Water Seven
Kaku
Chapter 7: Drabbles - Kaku
Paulie had to work hard not to laugh out loud when he looked at Kaku and Usopp up close and took a closer look at their two noses.
Meanwhile, Luffy seemed to be having a lot of trouble to distinguish the two from each other. Nami preferred to keep quiet and Usopp was busy proving Luffy that he was him.
"Mine is square and his is round! The difference is clear," said Kaku indignantly and clearly, knowing full well what thoughts went through Paulie's head. He looked at it with narrowed eyes. He could be extremely meticulous in that regard.

During his training, Kaku had learned how to deceive people successfully, how to make them believe that they were someone they weren't and how to obey an order only, even if it ran counter to one's own views. He had also learned how to injure, torture and even kill people. He did not regret having learned many of these things afterwards, as they had brought him both good and bad experiences in life.
But no one had ever taught him in his training how to live with the consequences of his actions if they violated every conceivable principle of life.

Kaku had known in advance that it was a bad idea to eat this strange fruit. Not that he objected to not being able to swim anymore - that was really the slightest problem for him at the moment - but the fact that Jabura described a giraffe as an extremely tasty delicacy and bared his teeth when he got in just changed this, but made the agent doubt his sanity.
But Kaku knew full well that Jabura had only been looking for an excuse to punish him for having become stronger than him after all these years.Item 06: delicacy

It took Kaku some time to get used to the new powers he had received from the devil fruit. It took him much longer before he could move correctly and freely in the giraffe shape - his suit only made this action even more difficult, as it was noticeably narrowing due to its growing size. But the agent had most of the problems when he tried to transform himself back after bending into a small square as a giraffe.
The other agents watched him with amusement. Somehow Kaku would get out of there alone without her help. It took him four attempts.

It was just an assignment, Kaku told himself, nothing more and nothing less. Life on Water Seven was increasingly becoming a torture for him. The young agent felt the desire more and more often to be able to live on this island forever and simply to leave the CP9.
The feeling he got every time he jumped over the cliffs of the city and people waved to him and greeted him cheerfully was exhilarating. Until finally the children came to him and called Kaku the hero of their city who watched over them in the air.
He literally stayed away from it.
