A teddy bear
A teddy bear
A boy sat on a roof and watched a girl and a boy under him. The two were involved in a heated argument.
What are they arguing about again? Don't you have anything better to do?
He just didn't get it. How could you always be at ease?
Has Temari been hiding Kankuro's make-up again? Or did he paint her fan? Or are they just arguing about who has to cook tonight?
Well, actually he couldn't care less ...
But his greatest wish now was to find people he loved and who at least accepted him. And that meant he had to trust his siblings and, above all, take care of them. And that's exactly why he had to ...
The boy jumped off the roof and approached his siblings. The two did not notice him.
"Hey, what's going on?"
Temari and Kankuro winced in sync and spun around.
"Oh ... h ... hello Gaara! What m ... are you doing here?""I just wanted to know why you guys are arguing again ..."
The reaction of his siblings didn't baffle him at all. The two looked at each other and suddenly looked nervous.
"Um ... yes ... well ... Gaara ... uh ..." Temari tried to answer.
Gaara knew this gibberish all too well. That sort of thing almost always came up to his questions. Even though he'd been much nicer to his siblings lately ...
He couldn't keep the sadness out of his voice completely when he said, "It's okay. I didn't ask anything."
He didn't look at Temari and Kankuro and jumped off over the rooftops.
And he had thought that the relationship with his siblings had improved ...
Kankuros "Tell me, Temari, do you mean he noticed something?" he no longer heard.
The next morning he went home for breakfast late. His eyes fell on the calendar.
It was January 19th.
He ignored his sadness, well, at least he tried ...He scolded himself. Was he really hoping there would be a birthday party at home? He was still so stupid ... when would he finally learn?
Gaara went into the kitchen, took a mug of yogurt from the refrigerator and sat at the empty kitchen table.
Temari and Kankuro hadn't even waited for him to congratulate him ...
He felt a stab in his heart. As so often lately since he opened up again to others.
He started to eat.
Suddenly he heard from the hall: "Quick Temari! He's definitely coming soon!"
Kankuro threw open the kitchen door, saw Gaara and turned pale.
"Oh ... uh ... hello ..."
Whomp, the door was closed again. Gaara looked at the door in amazement. What was that about?
Footsteps came towards the door, then murmurs. Finally the steps retreated and there was silence.
Gaara cleared up the empty mug and spoon and left the kitchen in the direction of the living room. Maybe he found a nice book ...He opened the door to the living room.
Three voices rang out to him:
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!"
Gaara opened his mouth.
Temari, Kankuro and Baki under a garland. Temari was holding a package.
He was speechless. His siblings and even his sensei had actually congratulated him on his birthday! And that wasn't a dream!
"D ... d ... thank you ..."
Temari held the package out to him.
"Here, open up!"
Gaara took the present with trembling hands and carefully removed the wrapping paper. A teddy bear appeared.
A teddy bear? He looked up in amazement.
Kankuro grinned. "Your age is pretty damaged ... we hope the new teddy will survive your treatment longer ..."
Gaara just suppressed his tears. He went to Kankuro and hugged him carefully. His brother froze.
But then Gaara noticed how Kankuro put his arms around him just as carefully.
"Thank you.", Gaara mumbled touched.
