Wandering

The next morning started early for the group, before sunrise they all gathered at the cave entrance. "Well, we are a bit haphazard at the moment and just following Shun's nose is not necessarily the safest way, afterwards we will be right in front of Lord Avadoor and he already knows about us. I think we will first travel to Meldau, there has Avadoor had the slightest influence. "Ketsoki's voice was clear and determined as always.
"And how is that supposed to bring us further?" Yuna asked, slightly annoyed. Shun sighed. "Use your sparrow brain! We're going to collect information. Even from you I would have expected you to see that." he said and ran out. Yuna gritted her teeth and followed him.What was this bastard imagining?.
Shizore sighed. “At least we'll be back in warmer areas.” Cassius beside her laughed softly. “Are you that sensitive?” He dodged her fist skillfully. "Keep your mouth shut." she hissed softly. Cassius' smile widened. "I didn't say anything." he mumbled to provoke her further, but Shizore let himself fall back and formed the end of the group.
"Has any of you been to Meldau before?" asked Ketsoki and looked around, slowly but surely the big mountains disappeared and the landscape was only drawn by small hills. General head shaking followed his question.
They walked on in silence. The landscape around them really began to change, soon the ice gave way and small streams crossed the snowy landscape. Forests stood in their way and one or the other animal showed up.
"Finally, it looks a little friendlier here." Mimiko noticed and smiled pleasantly. "Mh, if you think so. Mimi, why are you with us?" she asked Arunas curiously. "Idiot. Everyone knows that." Evolet hissed and hit the blond lightly on the back of the head. "Great and why not me?" He asked and looked around, slightly offended. Mimiko sighed. "Let's say I'm seeking retaliation." Mimiko described her problem. Arunas looked even more frustrated.
“Postpone your talks until later, we need shelter.” With that, the group dispersed and Evolet finally found a small ledge that would give them protection for the night. Two hours later everyone was sitting comfortably around the campfire and barbecuing in freshly hunted rabbits. "What about us?" pouted Evolet. Ketsoki raised an eyebrow. “If you find an animal, please.” Evolet rolled his eyes and licked himself. The rest followed shortly afterwards.

A new morning dawned and while the first rays of the sun were looking their way, the group was already standing together and looking at a kind of map. "Well, it's still almost ten hours of walking to Meldau. Always along the stream. Ketsoki pointed to a trickle that flowed past them and disappeared into a small valley."Then over the hills and then we should already see the sea and the city."
"Flowery description. The climate will change quite a bit." added Cassius. "Come on then, I want to get rid of the dog." said Yuna and heard Shun's suppressed growl with friends. "Stop bickering you two. Better move." Shizore said and pushed the two of them forward. "Like children." Cassius sighed and Mimiko nodded.
As the landscape changed again, this time the snow disappeared, Shun and Yuna continued arguing. "It's starting to seem strange to me." Evolet muttered. "The two have a crush on each other and don't want to admit it." added Mimiko and grinned at the startled face of the vampire. "What, didn't you notice that? And I thought you could look into the future." Mimiko laughed softly. Evolet was smiling too now. "If you think."
"Hey you two giggles, I hate to interrupt you, but if you don't stop you will fall down a slope." explained Arunas and grinned advised when both stopped, frightened, and looked down into the valley. "You could have told us earlier too." breathed Mimiko and quickly took a step back. Arunas laughed. “Mimi, that would have ruined all the fun.” He laughed softly and stroked Mimiko's head briefly.
"Come on." he said and led the two of them along the slope to a place where they could safely climb down. Meanwhile, Mimiko was amazed at his gesture. He had patted her on the head, wasn't that just done with children?
When everyone finally overcame the slope, it went straight ahead for a while, always beautifully along the trickle, which has now formed a small stream. "So now another four hours along the stream and then up the other side again." Ketsoki was full of energy and almost rushed along the stream. Arunas right behind. Shizore sighed. "We arrive on time too!" she called to the two of them, but of course they didn't hear.
"Frustrating, isn't it?" asked Cassius, he had appeared so suddenly that Shizore jumped to the side in shock. "Do you have to scare me like that!" she hissed and angrily put her gun on his temple. Cassius raised his hands defensively and, thanks to his strength, forced them to take the weapon off his head. "Calm down, I haven't done anything." Frustrated, Shizore put her gun back in her pocket and quickened her pace. She had just flinched for the first time in her life.
"What did that go over the liver?" Shun Ketsoki asked and looked after Shizore who had already overtaken them all in an unbelievable goose step. Ketsoki shrugged. "God knows." he said and stared briefly at the map. "Two more miles and we can leave the valley" Maybe that's a good thing. "Mimiko mumbled behind him."Everyone's going crazy here."
For the next two hours they climbed back up the valley on the other side and were now at a high point. However, neither the sea nor Meldau could be seen. "great and where are we now?" Evolet asked and snatched the card from Ketsoki's hand. She stared at it for a while, then raised her head and slapped Ketsoki. This looked up confused.
"You idiot, now we're allowed to walk in the opposite direction for two hours, I don't know how you did it, but you somehow twisted the map." Evolet hissed angrily, her eyes twinkling. "Come on." she hissed and trudged back along the slope. A general annoyed groan was the result, then the group ran back to Evolet. "If it is going in the wrong direction now, I will personally leave her head off." Shizore hissed. "I'll help you." Cassius said and grinned all over his face as he stopped her fist in the air, which should undoubtedly have hit his face.
Two more hours later they finally saw the sea. It shone azure blue in the slowly setting sun. "Wow that's nice." enthused Mimiko and watched the sea with fascination. "Take it easy, it's just water." said Arunas, whose strength was slowly weakening. "Oh come on ..." shocked Mimiko paused, Arunas suddenly turned pale and simply went down on his knees. "Runa all right?" asked Mimiko and kneeled down next to him. Ketsoki hardly does. "Have you drank too little Runa again? You know that there are difficulties!" rushes in Ketsoki. Turning to Mimiko, he said: "Go ahead to Evolet and slow her down a bit." She nodded and walked away.
Arunas got up slowly, his knees were still weak and everything around him is spinning. "thanks." he mumbled softly as Ketsoki handed him a bottle. "No problem, but you should react sooner." Ketsoki said and went back to the front. Arunas followed them quickly.
Then finally Evolet stopped and looked down at a small town. Ships were lined up on the beach and the streets were bustling with activity. "Come on, let's go!" Shun called and raced down the slope, followed closely by Yuna. General laughter filled the sunlit slope.

As you see it is a somewhat shorter chapter, but I wanted to keep it exciting, what is going to happen in Meldau? ;)
I hope you don't find too many mistakes ... :(
