Equality?

Can I kill the one I love?
equality?

Good bad.

Both can end in the death of a person.
A wanted death.
Feelings are not brought into play, it's just their job. The jobs: like day and night - good and bad.
But doesn't everyone decide for themselves what is good and what is bad?

~ * ~

It was night Silence. The streets hadn't been lit for ages. The lamps of the individual lanterns simply no longer did their job, but they were not taken care of.
A deserted alley deserved no light at night, because nobody had lost anything on the streets at night anyway. At night only thieves drove their mischief - criminals. Rapist. Killer. People who weren't who to live.
However, the night could also show another face: tough business, in which it was a matter of survival. But who thought something like murder would happen? That a person could actually be killed when it was so quiet.

The lingering silence was broken by a loud noise - a bang. A sound distorted by pain and then silence again. The only thing that still indicated what had just happened was a lifeless body lying on the stony asphalt of the road, as well as the red shimmering blood, which was spreading around the lifeless body in a growing puddle.
A figure who was responsible for the death of the man regarded this with a cold look. For him, this person in front of him was nothing more than scum. Scrap that didn't deserve to live and that needed to be disposed of.
This was exactly what he was supposed to do, and he had carried it out successfully.
One would think that the people in their houses had woken up to the sound of the gunshot, but all the windows were still black like the night. There was no light to be seen anywhere.Only the full moon shone brightly down on them.
Black eyes rested on the person who had just been murdered - cold and indifferent. But only a second later they turned away and the figure walked with quiet, calming steps down the dark street - disappeared.

Not everything that appears calm and peaceful is also harmless at the same time!

The alarm clock roused a young woman from her good sleep. A low murmur and the one who had just awakened turned on her side, grabbed the alarm clock and switched it off with a precise movement. Silence filled the room, which gave her a moment to calmly wake up from her sleep.
After a tired yawn, the green eyes opened for the first time and looked around for a moment, confused, before they closed again.
Every morning the same. Every morning she was woken up by her alarm clock, had to get up and drive to work. And every morning she was confronted with the same subject that humanity had feared for centuries: death.
The young woman didn't know why she had become what she was. As a little girl she always wanted to be a princess and when she realized that this was not possible, she wanted to become a model, like every little girl. And she was a sweet girl who didn't have to worry about things like death because she had everything a little girl needed: a loving family and a normal life.
But a terrible turn in this orderly and normal life had made her what she was:

Haruno Sakura worked for the FBI. No wonder she was confronted with death every day, after all, it was her job. It was her job to track down the murderers of innocent people and to punish them. It was her job to bring the news of their dead child to desperate parents and it was her job to watch other people lose everything in their lives, even the latter. In itself it wasn't a nice job, the young woman knew that, but she just couldn't get away with the way people wanted to testify to power over other people by killing them. There was so much that was terrible in the world and she still believed that one person could do something on his own.

Sakura saw the bad in people, but in spite of everything every person had something good in them. The young woman was not interested in the fact that everyone had their own opinion about what was bad and what was good.
Some people thought they were bad, some thought they were good. The bad, for example, always thought they were good, and it was they who were supposed to be murdered. Prison was too harmless a punishment. But wasn't even the thought angry?

It took a while until Sakura had made up her mind and got up. A strong coffee was sure to get her going, after all, it worked every morning - as well as this morning.
With a little more vigor, she swung herself into the shower, got ready and looked for fresh clothes from her closet. For a moment she looked at herself contentedly in the large mirror that hung on the wall before a happy smile appeared on her face. She wasn't even sure why, but maybe it was the fact that the weather was nice outside and the sun was shining through the open windows into her small apartment. It was an apartment with large windows, perfect for her. And the fact that the birds were already chirping lifted their spirits a lot. Summer was always a beautiful season. It all seemed peaceful, as if there was nothing but good in the world.
Unfortunately, the little princess was suddenly torn from her dreams when she walked into her workplace an hour later.

"Sakura!", A loud and excited voice echoed down the corridor and the addressed turned to her colleague as she walked.Hyuuga Hinata. In Sakura's opinion, she was goodness personified. She was nice, courteous and helpful and at the same time her best friend.
"What's up, Hinata?" Questioningly, Sakura looked at the woman who was her age, who only gave a low sigh and held out a folder.
“A corpse was found!” As every day, the young woman received the same message and was not even surprised. It was their job - corpses. How repulsive that sounded. But Sakura was there to solve the crime. She would never kill anyone, unless her life depended on it.
People were so selfish. What would a person choose, could he choose between another person's life and his own? He would always choose his own life, that is what nature has inherited from us.
"Where?" Sakura sighed at the black-haired woman, who only returned her gaze pityingly before she thought for a moment.
"In Akasaka.", Hinata explained immediately and pointed to the folder, which was now in Sakura's possession. "All the data are listed there. It is an older man, in his mid-forties. He was shot. The forensics department is already at the scene, but so far they have not been able to make any traces. Even the victim was not visible. Nothing indicates violence that had taken place before death.
The residents were questioned, but nobody should have noticed anything. Even the shot was ignored. "
Akasaka was a pretty cheap neighborhood in Tokyo. It was not surprising that no one seemed to have noticed anything. The people there paid no attention to that. Or maybe they were used to violence, nobody knew it.
A shot was loud enough, but it wasn't so loud that it was noticed.
"I'm on my way.", Sakura said with a sigh and opened the folder before leafing through the documents. That would be another difficult case, the young woman already knew that much.

A few hours later, a small white car pulled up on a deserted street in Akasaka. Inanimate because not a single pedestrian could be seen on the street. The only thing that kept the street alive was the police cars, as well as forensics, police officers and the FBI people.
Sakura was put on the case, which is why she first got an overview of what was happening.
With quick steps she was with the others, overcame the security barrier and went to a colleague who had already analyzed the situation.
"How's it going?", Sakura asked and stepped up to a blond young man. He was 24 years old, so only two years older than herself. And yet he acted like a little boy now and then, but she liked his way, because it enabled her to do her job, which deals with death every day turned, also laugh once.
When it came to something serious like this, however, he too was in control: Uzumaki Naruto was his name.
"Well, how you take it. It didn't look good for him there, but he didn't notice much.", Naruto already explained and pointed to the lifeless body that was in the cordoned off area. Any item that could possibly contain a reference has already been given a number by the forensics department and the corpse has been framed with color.
"Yes, I heard he was shot?" Sakura turned back to his counterpart after a look at the dead man, who only nodded in agreement.
"Yes, but the remarkable thing about it is that this shot went right into his heart. The man was dead straight away.", Naruto explained and looked at the victim. Dried blood stuck to the floor, but it was still clearly visible. A few meters further on, a few splatters of blood on a house wall.
"Is there any indication of who might be the culprit?""No, absolutely nothing so far. No traces, nothing. Whoever that was, he knows how to cover up traces." Naruto nodded only confirming his own words and now went to the dead body, which he was eyed. With a moment's hesitation, Sakura followed him and looked down at the person. She didn't like the sight of dead people, even though they somehow looked like they were sleeping. It couldn't have been a nice death to be shot. Especially not on such a lonely street, simply overwhelmed by his killer.
"It must have happened sometime last night. He was just coming home when he was shot straight away." The blonde made a pitying noise before he turned away full of energy.
"There are some suspicions that the killer came from underground Tokyo. The shot was so perfect, there are no traces and no one noticed anything. It almost looks like a contract killer was at work."

Contract killer - Sakura hated that word. People who only lived to kill. Their job was to breathe life into other people. Why could a person be so cruel? Was it a feeling of power over another when you
