Chapter: Unexpected help
So I'm back with the Dursleys, but it's actually not that bad. On the contrary, they have changed a lot.
When Aunt Petunia found out what had happened to me, she even cried and my uncle was too deeply affected. They also reported students to me that I did not expect to help me. Well actually it was just one student who got in touch and offered me help.
Pansy Parkinson.
Yes, Pansy sent me a long and very soulful letter. At first I was surprised but then I was happy. Whenever I feel bad, I read your letter and I feel a little better again.
Sirius is now also allowed to come here regularly and check on me. At first I thought my uncle was against it, but he was very loyal. In fact, my aunt always wants to have coffee with Sirius when Sirius is around. She really made a fool of himself on him. If it weren't for the Hermione thing, I could be really comfortable, but it's very difficult for me that way.
Oh, before I forget it!
Snape also comes once a week to keep me updated and to bring Pansy's letters or take them back to her. He thinks it would be safer for me that way because the owls could be intercepted, including Hermione.
Today he has another letter for me and of course I'm very happy about it, thank you Snape for a moment and go upstairs to read it.
Dear harry,
It's got a little quieter here, but of course everyone's still worried about you. I'm trying to get close to Hermione to find out more, including what she thinks and feels.
Please don't get me wrong Harry, I'm not into women and certainly not into Hermione. I'm only trying to help you by finding out the reason for your action. You know Harry, in the last few days I've realized one thing and that is that you are a really nice guy. I hope you will feel better soon and I would be happy if you are back at Hogwarts soon.
All the best
Pansy
Satisfied, I put the letter aside and immediately start writing back to her.
Hello Pansy,
First of all, thank you for your letter. I was really happy to hear from you again and I'm also happy that you want to help me. Oh thank you for being a nice guy, I have to say that I think you're more than okay too. What does Malfoy say about you texting me?
See you soon
Harry
Satisfied, I reread the letter and then hand it to Professor Snape. Nodding, he takes the letter and looks at me again, but this time not with a scowl, it is a look of sadness and concern.
Should I have softened Snape's cold heart a little or what?
Anyway, I feel hungry and ask Aunt Petunia when there is something to eat.She looks at me lovingly and says that something is about to happen. Only now do I notice that she has the same eyes as my mothers and me. I feel like I'm looking into my mum's eyes and a tear is rolling down my face. Petunia puts the wooden spoon aside and takes me comfortably in her arms. I feel more secure than I have had for a long time.
My aunt whispers calming words in my ear and holds me tightly in her arms like a small child. I like this new feeling and my uncle is sniffing softly in the background. I let my tears run free and finally cry myself out. Meanwhile, Snape goes outside with my uncle to leave me and Petunia alone.
"Don't cry Harry, I'm sure everything will be fine," she says reassuringly.
"No, nothing's going to be okay," I scream.
"I love this girl with all my heart and she breaks my heart. See, I will die from it if she doesn't stop. I'm scared of it," I cry bitterly.
Now Petunia is crying too and screaming for my uncle. This storms into the living room like a tornado and stares at both of us.
"Vernon he may die," she cries softly.
"Who is dying? Harry? What? Isn't he healthy or not?" He gushed out of him.
"No honey, his heart is broken. Apparently something like that works in the magical world and nobody can help him," cries Petunia bitterly.
Uncle Vernon had to sit down first and cope with the whole thing. He looks at me and asks me if there really is nothing that can help me. I shake my head and tell him that only the girl's love can save me. My uncle scolds himself and says he wants to kick this girl himself in the butt.
The way it looks, my uncle is sad and angry. Yes, he can be angry too, I mean, what gives Hermione the right to break my heart?
Finally there is something to eat and Dudley finally comes out of his room. He looks at me plaintively for a moment and starts stuffing everything into himself. I start to eat and for the first time I can eat my fill at my relatives' house. As always, it tastes very good and my aunt kept shoveling after me until I almost feel like I'm bursting.
After dinner I go back upstairs to get some sleep. I lie down and fall asleep right away. In my dream I see Pansy standing in front of someone and crying. I step closer and see that I am lying there and that Hermione is laughing like a fury. Hermione says something to Pansy but I can't understand it, I just see that she is crying bitterly and trying to shake me awake again and again. But I lie there and don't move. Apparently I'm dead.
Startled, I wake up and look around. Fortunately, I'm lying in my bed and still alive, I think to myself.
