Die Prophezeiung
Feelings
My feelings and thoughts were still going crazy when I got to the house. To pretend that Kakashi wouldn't notice was as good as hopeless, but he just couldn't find out why. He wouldn't let me see him, but ... as difficult as it was for me, I needed the older Uchiha.
It was he who made me smile, hope. I almost forgot how to do it. I felt comfortable the way it was. It's just hard to let go of this light-heartedness once you've tasted it.
Could he build what his brother had destroyed?
The days passed more and more slowly, only the evenings passed far too quickly. Itachi accepted my limits and only went so far. He didn't force me to do anything, he was just happy to be with me. It was the same for me, only I was scared.
Afraid of being left alone. One part of me finally wanted to really get involved with him, but the other was reluctant. And he just waited.
Once again, like almost the last two weeks, he and I sat by the lake. The evenings with him had become a must, and I was finally able to admit that I had fallen in love with the even more silent Uchiha. I brushed this prophecy aside when I was consoled. Even if he wasn't the shadow, which only a small part of me believed in, I wanted him. Sasuke had hurt me and the thought of him had become less painful, but he had left me with permanent damage, which Itachi had to suffer from now.
"I'm sorry," I suddenly whispered, looking down at the grass below. He put an arm around me and waited for my reaction. I was unsure what would happen if I leaned on him, would he move on?
My desires were greater than reason and my fears.
"As long as you come to me, you don't have to feel sorry for anything," he whispered and began to stroke my arm.
His touch gave me goose bumps and a comfortable feeling.
It was him that I wanted and no one else.
"Kiss me," I suddenly heard myself whisper.
Seriously he looked me in the eye and his look became more and more questioning. I just closed my eyes, he would understand.
When his lips came to mine this time, it was different.
Unlike last time.
Unlike Sasuke.
Why do I have to think of this evening now ?!
I shouldn't think of anything or anyone else now, so I concentrated entirely on his soft lips, which were carefully on mine. The feeling was breathtaking, but as much as I wanted it to be, it wasn't perfect.
The kiss lasted until I had to give in to catch my breath.
He just grinned cheekily at me.
"What is it?" I stuck my tongue out at him.
"Nothing, nothing," he said and fell back on the grass."I don't believe you," I whispered, leaning over his face.
Again that smile spreads on his lips. He was quick.
I didn't have time to react when he had already put a hand on my neck and pulled me down to him.
"I'm just happy," he whispered after another quick kiss.
"Runa?" Kakashi's voice called through the forest.
When was he looking for me? Did he hear anything?
I feared the very worst.
I turned back to Itachi, but there was no one left.
There was only one piece of paper left.
I love you
It said nothing more, you don't have to stand there more to make me smile.
I carefully picked up the slip of paper and went to meet Kakashi.
"What's going on?" I asked him, trying to sound as relaxed as possible.
"Nothing important. I just wanted to go back to the village with you tonight, there's a festival there," he said and grinned.
"Gladly," I said and raked myself to him.
Before we went down to the village, we stopped by our hut one more time. A blissful grin had crept onto my face. Kakashi seemed to like that and if he hadn't the mask he would probably be grinning to himself.
"Now you close your eyes nicely," he said conspiratorially.
He was as happy as a little child and made me curious.
"What is this supposed to be?" I asked suspiciously.
"TADA!" He made and held a black dress in front of my nose.
It was wonderful.
It was cut in an A-shape with wide straps and it came up to about my knees.
"There ... thanks," I stuttered, embarrassed.
"Come on, get it on," he pushed me in and turned around.
I wasn't afraid that he would look. He knew what was proper.
After I had examined myself a thousand times in the mirror and Kakashi had dressed up a bit too, we were on our way.
Yes, today was really a good day.
The day had been almost perfect so far and maybe it would still be perfect?
Who knew what to expect down in the village?
Finally, finally I felt free again and was glad to feel something for someone again.
