Death Angel
At night when the forest is alive
Two days went by without any problems, it was quiet. The sun was gradually going down. Nobody had expected anything bad when it suddenly started to shake.
SUSI: "Oh my god. AN EARTHQUAKE!" She yelled.
Alice and Suzy both held on. I was clutching the leg of a table. When the earthquake stopped, we realized that someone was missing.
ALICE: "Carina?" She asked carefully.
A voice came from the bathroom (with just a small shower and camping toilet, of course).
CARINA: "I fell over with the toilet," she said, shaken.
We looked at each other in disbelief, then opened the door that led to the bathroom. Then we saw Carina actually sitting on the overturned camping toilet. It looked so funny that we started laughing, even Carina joined in the laughter. Yes, I always knew that laughter is contagious.
The moon seemed brighter that night than usual, it was a full moon. Susi had the brilliant idea that we should tell ghost stories to each other.
CARINA: "As if we didn't already have enough problems. It was only because of you that we got into this mess."
ALICE: "Oh come on. That can at least distract us a little from our situation, and it could be funny."
CARINA: "Great, are you going to take her side now? Jessica, tell me something too.", She almost screamed.
ALICE: "You're really looking for the right contact person."
CARINA: "JESSICA?" She asked aloud.
JESSICA: "I'm for the ghost stories."
CARINA: "You can't be serious, can it? Where are we here?"
JESSICA: "Death Angel, Chapter 4, Page 14." she said, holding up a few pieces of paper.
ALICE: "Where did you get that from?"
SUSI: "Why is that wondering you? She always carries some stuff around with her."
CARINA: "I'm really starting to think she's disturbed."
ALICE: "Just tell me, you’ll only notice that now."
I knew that I was not completely normal, but I also know it without having to be told. Of course I started to get a big grin on my face again. I'm really good at this.
But now back to the topic. We told each other the scariest stories we could think of, of course I had most of them in store and a lot to tell. We had started laughing about it and cracking jokes about ghosts, I don't remember how we got there myself. In any case, we had relaxed until suddenly the light went out, which we had dimmed to get a better atmosphere.
CARINA: "Well that's still great."
SUSI: "And what do we do now?"
JESSICA: "I'll go have a look and turn the power back on," I said and went out.
I went to the fuse box and tried to turn the light back on. A rustle caught my attention. There was something in one of the bushes, it had glowing eyes in the dark.Since I'm so curious, I stepped closer and then ...
We changed the view of my friends. This is the short time I only had my friends' stories to write this story down, so from now on I will write from a general perspective.
They were waiting for their friend on the couch in the living room, the light still not being switched on.
CARINA: "She's been out there for a long time now. Has she got lost or what?"
SUSI: "Shouldn't we just have a look?"
ALICE: "Yes. Not that anything else happened to her."
CARINA: "Something is more likely to happen to someone who wants to do something to her."
ALICE: "That's right again."
So that nobody goes out alone and disappears, they decided to look for their friend together. They went to the fuse box where it should have been, but there was nothing to be seen of her.
SUSI: "Jessica?" She said softly.
ALICE: "She just heard that. JESSICA!" She yelled.
Something rustled in a bush.
CARINA: "You don't scare Jessica like that. Stop these jokes."
The bushes rustled again, but it was not Jessica who stepped out, but a wolf larger than usual and began to growl violently.
SUSI: "Mom."
ALICE: "One. One. One. A WOLF:"
CARINA: "Oh my god! Alice do something.", She almost shouted.
ALICE: "What? Do I look like Sailor Moon?" She said sarcastically.
Carina looked at her friend and introduced herself as Sailor Moon. For a moment she saw the image of the warrior before her.
CARINA: "Somehow," she replied, amazed.
The wolf listened, the friends heard something too. It sounded like a whistle in the wind and the wolf turned around, he disappeared in the direction in which the noise was coming.
The friends followed the wolf (pure curiosity * hehe *), they roamed through the forest between branches, bushes and trees. They tried to keep up with the animal, they lost it when a crow screamed and startled them.
CARINA: "Well, now we've lost the cattle."
SUSI: "We have to keep looking, the wolf could lead us on Jessica's trail."
ALICE: "What do we do if it ate you?" She asked panicked.
CARINA: "You won't be eaten and now come."
They kept going straight on until they came to a clearing. The grass was lit by the moon, there were fireflies flying by, but the strangest thing about it was that they sparkled in different colors.
SUSI: "That's awesome."
ALICE: "I didn't know there were so many different colors of fireflies," she enthused.
CARINA: "Look, someone is standing over there," she said, pointing to someone.
A person with a long black coat and a hood that covered the face was standing in the middle of a swarm of fireflies. They observed this person for a while, but they did not move and did not seem to have noticed them either.
SUSI: "Should we speak to them?" She asked quietly.
PERSON: "If you stay there any longer, you will still put down roots.", Said an unfamiliar female voice.
SUSI: "Sorry for the disturbance. One of our friends has disappeared, you may have seen her."
The woman stretched out her right arm, a crow flew directly over the heads of the three friends, which drew a scream from Alice. The crow landed right on the stranger's arm.
WOMAN: "Of course I saw her. She went back to where she belongs.", She said and stroked the crow.
SUSI: "Thank you, so she's back in the hut.", She said, relieved.
They turned to go, but when they did so the woman stood in front of them again. You were frightened.
CARINA: "How did you do that?" She asked with wide eyes.
WOMAN: "Nobody who has entered this place is ever allowed to leave it again."
The three friends took a few steps back.
CARINA: "We're looking for a madwoman and we meet a madwoman, that's kind of fate, isn't it?" She asked without waiting for an answer.
The woman began to laugh, louder and louder, until it suddenly dissolved into a swarm of crows. Alice screamed as the crows flew overhead. Then just a voice was echoing through the darkness of the forest.
VOICE: "Nobody escapes death even if you should flee."
They stared spellbound into the forest, still surprised at what had happened. Even the fireflies were gone.
SUSI: "Has that really happened now?"
CARINA: "She said death, didn't she?" She asked the others.
Everyone ran screaming back into the wooden hut. Alice, who was the last to arrive at the hut, slammed the door violently. They took a short breath.
ALICE: "I really have no idea where we got in here."
CARINA: "It's only Jessica's fault. If she hadn't gone out alone, we wouldn't have had to look for her and we would never have come across this strange thing."
SUSI: "But what if Jessy is already dead?"
ALICE: "Death got Jessica because she was alone. She was the one who knew the most about that kind of thing."
SUSI: "But what if she's still alive and waiting to be saved by us."
CARINA: "I say she's dead and we're going back home."
SUSI: "I totally agree, let's go home."
ALICE: "I'm against it, she's definitely still alive. We have to find her."
SUSI: "Somehow she's right."
CARINA: "Can you make up your mind? I say we pack our things and go. That something called 'death' said that she met Jessica and she returned. That certainly means that death brought her. "
The other two didn't know what to say and agreed to leave, even if not entirely voluntarily. After packing everything, they went through the dark forest. Again and again they looked around fearfully, they felt they were being watched. They ran and ran for quite a while, but they hadn't been able to reach the edge of the forest, although they should have been there a while ago.
CARINA: "How long does it take to get out of this damned forest?" She grumbled.
ALICE: "I was just about to ask you that too."
SUSI: "Guys I think I've seen that tree over there before."
CARINA: "Susi, these are trees, they all look the same," she said irritably.
They continued walking without uttering a sound until one of the bushes in front of them began to rustle. Carina gestured to them that they should keep quiet. She picked up a thick stick from the ground and threw it into the rustling bushes, then all they heard was a scream. The friends went up to the bushes and saw me.
JESSICA: "Are you abandoned by all good spirits? That hurt," she said angrily.
ALICE: "Jessica!" She said happily and hugged her friend tightly.
JESSICA: "Alice ... you're crushing me," she said without air.
Alice lets go of her friend with an apology and a grin.
CARINA: "Tell me, where are you? We've been looking for you everywhere.", She said Sauer.
JESSICA: "Ha ha. That's a strange story.", She started.
~ FLASHBACK ~
I went to the fuse box and tried to turn the light back on. A rustle caught my attention. There was something in one of the bushes, it had glowing eyes in the dark. Since I'm so curious, I stepped closer and then I literally stumbled into this damn bush and hit my head. At some point I woke up again and noticed that my friends were no longer there and went looking for them until suddenly a stick fell on my pear.
~ FLASHBACK END ~
JESSICA: "Yes, it was like that," she said,
