> <~ Thoughts of Yozora
~~~~~~
A peaceful morning in a small Japanese town far from the big capital, Kyoto.
But not everything was quiet, the station was full of people walking around.
That morning Mafuyu and Yozora hurried after their father.
"Papa! Where are we going?" Asked Yozora, the older one.
Mafuyu, three years younger than Yozora, ran after her sister and looked curiously at the stands.
Yozora and Mafuyu come from a wealthy fishing family.
They were known for their shrimp sushi and crab soup, the family also ran shrimp fishing
also a small restaurant.
There they offer all the delicacies of seafood and sushi.
But the family was on the verge of bankruptcy, but the sisters didn't find out until later.
The three arrived at the train station.
"Wait here," ordered the father and he left.
"What does he want to do?", Mafuyu asked excitedly, "Maybe he finally wants to get together with us
go out and have fun! "
"Yes ... That would be great!", Yozora admitted smiling, because father had very little time because of the trade and
work.
Later the father came back with a man and he had a rather large, full sack in his hand.
He pointed to the nurses and ran to the exit.
"Father!", Mafuyu shouted in amazement, "Why are you running away? Don't forget us!"
Yozora tried to calm her little sister down.
"Your dear father has just sold you to me," explained the man who just came with father.
> Sold ?! <thought Yozora, startled.
"Father would never do that!" Yelled Yozora, she didn't believe this man.
A misunderstanding! It was definitely untrue !!Wouldn't father never sell his own children ?!
The man grabbed both girls by the arm and dragged them onto a train that was already full of travelers.
"No !! Father! Father !!", Mafuyu cried desperately.
"Stop it !! Hil-" Yozora's scream stifled as the man put his hand around her mouth.
They found an empty cabin and the man threw them both on the seats.
“It's true,” he began calmly, “Your father sold you to make money. Your family is
just before bankruptcy "
So is it true? Father sacrificed and sold his own children for money ?!
'Mother ... was that why you cried like that last night? Did you know? Why don't you have father
stopped? Yozora thought bitterly.
The train jerked and then pulled out of the small station.
Mafuyu knocked on the window one last time and looked deeply sad and desperate at the forever
shrinking city.
"What are you doing with us now?" Yozora asked timidly and fearfully.
The man seemed to be considering.
> He looks really tired ... completely exhausted! He's really a young man and he does that
Shops! <
"I'm going to send the younger one to a geisha school - or better said - sell it on. You, them
I will sell older ones to a samurai dojo, you have a calm character ... ", he answered honestly.
> We are separated ?! Yozora thought, horrified.
Night fell and they were still driving ... Mafuyu and the man fell asleep.
Both slept soundly.
Only Yozora was awake and looking at the sky.
He was in a beautiful dark blue with shining stars, the almost round moon shone lonely over the
empty landscape.
There were rice fields and further back there was a village, near a small forest.
Yozora got up and gently shook Mafuyu.
Sleepy woke up, "What is Onee-chan?", She mumbled softly.Yozora gave her a chain, "Take."
"What is that?" Mafuyu asked astonished and picked it up.
“It's a talisman. Mom gave it to me a few months ago. We'll use it again and again
find and recognize! Even if there are 1000 meters between us! Keep it well, do not lose it and give it
not gone! I will recognize you with it! "
She picked up a chain that looks like hers, a purple wing made of stone.
"You are ... beautiful," Mafuyu admitted, putting on her wing chain.
"Mafuyu, I swear to you, when I grow up, I'll look for you! Hold on! Wait for me!
I will get you! Always believe in it! This chain will lead me to you! "Yozora hugged hers
little sister.
"I'm scared, Onee-san!" Mafuyu whispered, trembling.
Yozora nodded, "Yes ... Me too, Fuyu ... Me too!"
The next morning the train stopped in a large city.
"Welcome! Welcome to Kyoto !!", the conductor called through the wagons.
> Kyoto! The capital! <
Together they got a Ritschka and drove to the full, overcrowded city.
"So many people ..." Mafuyu managed to get out.
"Yes ... a big city," said Yozora simply.
She had heard of the capital, but it was so big! Yozora would never have imagined it to be so big!
The Ritschka stopped in front of a house.
The man ordered Yozora to remain seated and dragged Mafuyu out of the car.
He knocked on the door, still holding Mafuyu's arm.
"Yes?", It sounded from the inside, a slender servant opened the door.
"Please get the Okaa-san," the man asked and waited patiently.
The woman bowed and disappeared behind a second separating door.
After a short time an old lady appeared in an expensive kimono.
"Ah! It's you! What kind of beautiful girl do you have with you this time?" She asked immediately when she met the man
recognized.
He pushed Mafuyu forward and nodded.
The old, wise geisha looked at Mafuyu's hair and eyes.Then the old woman nodded sympathetically and pulled Mafuyu into the house.
"Onee-chan! Yozora !! No!", Mafuyu cried and tried desperately from the firm grip of the
Woman solve.
"Mafuyu! Fuyu !! Wait for me! I'm coming! I promise !!", Yozora called while the Ritschka with her
and drove away from the stranger.
> Mafuyu! Hold on! I'll come for you !! <
They drove through narrow alleys and crowded evening streets, the driver gasped, but kept walking.
You could hear barkers and sellers negotiating prices and buyers feasting.
Colorful lights hung over the roofs and there were many hungry people at food stalls.
Lots of people were out on the crowded streets, merchants, geishas ... So many!
> So many people ... so many lights !! What a mess! <
Somewhat on the outskirts of town, the Ritschka stopped and the driver took a breather.
"Here we are," said the man, pulling Yozora with him.
"Your new home will be here!" It didn't sound encouraging at all!
Yozora looked at the building doubtfully, she found it not exactly inviting.
It was surrounded by a bamboo forest and it was a long way to the house, there was one too
Rock garden that you could already see from the gate.
- In short - it was like in a temple!
There should be a samurai dojo here ?!
A man opened the door, his long hair was tied up and hanging from his waist
Sword, and he was wearing an airy kimono.
"A girl?", The man asked sullenly, "You have already brought better things," said the samurai only
and shrugged in boredom.
My '' patron '' only replied: "She is a girl, but has a very calm character. She is learning
fast and is intelligent. You can tell. "
The samurai nodded and pulled Yozora into the house, then nodded to the man. "You will the usual way
paid! "then he closed the door.
It was an old house, the walls were mostly made of extremely fine paper."Your name and age?" The man asked tonelessly.
"Tsuyu Yozora. I'm 15 years old," she replied obediently.
The samurai pushed the girl in front of him and opened a door.
"Hey! Takeru, take care of the new one!" He called softly and pushed Yozora into the dark room.
The door closed immediately behind Yozora and she stood in the dark room, she hardly saw anything.
"You are a girl?" Came an incredulous male voice from behind her.
It was the voice of a very young man who might have just grown up.
"Come on. I won't hurt you! Call me Takeru!" Said the young man.
Yozora took a few steps forward and her eyes slowly got used to the darkness.
Apparently only Takeru and she were in this room.
"Why were you sent here as a girl?" Takeru asked curiously.
Yozora didn't know anything, she didn't know.
Little did she realize that her family was about to go bankrupt.
She hadn't noticed that father wanted to sell her and she hadn't known that she was with Mafuyu
should be separated.
Yozora had never felt so pathetic in her life.
> What a nut I am! she thought desperately.
And for the first time since leaving her small hometown, she cried.
Yozora cried and cried, she couldn't stop as hard as she tried.
This startled Takeru and he crawled up to her, carefully taking her in his strong arms and
comforted her as best he could.
"Everything is fine! Psst ..!", He whispered to her soothingly.
Yozora's tears continued to flow long before she fell asleep from exhaustion and excitement in his arms.
The next day, Yozora was alone in the room.
What happened?
It seemed to her that weeks had passed since her own father sold her.
Sleepily, Yozora rubbed her eyes and looked around the room curiously.
It was long morning and the sun was shining brightly through the thin paper walls.The room was furnished quite simply: two futons (summer beds, a small table and a simple one
Lamp.
> Why didn't you light the lamp with gestures? <
Suddenly the door opened and the samurai who brought it came in, panting.
"You!", He shouted annoyed, "I'm the Sensei, that's how you will address me!"
He threw a ragged bundle of clothes in front of Yozora.
"You will wear this in the dojo. We will have no indulgence just because you are a girl!
You are treated like everyone else
