Shinee Luzifer
saw how Ren darted past me and Minho and was glad that these four had been with me. Then I saw nothing more.
I only felt Minho start moving, run up the stairs, and slam the cellar door behind him.
When I came to, still lying in Minho's arms, I suddenly felt incredibly cold. I pressed myself against Minho, who looked at me rather confused. I was still far too exhausted to straighten up now. Yes - it was far more comfortable in Minho's arms. "What happened?" I mumbled dazedly. "Doesn't matter now - I'll tell you later ...".Now Masao also joined us. "How's Key doing?" Asked Minho. Masao gave a short laugh. "The idiot had to play the hero - and now his leg is broken." "You really shouldn't laugh about it, Masao. You know ...". "Yes, yes, Lucifer. Blah, I already know the story!" Masao replied unkindly. "And where is Ren?" "Where do you think? He's looking for Lucifer." "Exactly, you should actually do that now, Masao ...", Key spoke up. Masao stood up insulted and obeyed. I also sat up and blinked at Key. In the meantime it was already dark. "What do we do with her?" She asked Minho. "First take it with you ...", Key replied, who incidentally stood on one leg the whole time. Minho nodded, took my hand, and led me to a black pickup truck. "You can turn on the radio if you want ..." he smiled and went back to get Key.
It really was a priceless sight - Key with his arms crossed behind his head and lying on the back seat. And Minho at the wheel. Only now did I start to cry. At first the tears ran silently down my cheeks, but then the sobs shook me so ruthlessly that no one could miss it. I had never felt so miserable in my life. I blew my nose to get air. But the sobbing didn't want to stop. "It's okay. That'll go away. You cry yourselves out ...", she reported to Key from the back seat. "Mh-hm." I managed howling. I remembered my papa again. How he had lain in the cellar so rigidly in his own blood, how his eyes had protruded - in his face the pure fear.
I tried to organize my thoughts but I couldn't. So I cried on and on and on - without even wondering where we were going. Minho gave me a few worried looks, but Key kept reassuring him that I was just going to be in shock. I didn't respond to Minho and Key's whispers, and so they left me alone, releasing audible breaths as my sobs softened and finally ebbed away. I sat like a rock and just didn't want to think anymore. Only when the car came to a standstill did the tears flow again. I cried until my head threatened to burst and countless red veins had formed in my eyes. I looked like a zombie. That fitted well because I felt more dead than alive. I didn't want to talk, eat, drink, listen to music, watch TV, I didn't even want to go to the bathroom. I just wanted to keep sitting in the car and crying. The third time Key nudged me to tell me something unnecessary, I freaked out. "Just leave me alone! Please!" I yelled at him and his hurt face made me cry again."Go - both of you, please! I want to be alone!". That was the lie of the century. Minho put a comforting hand on my shoulder and so I got up, sniffing, and got out.
"Now what?" I managed in a tortured voice. We'd stopped in front of a big old house. A dog barked in the distance. Though the thick mud and slush was strewn with hay, I had to wait carefully along the path to the wide porch. Minho opened the door and I slipped inside. Then, he placed Key on a living room sofa and me on an armchair. The atmosphere in the living room made me feel as if I had landed in a time machine. A fire was burning in the fireplace whose crackling and crackling sounded less than half as threatening as the one in my basement earlier. I saw Minho with a tray in hand. It made me nervous so that I could barely utter a sound. After placing the tray on my lap, he backed away as if I had an infectious disease. That was a plate. A plate of cookies. Still sobbing, I started to nibble. "What do we do now? ". "It's already late - we're going to sleep first, and tomorrow we'll see how it goes with her ...", Key replied and gave me dubious looks.
I kept nibbling on my biscuits, sobbing now and then, and closed my eyes because they were already swollen and sore from crying. While Minho had already withdrawn somewhere, Key patted me gently on the head. And so I fell asleep exhausted.
