Chapter 3

On the planet Xenox the last of the four suns slowly sank and the blood-red crescent moon could be seen in the dark night sky. Only the guards were frolicking in the corridors of the spaceship, the others had already gone to their beds. Only the little Saiyan prince Vegeta was not in his bed. He stayed up until he knew that all the remaining soldiers were in their rooms. Now his revenge against the tyrant could begin. He had thought out his plan very carefully and was sure that everything would go smoothly unless the tyrant woke up earlier. The probability that exactly that happened was not very high, however, since the Ice-Jin had a very firm sleep and followed a certain daily routine that did not allow him to get up earlier. The soldiers also had to endure a similar process, but Vegeta didn't mind because he lived more for fighting and killing. Vegeta crept quietly into the dark corridor and the electronic door behind him closed with a barely perceptible whir. Now we could start! The small shadow moves on tiptoe through the corridor and only stopped a few meters from Freezer's private room. Since Vegeta belonged to the elite class, he was allowed to move into a room on the same floor as the master and as it turned out that was the best thing that could happen to you. Because Master Freezer preferred to vent his aggressions on the lower class warriors, as these were mostly useless.
Vegeta examined the door. It was secured three times so that Freezer couldn't be disturbed in his sleep. You needed a password to get into the room, which Vegeta of course didn't know. Only Freezer himself and his two henchmen Zarbon and Dodoria knew this. The two lived in two rooms in the immediate vicinity of Freezer.
Vegeta looked closely at the huge door for him. How should he get in there now? The prince frowned and thought hard. He had overlooked this factor, but an idea occurred to him. When planning each spaceship, Freezer insisted on getting ventilation for its rooms and since this was always connected to shafts, the architect had to put them through the corridors. They were very well secured and only attached very flat to the ceiling, but there was room for a Saiyajin who was already too small, or at least that was what Vegeta suspected.
So he raised his head and searched the ceiling for the ventilation shaft. Vegeta could see the shaft through the weak light. His gaze followed this and stopped at a small crack in the wall. There the shaft probably disappeared into the basement to the engines. The little prince grinned maliciously to himself. He quickly ran to the wall and inspected the place where the shaft disappeared into the ground. He quickly came to the conclusion that he would have to march to the engines - good that, as an elite warrior, he had access to all rooms on the ship.
