whisper. Cyron just unsuspectingly shrugged. I ran as quietly as possible to the door they had disappeared through and Cyron followed me in quiet protest. I put my head against the heavy wooden door to better hear what was being said on the other side. I was only able to pick up fragments of words, however. "What are they doing in there?" Cyron wanted to know in a whisper. I just unsuspectingly shrugged my shoulders. Suddenly Cyron pulled me aside, just in time for the wooden door to open and the vampires to come out. Cyron and I stood close to the wall behind the door, I was sure they would notice us, but they were too busy to pay attention to our quiet breath.Even when one of them shot the door, they didn't notice us. We waited for a few more minutes, still with the fear of being discovered, but after a while they left the room without noticing us. Cyron exhaled audibly and I also let out a sigh of relief. "What's this all about ?!" Cyron asked me sullenly "I know you have no problem messing with Drake, but I wasn't really about to!"
I mumbled an apology in his direction and stepped out the door, I was just putting my hand on the door handle when Cyron grabbed me from behind. "Do you still want to go in there ?! What if they still catch us? What do you think you'll find in there anyway? Why do you distrust Drake so much?"
"Please Cyron, I just want to take a look!" I begged by putting on my dachshund look. "I don't know why either, but I just don't trust him!"
"All right, but only briefly."He agreed.
I opened the door quietly, glanced left and right, and found that we were really alone. I entered the room and looked around. There were some blood-filled barrels standing around, as well as a coffin and some weapons. "You see? Your distrust is completely in vain, there is nothing unusual here. I had to agree with Cyron for better or worse, this time I had clearly exaggerated my distrust of Drake." Come on before someone catches us. We have no business in this part of the building. "I hurried to Cyron who had already left the room. We rummaged through a few rooms until we had found a suitable place to sleep. Cyron apparently had no problem falling asleep, but I was wondering what the others were doing in the remote room during the day It had to be important to them that it remained undetected, otherwise they wouldn't do it during the day ...The next night the training continued as normal, as did the following nights and the interest of the other vampires in the upcoming fight against the werewolves decreased noticeably. Night followed night and there was no news from the spies. After another week, Cyron, Tom and I sat down to discuss what to do next. We all agreed that someone had to look for the missing spies, but each of us had jobs to do here, and we couldn't hope for any help from Drake. Tom offered himself for the job, but I might be reluctant to send the old man straight into the clutches of the werewolves. I was ready to go, but both Tom and Cyron thought I was essential for training the soldiers. After some back and forth, Cyron finally insisted on leaving, he had a friend here who was willing to take over training the wolves for a while.I tried to talk him out of the idea, but my persuasion fell on deaf ears. I knew myself that it was next to impossible to find a reliable warrior here who was ready to look for the missing, but I was afraid for Cyron. I didn't want to have to worry about two lives every day and every night. I wanted to believe that Edward was still alive, but every night I found it harder and the less I wanted to lose Cyron. But he wouldn't let himself be talked out of it and all of my pleading not to leave seemed to encourage him. He wanted to leave the next evening and had already prepared everything for his departure. The next evening I hardly had time to say goodbye to him. Tom gave him a new sword, undoubtedly more carefully worked than the other swords then Cyron was already gone.
The next few nights it was difficult for me to concentrate on my duties in the clan, because the concern for Edward, which I had held back for so many weeks, was now more powerful than ever, with Cyron also gone.I could tell from the pitying looks that Tom gave me that he knew how I felt, but even if he tried to get my mind off things, he never quite succeeded. I went to one of the watchtowers as often as possible to notice it immediately in case Edward or Cyron should come back and every time someone came through the cave to the clan, I thought at first it was one of the two, but it should still be Weeks passed before I got word from you ...
