Playing with love

A game,
Love,
A woman,
and a man.
It didn’t need more.
The game just started
it was not announced.
Before you knew it
Were they caught in the game
in the game of love.

She woke up early. There were deep shadows under her eyes, her skin was pale, her eyes dull. She, a young woman, got up. She looked at herself in the mirror and, as so often, wondered why she had played. Yes, she had played, she had played with love and now she had lost.
She had met him back then at the bus stop. She waited. "Hello, I'm Mick." He had simply said and shook hands with her. She looked confused and he laughed. She would never forget that wonderful laugh. The bus had come and they got on. “I'm Aiko.” The young woman had introduced herself. He had smiled. "That's a nice name. Where does it come from?" he had asked and a conversation had already developed. When he got out he gave her his number.
She had smiled the entire ride. She wanted to call him, but totally forgot. He had shown up on her doorstep. "How did you find me?" she had asked and looked at him skeptically. “The bus driver was very nice,” he replied, leaned down and kissed the black-haired one. She was so perplexed that she just stared at him with wide eyes. He laughed and walked past her into the house. She ran after him laughing. That evening they had ended up in bed together for the first time. They often met at his place too. She loved these evenings and enjoyed being pampered.
One day, the whole thing was going on for maybe 2 months, he was standing on her doorstep. He had a bouquet of flowers in his hand and confessed his love to her. The young woman was overwhelmed. Sure she might love him?No, she didn't love it. Still, she smiled and said that she would feel something too. The young man was delighted. His brown eyes glowed when he kissed her. Aiko wasn't feeling bad. She hadn't lied. She wanted fun and she got it.
In retrospect, she shouldn't have done that. So the relationship became more and more intense, but the black-haired lost interest in him. She turned to other men. It hurt Mick, but he believed in their mutual love. So she carried it on. She was having fun and when she got home he was spoiled for her. If he wanted anything from her, she waved her off and said she didn't have time. She continued, enjoying the feeling of being superior to him and began to take advantage of his love more and more. She let him clean and work for herself.
She wondered if she should marry him. Then she would always have this luxury. So she tried a little. Tried to treat him better, but she had hurt him too bad.
She had taken the game too far. Now it was he who left her. He sought consolation in other women and eventually found his great love. A perfect couple. She was still in contact with him today. She had played with fire and eventually it was extinguished, as was his love for her.
Today Aiko sits here alone in her apartment and thinks about the earlier times. If she hadn't played then, it could have turned out to be something. Because she loved him, his care, his punctuality, his character and his appearance. “Where there is love, there is also pain,” she whispered. She took one of her pills and went to work. It was all a torture, but it was her own fault and maybe, very maybe someone forgave her and she would still have a little luck.
