Kaname had checked Ichijo, then he looked again at Maria Kurenai's file.
"Hm ...", his gaze wandered from the report of the illness up to the picture of her. He eyed her briefly and finally his gaze stopped on her neck. Finally Ichijo finally came back.
"Here ..." he said with a smile and handed him the glass.
"I hope it didn't take too long". Kaname looked up. He took the glass.
"Thank you," he thanked him and his gaze briefly wandered to his neck, but then back to the glass he was holding. He studied it for a moment and then took a sip. Of course ichijo had noticed the look, but he didn't comment on it. He smiled faintly.
"Well if you don't need me anymore I'll go to bed. You should do that too, by the way," he said and ran to the door. Kaname nodded and looked at him.
"Well then, good night," he said politely and then left the office.
Then he went to his room to go to sleep.But when he heard voices that were very familiar to him, he followed them up. When Ichijo was gone, Kaname was relieved. He ran his free hand through his hair, then looked at the glass. It was quite dark in his room, and you could almost only see his glowing red eyes ... He was thirsty for blood ... But he had to be content with the blood tablets for better or worse. He emptied the glass and then looked at this. He was still thirsty. This "stuff" wasn't as good as real blood. The taste also left a lot to be desired. Meanwhile Ichijo followed the voices he heard. The voices came from the common room. When he entered it he found 5 rather lively vampires that were all very familiar to him.
"Well, you're still awake," he said in astonishment and looked at Ruka, Akatsuki, Aidou, Shiki and Rima in amazement.
Shiki was the first to look at Ichijo and, as expected, had a Mikado stick in his mouth and chewed on it. He was sitting as relaxed as ever on the couch. "Hi," he greeted briefly. The others greeted him too. Ichijo let out a sigh. Then he joined them.
"Aren't you tired?" He asked simply out of curiosity.
"Nope, not really," said Aidou who was just bored and froze, melted a glass of water again, then froze again and melted again. He repeated this process over and over again all the time.
Rima was silent. She sat next to Shiki and looked at him all the time, expecting that he would finally give her a chopstick. Shiki noticed Rima's gaze and held a mikado stick in front of her mouth. He still had his in his mouth and looked totally cute as always. Rima opened her mouth and took the mikado stick.
// finally //, she thought as if she had to wait an eternity for it. After the Rima "thank you" accepted the Mikado stick, Shiki looked back at Ichijo.
Akatsuki stood leaning against the wall and looked at Ruka and then at Aidou. He was silent. Ruka sat alone on an armchair and was silent. As always, her mind wandered around Kaname. What was he doing right now? How was he doing? Oh no matter what he did, he certainly looked fantastic. Ichijo looked around.
"Hm ... long ago that we were all sitting together like that again," he said happily.
"That's right," admitted Aidou.
"But there is still one person missing," he said, looking at the frozen water in the glass.
Shiki looked questioningly at Aidou. "Who do you mean", he asked him.
Akatsuki also looked at Aidou after his gaze rested on Ruka for a short time. Aidou's gaze wandered to Shiki.
"Well, who ... when I think back to our childhood ... Kaname-sama was always part of the group here ... but somehow he doesn't have any time for us anymore," he lowered his head, hurt. That really seemed to matter to him that Kaname would rather be in his office than with them."Well, but he's got a lot to do at the moment, you have to understand that too," said Ichijo and, as always, took Kaname under protection.
"That's right ... but it's a shame that he isn't involved in such meetings that often anymore," Ruka interjected. Without Kaname, something was missing.
Rima remained calm and chewed on her Mikado stick that Shiki had given her. The fact that Kaname wasn't in the group didn't seem to bother her. But she didn't belong to the group of children from back then, just like Shiki. Shiki himself was silent at first and swallowed his Mikado stick.
"Maybe he's just gone to sleep ... we should do that too ... He'll probably have more time tomorrow," said Shiki and then put a Mikado stick in his mouth again.
"ÄHHHHHHHHHHHHHH", Ichijo said only about Shiki's comment, which meant something like >> No, probably not <<. Ichijo dropped slightly and looked around.
He saw 2 unresponsive vampires (Shiki & Rima),
a slightly depressed vampire (Ruka),
a "you can't do anything vampire (Akatsuki) and
a "cursed life, God deliver me from my suffering" vampire who had bowed his head (Aidou).
Suddenly Kaname came down the stairs.
He looked at the other vampires where the mood was probably not the best. "Ah you are all still awake?" He asked. He hadn't thought that "everyone" would still be in the common room in the middle of the day.
