Fanfic: The Path
out laughing, each with full bags.
"I don't understand Leylan. Someone like you, who has so much money in their account, is so stingy! How does it work?" Asked Mariah and climbed the stairs a little heavily. Leylan supported her lightly on the arm and replied: "Profiblader, this career will end at the latest at 32. At least this is the age at which you should stop if you don't want to retire at 50 due to a completely exhausted body - but you know Which I'm talking about. In any case, I prefer to save now so that I can have a good life later, who knows, maybe I won't get a job after blading. "
"That's right again - to be honest: I happily spend Ray's money at all times, aaaber, I told him that from the start and he agreed. For that he studies architecture diligently. Let's hope it turns out well." she giggled, and let Leylan help her through the unlocked front door.
As soon as they closed the door behind them, the first helper hurried to meet them.Max grinned over both ears and shouted from afar: "Can you imagine what a nice day I had? No one at home, except Kai, but that's like being alone, and I could do whatever I wanted. You two don't want to go shopping more often? "Grinning, he sauntered over, but Mariah immediately put a damper on him:" I hope you left the house, Max Tate. Just continue with these 'throw out' remarks, I can tell you want to go hungry. "
With mock severity, Mariah called the blonde half-Japanese to repentance.
"Oh no, just don't go hungry! I can't live without your excellent food! I'll take everything back, girls. And as a punishment I'll carry your bags up, yes?"
The two grinned in unison and Max, who was always happy, whistled, carried the well-filled bags up the stairs. Mariah padded into the kitchen and met a busy fiddling Ray. "Mariah!" He exclaimed and hurried to meet his fiancée.
Meanwhile, Leylan kicked her shoes in the corner and opened the door to the living room, where she sank wearily on an armchair. It was only when she turned her gaze from her aching feet and looked up that she noticed Eve and Tala, who were sitting side by side on the large sofa, looking at her.
"Oh hi.", Leylan greeted, a little embarrassed by the delay. Being the only one in a room with a couple in love was more than uncomfortable for her, even more because it was Eve and Tala. Tala smiled at her, but Eve's facial expression looked more like ´Go away- or- I- kill- you´, not very good conditions to relax after a shopping marathon. With an apologetic smile at the astonished Tala, Leylan got up and withdrew from the living room up the stairs. The bags that Max had previously carried up stood neatly next to her, still empty, closet.
"I should give it away," thought the black-haired young woman, sighed deeply and began to distribute the contents of the bags on the hangers provided.Leylan knew that her suitcase had been left unpacked so as not to have to pack it again. If it hadn't worked out to live under one roof with the Bladebreakers - their packed suitcase would have been ready to leave.
> It's typical again, isn't it? But this time there is no reason to leave ... yes, this time I really made it. <
And with a satisfied smile, she also packed the clothes out of her suitcase, with great care in the spacious closet.
The following days passed quietly in the Bladebreakers' house, even Tyson seemed a little busy. Tala had managed to put Tyson's overzealous fan club in its place and more or less familiarized him with the profession of teacher, even if even Tala reached his limit of patience. In order to be as far away from the ´groupies´ as possible, Tyson took lessons in the primary school wing of the facility, explained the basics of Beyblade and was allowed to supervise the training sessions of "his" class. Contrary to all expectations, the blue-haired whirlwind seemed to have taken pleasure in this type of occupation and was eagerly involved. Since Max still preferred to enjoy his free time to the fullest and only take part in local tournaments, Leylan spent most of his time with him. She was less interested in her team's project, the ´Bladebreakers Association Group´, and was still looking in vain for a way for her future.
Since Mariah was now also dedicated to the project and often spent the whole day there, together with Hilary she was responsible for the organization / management of the school and also took care of the little ones.
Since her mother's instincts suddenly awoke in the face of the impending birth and she was just sparkling with zest for action, it seemed, especially since the BAG was partly her idea, to have found the best possible occupation. So Leylan felt extremely stupid, after all, she, Max and Kai were the only ones who had nothing going on besides their Beyblade career. After training, Tala and Tyson followed Hilary and Mariah to the BAG, Eve always drove to the office after breakfast. So only the three remained in the house, which was increasingly getting on the nerves of Leylan and often made her grumpy.
But at least the training went better now, even if Leylan's endurance was still not the best when it came to jogging. Kai really did an excellent job as a coach, saw the smallest mistake and had special training sessions for each of the team members. The longed-for match against Tyson, however, has remained with Leylan until now ...

Friday lunchtime and Leylan and Max were lounging together on the sofa, their legs spread across the low table on their laps, each with a bowl of popcorn, while a popular tabloid was on TV.
"I'm surprised that nothing comes over us today. Especially both of us.", Said Max and threw another load of popcorn into his mouth. With his mouth full, Leylan replied: "They don't know anything more precise anyway, so they wait until the next press conference. Believe me, the next day they will attack us like vultures and take apart the information they have obtained word for word."
The blond Blader nodded in agreement, already thinking about the upcoming event where he had to answer questions. Suddenly he fueled him with something completely different and turned to Leylan: "Tell me, do you actually know what Kai has made up with this fashion geek? I'm sure we'll see Mr. Frosti soon in glossy magazines, lightly dressed and with a wicked look." the thought of it, he broke out into a baseless giggle.
´No, because he doesn´t talk to me anymore´ she would have liked to answer Max, but she decided to give an honest, unsuspecting shrug, which was, to her relief, off the table. She paid only half an ear to the chatter of the stylishly styled woman on the screen, with thoughts already back to the silent half-Russian. She just couldn't think of a valid reason for his sudden change in mood.
Max's voice suddenly pulled her out of her thoughts: "Hey Leylan, I think I'll visit the boss. He hasn't shown up here for weeks and I'm not at all sure whether he even knows about the upcoming conference. Well , see you later."
"Mmmh, see you later. Give him my regards.", She replied distractedly and raised her hand in parting. Hanging out alone in the living room wasn't exactly what she thought about fun. With disgruntled, perplexed thoughts and, to make matters worse, an almost empty bowl of popcorn, the freedom-loving Bladerin stared at the TV screen and tried hard to discover an unevenness in the perfectly made-up face of the presenter - but with little success.
> Not even that is allowed anymore. <
Annoyed, she switched the young woman's talk, which had reached zero quality, to mute and into this sudden silence, the unmistakable tones of a grand piano penetrated.
She raised her head in amazement and listened: wonderful, melodic sounds, full and heavy, reached her ear and evoked deeply hidden memories - she knew this melody and the corresponding text.
As if magically drawn, she got up, put the bowl down gently and followed the sounds, the source of which, to her greatest astonishment, seemed to be behind a door that was slightly open at the end of the corridor. Amazed, she stepped to the door, never noticed before, and pushed it lightly - immediately the broad front swung open and revealed the room behind it.
She had expected it - who else was in the house besides her and could also elicit such melodic sounds from the piano?Kai sat with his eyes closed and his face completely relaxed in front of a black, antique grand piano and let his fingers slide gently over its keys. The grand piano stood in the middle of the room and filled it almost completely. Narrow windows that reached down to the floor were let into the walls, everything was flooded with light and automatically evoked a strange satisfaction. Since the room was shaped like a semicircle, the light fell diagonally through the window and then refracted on the dark wooden floorboards. Only the center, where the wing was, was not completely reached by the light, the deep black was covered in shadows.
Kai was completely at one with the music, he didn't notice Leylan even when she quietly closed the door behind her and took a step towards the piano.
She knew this song, note by note, note by note, and inside her the words that went with it took shape, they rose like smoke and formed a familiar structure, and without her doing anything they emerged from her, wanted to get along with the melancholy-sounding melody. Leylan listened attentively to every rising note, waited for the one where the melody and the word were supposed to combine, and then it came up her throat.
[i]"You walked with me footprints in the sand."
Melodically her voice interwoven with the sounds of the grand piano, which stopped briefly when Kai jerked his head up, becoming aware of her presence. A quick look from unfathomable eyes, hidden behind a mask, his head bowed again to his talented hands, he continued the song seamlessly. She interpreted his silence as a mute
