He didn't like that at all, because he knew that Hikari was way too good-natured that she wouldn't do all the work to relieve him. That is why he read the riot act to Matsumoto. Then he came back to his office and saw Hikari sitting on the sofa. She didn't even notice him and was completely absorbed in her work. Toushiro decided not to say a single word. He thought this moment was special. She was just as natural and just herself as he always liked her. But then Hikari noticed that Toushiro was standing in the doorway and looked up at him. A slight shimmer of red spread quickly on her face, because she knew that he had apparently been watching her. "How ... how long have you been standing there?" she wanted to know. On the way to her home, she stopped by the 4th division every day. Sometimes she met April, sometimes not. But this time, she met April. April and Hikari had a great time eating for two and talked and laughed about old times. A little later they got a visit from a few other Shinigami: Kira, Matsumoto and Renji were on their usual drinking sprees and discovered Hikari and April and sat down with them. After that the evening was funnier than before and they stayed in the restaurant late into the night.

Yoko sat in the same place throughout the sunset and enjoyed the sunshine. When the sun was gone, she got up and slowly made her way home. Today had been a good day for her as she once again successfully completed a mission. After the little talk with Usagi, she thought about it from time to time for the rest of the evening. It wasn't so nice for her to see Usagi getting more and more cynical. The others thought so too. But what should you do now? When Yoko was at home, she quickly took a shower and then immediately went to bed to catch up on her well-deserved sleep.

Usagi had been home a long time and sat in her living room the whole time. She kept glancing at the picture of her deceased brother Nobu and thought of Byakuya whom she hated at the moment. It wasn't fair in her eyes that her brother had to die for him! She didn't want to just accept it either and at some point she would show him what she could do. Then she went to bed and also tried to sleep in order to leave another day behind.
