Chapter 2: Department Store Flirt
By now everyone had spread out in the living room and the adjoining kitchen, either sitting on the sofa or, like Hidan and Deidara, making themselves comfortable on the massage chairs. Noelle rummaged in her black purse, hoping to find her digital camera. Brianna leaned against the kitchen counter and checked a few strands of her hair for split ends. In the meantime she had found a few - four - and sighed, not wanting to go to her hairdresser and let her talk to her.
Pain, who looked really strange with all his piercings, was talking in a muted tone to the blue-haired Konan in a corner of the room. Sasori was still standing there, apparently thinking hard about something that could be seen in his furrowed brow and the concentrated gaze on the floor. Really, the floor wasn't exactly interesting. Itachi stood by the window and looked down at the busy 5th Avenue. He has never seen anything like it in his entire life, and he has seen a lot.
Only Phibi wasn't in the living room. Meanwhile she turned her room upside down. She just couldn't explain how for heaven's sake you couldn't find a laptop until she got the idea and threw all her bedding on the floor and finally found the laptop on her bed. With a certain pride she went back to the others.
After a quick search on the Internet, the three girls, bent over the laptop with interest and eagerly watching every click, found this information page Noelle had spoken of.Narutopedia.
You enteredAkatsukiin the search field and a page immediately opened.
It said all sorts of things. Only that the girls understood next to nothing what they read there.Nuke-nin, Biju, Naruto Shippuuden, what's that supposed to be?
Brianna quickly scanned the many small articles on the subject.
"World domination? That was clear. Such types are not exactly creative. Always and in every action film, some megalomaniac villains want to usurp world domination." With a smile, Brianna looked at the pictures. "Crazy! They really look like that!" She pointed to the screen, to the picture on which one saw 10 more or less masked figures. She already knew six of them, the other four looked even stranger, if that was even possible!
"But why did only these six show up here? And the others not?", Phibi asked quietly, so as not to be heard by the Akatsukis.
"Maybe they just looked too abnormal for our world. Take a look at the blue-skinned one! In contrast, they are relatively 'normal'", Noelle said with a shrug.
The three tried to look inconspicuously at the people wearing the coat. They nodded silently to each other and now delved further into the article."What should we do with them?" Asked Phibi. She closed the laptop again as soon as they had read through everything.
Again her two friends didn't know how to answer the question and so they were silent.
“What's going on?” Konan sat down on the bar stool next to Brianna. She had watched the girls for a while. Now she gave everyone a concerned, warm look.
Noelle smiled weakly. "We don't know ourselves."
"I'm really sorry that we are so burdensome to you."
"No, no. You really don't! Believe me. We just don't know how to continue. We don't know whether you will somehow get back to your homeland, whether you will be stuck here for half an eternity, or whether disappears from one second to the next. ”Phibi sighed. "We don't know anything!"
"I thought no future event could beat the gay French. Well, and then you stand in front of us." Noelle laughed to herself.
"Yeah, it's no different for us, except for the fact that we didn't see any gay French.", Konan laughed.
Brianna watched her closely. The article said that the six were one of the worst and most ruthless evildoers in their world. A bunch of mass murderers. But Konan? Konan didn't seem like the type who just killed partially innocent people. Konan wasn't like that at all.
It was like talking to a friend and laughing together.
"I don't know exactly, but suppose you really stay here for a while," began Noelle, who had an idea. "You could, but only if you want, live in my apartment."
"The apartment? Isn't that too small?" Asked Brianna.
"Yes, mine is. But the winter apartment of my parents and me is, as far as I know, big enough to accommodate a soccer team. My parents spend a long vacation in France anyway. That's how long the six of them could be live there. Would that be okay, Konan? "
"That would be great, but I don't know.", Konan said modestly.
"Come on. It won't bother me."
"Okay!", The blue-haired one smiled and secretly hoped that Pain wouldn't stand up.
“And I already have an idea how we can fix your clothes problem.” Brianna's eyes twinkled at the thought. "Since my father has very good contacts in the fashion bite recently, I got a percentage card fromBergdorf! I think they want to get me to stand on two legs, something like their advertising. And I have used the card twice! "
"How? Really? You didn't say anything about that!" Noelle couldn't believe it.
"Honestly," Brianna confirmed.
"I would say Noelle prepares everything about the apartment and Konan and Brianna go shopping! I'll take care of the men before they turn my apartment upside down." Phibi winked at the three of them. She didn't think that her problem could be solved so quickly. But you live in New York. Almost anything is possible there.
Brianna and Konan were now standing in front of the house where Phibi lived. Konan had previously swapped her black coat and other clothes for comfortable jeans, a blue T-shirt and brown boots - for which she visibly envied Brianna, since her ballet flats are not an advantage because of the cold. The two of them had dug all the clothes out of Phibi's oversized closet. In the end, the blue-haired girl got Phibi's Burberry coat, and so she looked like a normal New Yorker with good taste.
"Why should I come with you now?", Konan asked, who still had to get used to the new things. She looked impressed at the sight that was presented to her. The huge sidewalk was hustle and bustle, as always. It was a miracle that people didn't run around or bump into each other.
"Because you're the only woman in your organization and because you probably know more about fashion than the boys. We also have to buy all sorts of clothes and it's just better to go shopping with someone. It's funnier and so can I Show you New York a little. You will be thrilled, believe me! "She gave Konan a smile before standing on the edge of the sidewalk and waving a taxi, which she said was the fourth time that day made.
All you had to do was drive 5th Avenue to the end of Central Park. And from there you could already see the large, luxurious Bergdorf shopping center.
Konan was amazed at this huge city, this huge shopping mall, even if she didn't really show it. Everywhere you looked you could see people in outrageously expensive outfits. Then you knew where the money was.
Noelle was on the phone with her family's staff. Fortunately, the woman on the phone didn't ask why Noelle wanted the key to the apartment as soon as possible. Who would believe that if you were told that all of a sudden 6 complete strangers from an anime would appear and wander helplessly through New York if they had no place to spend the night?
After ten minutes everything was settled and the Akatsukis could move in by 6 p.m. this evening at the latest. The receptionist would then give her the key.
Relieved, she went back to Phibi's apartment.
"And? Are you okay?", Phibi immediately sat on one of the white armchairs and talked excitedly with Deidara, who she actually liked, even if he looked a bit strange with his blond mane.
“Yes, everything will be finished and you can move in there tonight.” The half-French brunette sat down next to Deidara on the sofa.
"What are you going to do with us and where are Konan and your other friend ...", Deidara asked."... Brianna, her name is.", Phibi said, "The two of them are in town and are getting you appropriate clothes. We can't let you walk around Manhattan like that."
"Exactly. And you can sleep in my parents' winter apartment." In a certain way, Noelle made it proud to do something for the oh-so helpless mass murderers. Even if it was a little paradoxical.
Brianna stood in front of the locker room and waited for Konan. They had decided first to get clothes for Konan and at the end to devote themselves to the men's section. The curtain opened and Konan stood in front of Brianna wearing tight, dark blue jeans and a white top with a dark blue bow. Due to Konan's special hair color, the two young women could not experiment with typical colors and had to limit themselves to black, white, blue and other subtle tones. Konan looked happier than before. Before that, she wore a denim skirt and a t-shirt in a marine look, which Konan refused to knit and then opted for the classic jeans that she now wore.
"Wow, I didn't think that would look so good on you!" Said Brianna, who had grabbed the denim skirt and T-shirt instead of Konan.
"Yeah, I like that too." Konan smiled contentedly.
"Then we'll take it with us. Hurry up to get changed. We'll quickly go to buy more jeans and T-shirts and shoes and jackets and coats and .. Oh, just everything! A woman has to have a certain selection when it comes to." Dressing works! ". Brianna hopped enthusiastically from one leg to the other.
After Konan drew the curtain again to change in peace, Brianna sat on a soft, bright pink sofa near the changing rooms.
"Brianna." , came a well-known voice behind her, "What are you doing here alone?"
"Jesse." Brianna turned and looked into dark green eyes that looked at her in amusement. Jesse was tall and insanely handsome, which made a lot of girls melt when he was around. He always had a playful smile and tousled brown-black hair.
Brianna knew Jesse from school and it was not
