front of her. "Tea said you wanted to ask me if I could show you around."
"Um ... Yeah, but that's pretty much done.", Danielle said embarrassed and again a red sheen appeared on her cheeks.
"All right," he said softly, and it seemed to Dany that a little disappointment appeared on his face.
"So ... bye!" Dany said hastily and walked around him. She swayed a little more with the pile of books as she headed for the door. On the stairs to the library she had quite a problem keeping her balance again and stumbled again. She could already see the stairs racing towards her and quickly let go of the books to catch herself. Dany hastily closed her eyes, but there was no impact. She opened her eyes again and looked at a pair of hands that had been holding her. Dany turned and looked into Yami's eyes.
"Today isn't really your day, is it?" He said with a smile and Dany blushed again.
"Apparently not," she replied, embarrassed. Yami laughed softly and looked at the books at the end of the stairs. "It would be best if I could help you with them, right?" He asked, but Dany shook his head: "That's enough for me now! They're staying here!" He smiled again slightly. Dany grew even redder; her heart began to beat faster. 'This can not be. Did I fall in love with him ...? 'Dany wondered in her mind. Then her blush increased a little more.
Yami wanted to say something, but was stopped by a shout: "Yami!Whatare you doing?"
He let go of Dany quickly and turned to the troublemaker. It was tea.
"What are you doing?", Tea asked irritably and shot Dany a deadly look. She looked away from Yami only reluctantly.
"I just helped her.", Yami soothed her carefully. Tea looked suspiciously from Yami to Dany. "Good," she said. "Are you coming Yami?" She asked snipily.
"Yeah.", Yami replied. "See you soon, Dany!"
"Yeah, bye!" Dany muttered slightly absent-mindedly.
Danielle picked up the books again and headed back to the library to put them back on the shelf. On the way there, she wondered if Yami had a girlfriend. She had never seen a girl except Tea near him, not even during recess. And Yami and Tea didn't look like they would match.
Thinking of him, she went into the library and looked for the rows from which she had taken the books. She heard voices, but ignored them. Lost in thought, she put the books back and was about to go to the door when she recognized Yami's voice. "... What do you think Yugi will say?" She heard that he was talking to someone in the next row.
Then she recognized the second voice. It was teas. "Oh come on, he won't mind either."
"I hope so..."
"Come on. Seto, Joey and Mai didn't mind either ..."
"Yeah, but these are our best friends!"
"Oh come on."
Dany went down the line. She didn't want to listen, but she wondered what Yami and Tea were talking about. She looked cautiously around the corner; At that very moment the two kissed. Dany's mouth fell open. "They're together?" She hissed softly. At that moment something collapsed in Dany. Tears welled up in her eyes. Something in her said it couldn't be. Jealousy boiled up in her. "That bitch ..."
With that she turned and stormed out of the library.
When she got home, she furiously slammed the door behind her. Her mother wasn't there yet; Dany was right to do so.
She went into the kitchen and took a glass from the cupboard. Dany tried to reach for the water bottle, but suddenly her glass fell from the table. She turned around in a flash. There was ... nothing. Just the shattered glass on the floor; all the shards glittered on the white tiles. "Damn it!" She cursed and picked up some of the broken pieces.
The question of how that happened was again dispelled by her anger at Tea and Yami.
