Where am I?

Episode 2: Where am I?

Yoshta left his birthplace to meet the nasty tyrant Chico
to oppose. Shortly after leaving Sengins, the sword spoke up for the first time in a long time <do you think it was right to just go off like that. Your parents are sure to make huge reproaches! > Yoshta left the question uncommented at first, the first stop on the way to Salotte, the city in which Chicos ruled, was the small farming village of Jugen. But before he could achieve this, he had to cross the mysterious forest that borders the Stansee. In this forest there are supposed to be many dark figures such as Witches, dwarves and dragons inhabit it, which is why no one has crossed it for many months. Yoshta had been on the road for four and a half hours now when the sword suddenly spoke up. <Could you be lost, Yoshta>. Yoshta didn't dare to answer, so he reluctantly nodded his head. <Oh my goodness, how did that happen? We have a map of the Kanto region in our backpack>. But when the sword looked back, it looked in vain for the backpack. <Where did you get the backpack? Asked the sword. Yoshta replied meekly: <I accidentally left it on one of the rocks by the waterfall at the picnic an hour ago>. To make matters worse, the two of them gradually ran towards a junction without knowing in the least which of the two paths would bring them to Jugen. After they had decided on the right path after an intensive discussion, they continued on their way. In the meantime the sun had already disappeared behind the mountains and it was gradually getting pitch black. The sword, which had always been a little afraid of the dark, began to fantasize. <Hey Yoshta, there is a huge monster sitting back there> he yelled, but as it turned out, this "monster" was just an ordinary owl. It wasn't long before the sword saw an old but pretty wooden house at the end of the path.<You Yoshta, am I wrong, or is there actually an old man standing in front of the wooden house> asked the sword, Yoshta. <You will be fantasizing again> Yoshta replied, almost a little maliciously. But this time the sword was even right, because the closer they got, the more clearly they could see a man with a hat and a glass ball in his hand. <Welcome to my forest> the old man called out to Yoshta <you are probably the boy with the speaking sword who got lost here. I am a wizard and I saw you coming with the help of my crystal ball. Come to my house and make yourself comfortable>. The old man led Yoshta into his house and immediately began to tell: <My name is Zaubus and I have lived here in this forest and in this house for fifty years and so I slowly learned how to survive here. I know the forest like the back of my hand by now. I have to say you are brave, I haven't seen very many of your kind here in the forest, because you should know that in this forest a fearsome dragon is up to mischief and kills one animal after another. If I had the strength to destroy him I would have done so long ago, but unfortunately I only master defensive spells, so I am unable to defeat him. As far as I know, it is also raging in the neighboring village of Jugen. The residents there are totally scared and I think most of them have already moved out. I would suggest you stay here and tomorrow I'll get you out of the woods safely>. After dinner, Zaubus took Yoshta to the guest room. The bed was already pretty broken and there were threads of thread hanging down from the ceiling. You'd think the room hadn't been cleaned for ten years. Yoshta was in bed and was worried about his family: <Hopefully nothing happened to my family and everyone is still up. I hope I won't be gone too long, because my father needs me on the wine plantation, otherwise the family won't get enough money to pay the rent.I've already lost my only memento, my backpack. I miss my family and the rest of the people in our village. > Yoshta closed her eyes and fell asleep.
