Halli Hello dear readers or non-readers or whatever ^^
I am happy if you have found the way to my new FF <3

It's a short story again, just like "Abandoned". And there will certainly be a few more short stories.

But first about this one.
I hope you have a lot of fun reading my story and I would be happy if you tell me how you liked it.

See you

Colours. I saw wonderful colors. Those of the rainbow, from blue to green and red to yellow. I touched the lovely blue with my fingertip and immediately found myself on an island in the ocean. I sat down on the sand and looked around. Palm trees and magnificent flowers of all kinds were to be found on this island. Some coconuts were already on the floor, afterwards I would take one and enjoy it. I lay down and looked at the sun. It was such a beautiful day, the sky and the sea were so incredibly blue. It was like a dream, but it was reality, dreams weren't beautiful, they were gray and ugly. There were no more nice dreams, there were only nightmares. Unfortunately, I had them several times a day, they attacked me again and again and transported me to a sad, very unhappy family. What did these dreams mean to me? That I never wanted to end like this? Yes, probably. It had to be like that. Hopefully they would stop soon, I wanted to stay here forever.
I noticed someone stand next to me. It had to be my best friend. He was always with me. Always took care of me, made me laugh. He also sat down and gave me a bright smile.
>> Nice to have you back Elly. I missed you. <<
It was so nice to hear these words from him and I knew he meant them honestly.
>> Vince, I missed you too. <<
I smiled at him and his response was a gentle touch of his hand on my cheek. He looked deep into my eyes and I felt such a strange tingling sensation in my stomach. He had such beautiful brown eyes, so warm and kind. So honest
Suddenly he got up and pulled me up with him.
>> Come with me. I want to show you something. <<
He ran towards the forest and I followed him as fast as I could. It was a lot of fun to walk through the little jungle. Past so much joy of color. So many plants and animals too. Parrots of all colors flew past us. The flowers opened one by one. Vince suddenly stopped and bent down to a flower. He plucked the blossom. It was pink and had a white border on the sides. He stood in front of me and put it into my black hair.
>> Suits you very well, Elly. <<
I just grinned at him in response, but he understood. We got along blindly. It was like we'd known each other forever. It was maybe two years. But we had been very familiar with each other since our first meeting. It was as if he already knew everything about me and I about him.
Now he ran even further into the forest.
>> Where are you going, Vince? <<
>> Surprise. <<
He made it really exciting. What was he planning?
After a few minutes he stopped, looked around at me, and smiled. We stood in front of a huge tree house that stretched over several trees.
>> Wow. <<
That was all I got out. It was amazing, just amazing.
>> Do you like it? <<
>> Yes. It is great. Did you build this just for us? <<
>> For who else? There's nobody else here except us. Come on let's go up. <<
He let me go and I climbed up the rope ladder. Once at the top I looked around. It was really nicely decorated. A kind of sofa made of wood with large leaves for upholstery. Vince brought two coconut halves and handed me one.
>> Make yourself comfortable. <<
I sat on the sofa and sipped the coconut. There was a small table in front of us, decorated with a few flowers. He had also built shelves with a few books that we had collected in different countries. We traveled a lot over the rainbow. Pictures that I had drawn were also on the wall. Vince had drawn some of them as well, but he wasn't as artistically gifted, but rather musically. He could sing incredibly well.
>> There is a big bed next door, if you are tired you can make yourself comfortable. <<
>> Only if you sing something to me, Vince. <<
I got up and ran into the next room to stretch out on the large bed. Vince sat in a chair next to it.
>> I think I'll take a rest then, << I said.
I closed my eyes and Vince started to sing. He sang my favorite song, unfortunately it had no title. It came entirely from Vince's imagination and that made it all the more wonderful.
I slowly drifted off into a very calm and deep sleep.

>> Elly! Stand up! Food is ready! <<
I opened my eyes and found that I was no longer lying next to Vince, but in a room, a very colorless room. The gray covered me like a veil, took my breath away and let tears well up in my eyes.
Why was I here again now?
I didn't belong here, I knew that very well.
>> Are you coming !? <<
I sighed and got up. In my dreams I lived on the top floor and had to climb down a musty staircase every time someone called me. I was afraid that at some point they would not carry me and that I would suffer a serious fall. It was just a dream and I knew that nothing could happen to me, but still this fear did not let go of me.
I put my foot on the top step. It creaked terribly. I went on cautiously.>> Elly! The food's getting cold! Besides, we don't often eat together! <<
Why? Everyone in this house hated each other. Especially the woman who was supposed to be my mother and my supposed father. They only argued, but didn't want to part because of the children. They didn't understand that it only made it worse. The gray slowly turned to black. I missed the colors, I missed Vince.
Now I was sitting at the table, next to all the strangers. They didn't really pay any attention to me. They just ate, and that very quickly, everyone wanted to be ready as soon as possible to be able to leave.
Only one person glanced at me, my 'father'.
>> Elly, are you not feeling well? Go out again. <<
>> I am out very often. It's much nicer than here. Vince is always with me. <<
The strangers looked at each other. They were questioning looks, as if they were trying to deduce whether any of them knew what I was talking about. I knew they wouldn't understand. I got up even if I hadn't even eaten nearly half of it. I just dumped the food in the trash can. Nobody interested anyway. Through the fog that had settled on everything here, one could barely perceive what was being done.
I stomped up the stairs quickly, lay down again and immediately closed my eyes. Sleeping in a dream was the best way to wake up again.

>> Elly? Elly please wake up again. <<
My eyes opened quickly.
>> Vince! <<
I hugged him quickly. I was happy to finally see him again.
>> I had that dream again. It was the same wasteland again, only the gray has become darker, it will soon be black, I think. <<
He gently stroked my hair and held me in his arms. It was a feeling that I never wanted to miss and would like to feel every second. His warmth and understanding made him a wonderful person, the most important person to me.
>> Thank you for waking me up. <<
He smiled gently at me.
>> Actually, I woke you up so suddenly for a completely different reason. <<
I looked at him, but he looked to the side, embarrassed, and grinned.
>> Now tell me, Vince. <<
Now he looked deep into my eyes. The tingling sensation was in my stomach again, it was never as strong as it is now. I had to hold my stomach to be able to hold it back a little.
Vince stroked my cheek with his hand, then left it there.
What was he up to?
His face came closer to mine as he closed his eyes.
I swallowed. Felt my heart beating so hard and fast.
Did he hear it too?
Then our lips touched and the feeling of infinite happiness overcame me.

>> Elly! Come into the living room! <<
I opened my eyes. Sat in an almost black room. How could that happen? I did not fall asleep. Vince had just kissed me.I touched my lips with my fingertips. Vince's were on them seconds ago. I didn't understand why the dream could catch up with me at such a moment.
>> Elly! <<
I ran down the stairs, dazed. I heard voices but couldn't understand a word. They talked very quietly, apparently not wanting to be heard from me.
I entered the living room. I saw familiar faces, but also a new one. But even this was already covered by this fog. It was a serious-looking man whose eyes were fixed on me. The other people had looked sad or expressionless.
>> Elly. This is Mr. Miller. He will take you with him today and look after you in a clinic. <<
I stared at her in horror.
>> In a clinic, but why? <<
The woman fixed her gaze on the floor, she didn't want to look at me. She was very sad, but why?
>> You haven't set foot outside the door for almost two years, you rarely eat with us and when you do, you treat us like strangers.
You say you would go outside, but you lie in your bed and sleep most of the day. And none of your former friends know a Vince. He doesn't exist, Elly. That is why we have decided to let you live in a psychiatric hospital for a while so that you can learn to distinguish between dream and reality. <<
I felt tears run down my cheeks.
How could she say Vince wasn't real when she wasn't even herself? She couldn't take me away from him or keep him away from me. I was so happy with him.
Even if it wasn't real, I couldn't be easily ripped out of my hands.
I hardly felt that the psychologist took me by the arm and led me outside. The now black veil had also covered me and banished me to deep sadness.
My great love was just a dream that I could never return to.
