Chapter 3

Bulma paced up and down her bedroom. It couldn't be that Vegeta was just gone! Where did he go She knew the proud warrior well by now. He wasn't going to run away without saying a word. What had happened to him?
She was still working in her laboratory to distract herself a little. When she came into the bedroom in the late evening and wanted to go to sleep, Vegeta was not in bed. He had laid down at noon because, as he had for days, he was not feeling well. She hadn't seen him in the house since that moment. She knew that she should have checked on him every now and then. And now that gave her a headache. She didn't want to disturb him.
Son Goku had called her a few moments ago and he had assured her that he would be with her in the C.C. in a few minutes. Would arrive. On the phone he was already trying to calm her down. He couldn't imagine Vegeta just leaving like that either. Something must have happened. But who would attack Group Z again now? Or was it not an attack at all? Maybe Vegeta had just pulled back. With him you could never really know that. Maybe he just flew into the desert and would be back at the door the next morning. But even then he would have informed Bulma. He had always done that since the two were something of a couple.

He had just left his house and kissed his wife briefly on the cheek. He had a really bad feeling about the whole thing. Vegeta wasn't going to go away like that. That was just no longer his way. In the past he would have packed his bags overnight and left off, but not at this time. Sure, Vegeta had been slightly depressed lately, but Son Goku didn't think of him in such a way that the Saiyajin prince would commit a stupid thing and be promoted to the afterlife again. At least he hoped so, because he was now a friend and companion to the strongest man in the universe. He no longer wanted to do without him. In the fight against threats, Vegeta was indispensable. He had his flaws, that was clear. However, one had to be aware of the fact that he had to suppress his feelings and desires all his life and was under the command of a tyrant who had also wiped out his home planet and the whole people. He and Vegeta were the only purebred Saiyajins who were likely left in the entire universe. This thought depressed Vegeta, you could feel it as soon as you looked into his deep black eyes.
As Son Goku at Capsule Corp. Bulma was already standing in front of the front door and hurried towards him. He took his best friend comfortingly in his arms and gently caressed her back. "We'll find Vegeta.Do not worry. "But her deep sobs penetrated his whole muscular body and he realized that he couldn't do anything with the blue-haired woman with words. Action had to be found. But how on earth was he supposed to find Vegeta? If Son Goku had understood Bulma correctly he left without a word, there was no slip of paper, no letter or anything else.

The white figure slowly woke up in the gray room. With her eyes still slightly closed, she looked around with red eyes. From a blurry look he could see that the room was quite small.
He felt limp, couldn't move, and had trouble keeping his eyes open. His right arm hurt terribly and it felt like it was burning inside. His head pounded as if he had drunk five bottles of wine the day before. He tried to raise his arms, but couldn't - instead he felt a sharp pain in his joints.

Immediately after the white figure woke up in the second room, it became more and more quiet in the first. He really hadn't expected that. Should that be true at all? Maybe just a dream after all? But everything seemed far too real to be imagined. Slowly he let his fingers slide over his throat again. He felt very clearly that a certain part of his body was missing. He could no longer speak and he also found it difficult to swallow, but his tongue was still there. So it could just be the vocal cords. But who would be so cruel and take out his vocal cords? And above all, when should that have happened? But it wasn't just the ribbons that were missing. His powers were gone. His beloved fighting strength was just gone.
Again he looked around the gray room. There were no gaps or cracks, everything was smooth. He was trying to come to terms with his fate when he suddenly heard a voice.
