Die Prophezeiung
The saviour
So warm. Was that death? Did they kill me or did my 'savior' do it?
Pots rattled. I opened my eyes in confusion. I was lying in a bed in a wooden hut. I let my gaze wander through the little hut. My gaze stayed on the young man leaning over the stove. My heart was beating faster.
Kakashi.
I remembered his words again, but then why was I still alive? Why was I lying here in bed and he was cooking something? Maybe it was a trap? Or a genjutsu?
I slowly sat up in the bed. I hurt every muscle and bone imaginable. The bed creaked with my movements and Kakashi turned around. I considered my chances, whether I would manage to escape again or whether I would have to fight. My body protested loudly.
It was hopeless, it was over.
"Runa ... you are awake," he said gently.
"Hypocrite!" I yelled at him and jumped out of bed. But that was too fast and my legs gave out. Immediately he was standing in front of me. I felt sick. He was so kind and concerned. It had to be a trick.
"Everything will be fine," he tried to calm me down.
"Then do it now! Come on, I'm ready," I whispered and the tears came. Until now I had survived everything without tears, but now they came. I didn't hold her back. Would he make it quick or make me suffer?
I looked up into his eyes. There was confusion and worry in them. All of this confused me more and more.
"So you think I want to kill you?" He asked straight away and a small smile flickered over his lips.
I nodded silently.
"Please ... do it quickly," I whispered, bowing my head.
He laughed.
He really laughed. But it wasn't a victorious laugh, rather a very amused one.
"Runa, I won't hurt you, I promise," he suddenly said seriously and lifted my head so high that I had to look into his eyes.
He was telling the truth. I felt it, he wasn't lying. His eyes told me the same thing.
But did I want to trust him? Did I have a choice if I wanted to live? I wanted life, that was clear to me, but also like that? Was that the only way?
"What about, do you want to eat something now?", Kakashi stood at the stove again and turned his back to me, next to me was my bag with the kunais.
He trusted me. He knew what I was capable of.
I got up slowly and waited until my circulation had calmed down again and walked up to him and sat down at the small table that was in the middle of the room.
I had made up my mind: I would stay. He wouldn't hurt me.
"Kakashi, are you okay?" I asked when the silence was palpable.
"Yes, they are fine, except for the worries that torment them. They think it is their fault," he said carefully. There was something he was hiding from me now.
"If you should see them, are you telling them I'll be back and not to worry?"I asked him.
Yes, at some point I would return to Konoha. Be it just to see them again and to thank them.
He nodded.
"Why are you here anyway? You were definitely there with them," I asked further.
"Because ... Because I think it's wrong what she's up to", there was more, but why didn't he finally tell me the truth? Still, I didn't ask any further questions. Maybe it was better that way.
Three days had passed again. Kakashi had told me that three days had passed before I woke up, and he thought that the rest of my pursuers were far enough away.
That's why I finally decided to go outside today. I had already seen through the window that the hut was in the middle of the forest. I would feel good here.
"I'm going out now," I called to Kakashi and went out.
I took a deep breath of the forest air and looked around. I didn't know where I was, but I would find my way around here. I sat down on a tree stump in front of our shelter and listened. It didn't take long to find out that there was a lake nearby. My senses had improved a lot since that evening and I could hear the water. I walked slowly towards the lake and a few meters before I could see the lake, I stopped.
There was someone.
I focused on the chakra and it seemed strangely familiar. It was my Savior's chakra. Maybe he would recognize me again?
Hesitantly, I continued up to him and sat in the shade of the trees to watch him.
He was good.
His movements were consistent and smooth. No faltering or bumping. Suddenly he stopped and stared in my direction. His gaze pierced me. In less than a few seconds he was standing in front of me, holding his katana threateningly at me.
"What are you doing here and who are you?" He asked coldly.
I lost myself in his red eyes. The Sharingan.
"I ... I wanted to train ..." I stuttered out. He looked me in the eye and I saw him thinking. How he weighed my words. He slowly lowered his katana.
"You are the girl that was haunted by the Konoha Anbus, aren't you?" He asked me.
I was unable to say anything, so I just nodded silently.
He put his katana away for good and deactivated his Sharingan.
"Thanks ..." I whispered softly as he turned around.
"You can show your appreciation by fighting with me," he replied simply. He turned and gave me a challenging look. A small smile crossed my lips.
"With pleasure."
The fight was good. We were equal opponents, so there was never anyone who really had an advantage. Time passed quickly, far too quickly.
"Let's stop ... Um, what's your name?" He smiled at me. It was the first time he smiled. It was a warm and open smile that wasn't at all
wanted to fit his behavior.
"Runa", I answer simply.
"Ok, Runa ..." he started and suddenly turned around.
"I have to go, he calls me. It was really ... fun. Here again tomorrow?", He looked a bit ashamed, but I was glad, very much, that he wanted to see me again.
"Yes, ok ... Um ...", I started and it occurred to me that he looked so familiar to me, but that I couldn't think of his name.
"Sasuke," he said and disappeared.
With a smile, I turned and went back to Kakashi.
So Sasuke was my savior. But why was he here and not in Konoha?
