*… .. * - flashback
-------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------- ----------------------
It was late at night. It was full in the moon house. All Night Class students had gathered in the common room.
Kaname Kuran stood at the top of the stairs and looked down at the vampires.
"From today you will live here and also go to classes regularly. Whoever does not follow the rules will be punished," he said for a moment.
Then he continued
"I ask you not to destroy Director Cross's plans. Do you understand?" he then asked again at the end and looked down at the vampires.
All the vampires looked up at Kaname. They had listened to him carefully. When he finished speaking, they brought their palms to her chest and bowed to him.
"Yes, Kaname-sama. We will obey the rules so as not to destroy the plans of Rector Cross", the vampires rang out uniformly. Then they looked up at him again.
Kaname looked at them briefly. Then he smiled contentedly, turned and ran to his room. In his office he still had some paperwork to do, which he didn't feel like doing, but who else should do it. So he just closed his eyes and went through it.
Meanwhile, all the vampires went to their room. All except Ichijo.
He walked straight to Kaname's office.
Once there, he knocked on the door and waited for Kaname to invite him in, after all, he didn't want to disturb Kaname's privacy.
Kaname, who was sitting at his desk behind a huge pile of papers, raised his head.
"Come on in Ichijo," he said but immediately turned back to the paper he wanted to read. Ichijo entered Kaname's office in silence and closed the door behind him. Then he turned to Kaname.
"Anything new?" He asked him.
"No, not really," said Kaname. "Only one student is not here because of her health," he added and put Maria Kurenai's files on a pile of books in case Ichijo wanted to look at the files.
Ichijo nodded and took the file to look at it.
"I see," he said and opened it with a gentle movement.
"Maria Kurenai ..." he read out loud and then frowned. Meanwhile, Kaname looked through the next pieces of paper. He wrote something on it and put it on the done pile. Then he looked up at Ichijo.
"What is Ichijo?" Kaname asked him now.Did Ichijo find the files strange?
"hm ... no, the girl just looks weird ..." Ichijo confessed.
"Don't you think it's strange that a vampire still lives in a country house in the mountains because of her weak body?" he said suddenly. Kaname nodded in agreement.
"Yes ... this is really ... unusual ..." he said and Ichijo agreed. After all, it really didn't happen that often.
"hm ... I think we'll wait until she comes and then keep an eye on her ..." suggested Ichijo.
"If you want, I can do that too ..." he offered. Kaname was just looking through the next piece of paper again.
"That would of course be good ... After all, we don't want anything to happen to her ..." he said and then looked up at Ichijo again.
"Or?"
Ichijo winced at his question, which sounded a little warning. But then he smiled.
"Um no, of course we don't want that. I'll take care of the girl who she arrives and she take something under my care," he said with the beaming smile he has on his lips every day. Kaname also had to smile slightly now.
"Thank you Dan Ichijo. You are really a great help," he said.
"Oh no, you know I like to do that," said Ichijo and scratched the back of his head.
From his smile you could see that he was very happy about the comment, as he always liked to help Kaname. He was very happy that Kaname appreciated that. Kaname kept smiling. However, his smile faded when he looked back at the pile of papers. Immediately he started going through them again one by one. Meanwhile, Ichijo put Maria's file back in its place. "Can I help you with anything else?" Ichijo asked.
"Otherwise I would like to look at the others now," he said friendly (as always, XD).
"No, it's okay. Go on.", Kaname said and put another sheet of paper on the "done" pile.
"I already sheep ..." he added. Well ... you weren't really sure about that.
There were so many piles of papers on the table that Kaname could hardly be seen behind them. Ichijo escaped a low chuckle when he heard Kaname's words and then saw the pile.
"I'll have a look at the others and then come to help you a bit," he said, still giggling slightly, and then finally left the room. After Ichijo left the room, Kaname looked up. "He always likes to annoy me ...", he mumbled very quietly to himself. He ran a hand through his hair and leaned back. He looked at the pile of papers in front of him. A slightly annoyed groan escaped him. In the meantime Ichijo made a little tour. All the vampires seemed to have a room and get on well with each other, which made him happy. No quarrel was all harmonious as he liked it. When he was everywhere and saw that everyone had settled in, he went to the room for 5 minutes to get some fresh air.Outside Ichiro immediately spotted a very familiar face. Shiki was outside in the fresh air too. He was sitting on a bench with one of his beloved mikado sticks in his mouth. Ichijo went to him with quick steps.
"Hello," he said and smiled graciously at Shiki.
Shiki looked up. "Hello Ichijo," he said in his beautiful voice, which, as always, sounds bored. He offered him a mikado stick. Ichijo gratefully accepted the mikado stick. Then he sat down next to Shiki and took the mikado stick in his mouth.
"How are you the Shiki?" He asked him.
"As always ... you Ichijo?" he asked and looked at Ichijo. He chewed on his mikado stick and looked like a cute child. At this sight Ichijo had to smile slightly. He'd love to pinch his cheek and toss his hair.
"Oh, I'm doing very well today," Ichijo uttered in a harmonious voice.
Shiki cocked her head slightly. "Why?" He asked, still chewing on his Mikado stick. Of course, Ichijo was almost always in a good mood. But that he was doing so well wasn't exactly common either. Ichijo looked at Shiki with a grin.
"You don't always have to have a reason," he said.
"But maybe it's because we're finally all seeing each other again," he added cheerfully.
Shiki had finished his mikado stick and put the next one in his mouth.
"Right, a long time ago ..." Shiki agreed and looked into the dark night sky.
"Well ...", Ichijo said and laughed. "I can be in a good mood, can't I?", Grinning he looked at Shiki. The latter looked at Ichijo and nibbled on his Mikado chopsticks. He nodded in agreement. He nodded in agreement. He was also very pleased to see his old friends again. Just ... he didn't show it as openly as Ichijo. Ichijo had already eaten the mikado stick that Shiki had given him. He was in his mind when he suddenly jumped up.
"Ah ... I told Kaname that I would help him," he said suddenly, panicked. Excited, he ran on the spot.
"See you later Shiki," he said happily and was already gone. Shiki looked after Ichijo. He had eaten his mikado stick again and was looking up at the starry night again. It was quiet what he was enjoying. Then he put another mikado stick in his mouth. Ichijo ran towards Kaname's office. There he knocked. Kaname had already made a third of the papers (yes there are seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeehr many papers xD).
"Come in," he said briefly without turning away from the paper. Ichijo quickly entered the room and looked at Kaname. He dropped.
"So many more?" He managed to halt. "Well that can be something," he said, slightly listless, but he would still help Kaname, that was just his way. Kaname didn't really feel like telling Ichijo again that he didn't have to do it, so he read it and continued. Within a minute he put 30 sheets on the "done" pile number 4.(yes the stacks were so high that he had to make new ones xD). Ichijo stepped forward. He started helping Kaname. Suddenly everything seemed to go much faster. Since Ichijo mostly took over Kaname's paperwork, he was also quite nimble with that. Only a short time later it was actually only half a pile that needed to be made. Yes Ichijo was once again full of zest for action. But Kaname hadn't been slow either, since he hadn't thought much this time. The last piece he had done within a few minutes. Then he leaned back "relieved" in his chair.
"Finally ..." he said quietly and looked at Ichijo. "Thank you for helping me," he thanked him and smiled slightly. Ichijo returned the smile.
"That was a matter of course," he said in a friendly tone. Then he stretched slightly. "The other vampires are now in their rooms and are preparing to go to bed ..." Ichijo commented. He wanted Kaname to be always up to date. "You can also go to sleep if you want," said Kaname. "So far everything seems to be going well ..." he said, looking thoughtful. He was kind of thirsty. That a lot to him right now. But as always, he didn't let it show.
// I have to have a glass of the "stuff" afterwards // he thought. For a long time Ichijo just looked at Kaname.
"If there is nothing left to talk about or do I will go," he said and looked like he was waiting for Kaname to ask. Kaname looked at Ichijo again. "Well ... nothing really important, could you bring me a glass with a dissolved tablet ..." he asked him. Actually, he could do it himself ... but he was looking at Maria's file.
"Of course," said Ichijo. "Wait a moment, I'll bring you one right away," and in the next moment Ichijo was already gone. He quickly got a glass of water and a pill. Then he prepared the drink for Kaname.
