Chapter: Arrivals...

It was the middle of August and a very hot day. A girl around 16 years of age was lying on a hammock in the garden and enjoying the sun's rays. The garden was very big. Just like the house the girl lived in. She moved out of home six months ago. But this had nothing to do with her parents. She moved in with a friend. This friend had not had an easy life and she wanted to help her. Because the two girls had been friends since childhood.

In the house, this friend spotted her roommate in the garden and went outside to join her. "Lesley tell me ... wouldn't you like to go to the pool?" she asked. "You know ... well not really. I'm sorry Katharina. Besides, what speaks against our pool here in the garden? It's just as good as the one in the outdoor pool, isn't it?" asked Lesley. "Yes but ... there are no people here!" There she recognized the post bus and the postman who was filling the mailbox. Katharina sighed and went out to get all the mail after the postman was gone. When she went back she suddenly saw two letters lying in front of the front door where she was sure that they weren't there at the beginning. She bent down and picked up the two letters. They were addressed to the girls Lesley Carter and Katharina Renamori who lived in this house. Katharina went back into the house, put down the other letters, took the two letters and went out to see Lesley.In the meantime she took a closer look at the two letters and suddenly saw that they were from Hogwarts. Suddenly her whole face was beaming. Since she and Lesley came from a large wizarding family with a very large and traditional history, she had been hoping for this letter for a long time. And she was sure that Lesley had been waiting for this letter for a long time. So she went to her now quickly. "Lesley the mail was just there and when I went back into the house I found it." she said cheerfully, holding the letters up to Lesley's face. "But ... they're from Hogwarts." she said a little incredulously. "Yes exactly." said Katharina. Lesley tried to sit up as quickly as possible and took the letter that was addressed to her. They both opened it and got shining eyes. "Katharina that means we're going to Hogwarts from September." said Lesley. "Yes I know." said Katharina. The two girls were very happy about it and Lesley went with Katharina to her family to tell them. On the same evening there was a party for the two of them. The rest of the vacation was spent preparing for their new school and shopping for everything they needed.

Then the day came when they would come to their new school. But this day didn't start well. "Lesley wake up. Come on! Wake up." Katharina tried to wake up her friend. "What is it?" she asked, still rather tired. "We overslept. It's already 8 o'clock! And the train leaves at 9!" said Katharina nervously, trying to wake her friend up. "It's been 40 minutes before we're in London and today is shitty weather." when Lesley heard her friend's words she woke up suddenly. "What? Oh shit! Didn't the alarm go off?" Lesley asked excitedly, jumping out of bed. "Apparently not." said Katharina and disappeared into her room to finish packing the suitcases.After 15 minutes, the two were finally finished and immediately set off for London. "Oh man ... this is going to be extremely close," said Lesley. “Yes it will.” After 40 minutes, both were finally at the train station in London. But this was huge. Both girls were running disoriented through the train station when Lesley suddenly bumped into someone. "Ouch ... hey watch out." she said a little annoyed. "Sorry" smiled the girl. She held out her hand to Lesley and she took it. "It's okay. I could have looked too," she smiled. "Oh yeah ... I'm Lesley Carter. After a while on the train, they were already there. Meanwhile the mood had relaxed a lot and Sorana and Katharina had also become more talkative. Meanwhile the 4 got along pretty well. When they got off the train they were amazed at how many students there were. In a small group they went to carriages. But when they got there, all 4 were astonished and puzzled by what the carriage was being pulled through. "I mean it can't drive on its own, can it?" said Lesley. They got along very well from the start. When they arrived at school, they were suddenly just the only students and were standing in the large entrance hall below. "Wow, the school is even more fantastic than I imagined." said Katharina. "Right." said Lesley. "Ladies. Nice that you are here." said a woman's voice. McGonagall stood next to a chair and picked up a hat. "That is the sorting hat." said Nakimi. McGonagall took out a list and took a breath. "Sorana Lithum." was the first name McGonagall called up.
