26. August
I've been on domino high for about a month now.
Now I can get along with everyone in my class. Well, if you leave out Tea and Yami. Tea still hates me as much as ever, and I don't feel the need to talk to Yami.
That's why I got to know his little brother Yugi and his best friend Ryo. I think the little one is really cute. xD
With Seto, Mai and Joey I get along best so far (of course only when our "dream couple" is not around ...-.-).
But now to something else: Our history teacher has decided that we will go to the museum tomorrow. An exhibition is taking place there to match our historical theme (Ancient Egypt). I actually find the country very exciting, no wonder, I come from there. Of course, my mum was not thrilled again. (What else?) "You should rather continue with the material" and "Such a waste of money" were the most common statements that she had held up to me over the last few days. But it can't dampen my anticipation. ;)
But when I wanted to know how it was back then and why we had moved in the first place, she blocked it immediately. That made me a little puzzled, but you don't even have to try to follow up on her.
When Dad got home I asked him the same question. It was funny that like Mum he blocked the whole thing and said I should concentrate on school rather than dealing with such trivialities.
But I'll ask James, maybe he'll know something about it.
Dany
Danielle reread her entry from the previous day. Thoughtfully, she went to the closet and picked out a few things from it. They didn't have to wear uniforms today, which Dany was right to do. Since it was nice and warm outside, she picked out a blue dress. She loved this dress; she had received it for her last birthday.
A little later she was standing downstairs fully dressed and grabbed her bag. Then she called her mother "See you tonight" and left the house.
She enjoyed the last rays of summer sun as she walked to the bus stop. Soon August was over and autumn would begin. She hummed a tune she'd had in her ear for a few days.
Today she would have to take the bus a little farther; further into the city. And that's exactly where she got out. The museum was a large white building withDomino Museumon it in black letters. Underneath was a banner that announced:From August 27th: Egypt exhibition in the western part of the museum. Exhibits from the 18th dynasty.
She stopped in front of the building. She had seen Seto, Joey, Mai and, to her displeasure, Yami and Tea from afar.
"Hi.", She greeted Seto, Mai and Joey; Yami and Tea ignored them diligently."You look really ... great today.", Joey marveled and Dany blushed.
"Thanks ..." she mumbled, embarrassed.
Tea just snorted, then Dany gave her an angry look. But before she could say anything, her history teacher suddenly stood next to her and asked: "Are you ready?"
Without their noticing it, the rest of the class had arrived in front of the museum and were talking loudly and excitedly.
"Today we will be shown around by an employee of the museum. If we still have time after that, you can continue to see the exhibition on your own ..."
The crowd began to whisper again, until a friendly-looking elderly lady appeared in the entrance and went to her teacher.
"We can start ...", she informed him and went back to the door. The class followed her, everyone was excited to see what awaited them in there.
The tour alone lasted a full hour and a half, past the most important pieces. While looking at some of the mummies, Dany heard Tea Yami ask as loudly as possible, "Tell me, Yami, didn't you say your grandfather was from Egypt?"
Most of the class immediately pricked up their ears. "Really Yami?" Asked a girl with auburn hair in admiration. This time it was Dany who snorted: "That's nothing special!"
Tea just gave her a look she couldn't read. "Come on Yami!", She said snootily, "Let's go on!"
Dany just shook her head. Her class had already walked a long way; she was about to follow when something caught her eye. Behind a showcase, across from her, something had moved. She stepped closer to the glass case and tried to look behind it. But since she couldn't see anything, she turned to the display case and its contents. Papyrus rolls lay in this; the scrolls were adorned with hieroglyphics.
She saw each and every one of them exactly, but then her gaze fell on one that showed a picture that took her breath away. "B-but that can't be!" She whispered.
She saw herself. Or at least believed it. This person on the role looked incredibly similar to her. Next to this she saw another girl standing.
Dany just shook her head. "She just looks like me, nothing more!", She calmed down quietly.
"Dany? Where are you?", Mai suddenly called from the end of the corridor and Danielle walked quickly to her. In doing so, she did not notice that anyone was watching her.
"Come on, we'll go straight to the last room!" Said Mai and turned to her enthusiastically. Dany just nodded in a daze; the papyrus was still a bit in her stomach. "Are you okay? You're pretty pale.", Mai asked worried, but Dany waved him off: "I'm all right." "Good, come on," said Mai and pulled her along.
The rest of the class was already in the room. But something was different. Nobody whispered excitedly anymore, it sounded more concerned now.Dany caught a few words from Mary, the girl with the auburn hair. “They really look like Yami and Seto!” Dany and Mai gave each other a questioning look. "What's going on now?" Asked Mai and Mary pointed to a large stone tablet that was hanging on the wall. Dany and Mai both said at the same time: "Oh my god!"
There were two men on the board. It wouldn't have been anything special if they didn't look exactly like Seto Kaiba and Yami Muto. Dany looked at Yami, who was pale as a sheet. Seto was nowhere to be seen, and neither was Tea.
Dany walked slowly over to him, again remembering the papyrus roll. At that moment she forgot her anger and tapped him lightly. His gaze fell on her and then turned away again.
"What is it?" He asked, sounding slightly irritated.
"If you don't mind, I want to show you something.", She said and pointed to the room from which she and Mai had just come.
"Why?"
"Because you are not the only one who looks like someone who is depicted on an exhibit!"
He frowned at her. "What do you think?"
"Just come with me!"
Finally he followed her and she took him to the cabinet where the scroll was. "There!" Said Dany and pointed to the glass box. Yami looked in and looked up again. "And what should I look at?" He asked.
"Well, the roll in the top left!" Said Dany and looked inside for herself. Suddenly she stopped. "S-she's gone?" She asked confused.
Yami, however, looked at her slightly annoyed: "You, I'm really not in the mood for such jokes! I really have other things on my mind!"
"B-but that wasn't fun!" Dany wanted to explain, but Yami just turned around, shaking his head and just left.
"How can that be?", Dany whispered and looked into the cabinet again.
Again she noticed a shadow from the corner of her eye. She turned around quickly, but again she couldn't see anything. The light was a bit dimmer than it was ten minutes ago when she was in this room for the first time. "Hello?", She asked, but as expected, no one answered her. So she turned to the door and looked for her class, which was already back in front of the museum.
Your history teacher said in a friendly manner: "So I hope you enjoyed the trip! See you next week in our history lesson! Have a nice day!" After these words, the class split up again and many left, as did Dany, straight home.
After Dany had left the room in the museum, a little girl stepped out of the shadow of a relief. In her hand she had the roll of papyrus that Dany had wanted to show Yami. "I'm sorry Dany, but you and Yami too, you wouldn't understand it yet!" She whispered softly, without anyone hearing her. Then she ran off and wanted to quickly leave the museum. She was almost at the door of the room when a grim-looking security guard stood in her way. "Hey!", he called," You are the little one from before! Come here!"
The girl stopped briefly, but then she skilfully ran past him, between all the exhibits, and got from one room to the other until she stood at the exit. The security guard had called reinforcements, but they came too late because the little one had already disappeared again.
The security guard informed those responsible for the exhibition only a little later. He entered a smaller room that was comfortably furnished. At the window stood a young woman with long, jet black hair and a long robe.
"Miss Ishtar, you have probably heard of the incident?" He asked.
Ishizu Ishtar turned away from the window, looked at him and said softly: "I didn't hear it right away. I hadforeseen it before." With these words, she gripped her gold necklace. “My millennium chain showed me this long ago.” The guard looked confused.
There was silence in the room for a while, until Ishizu said softly, "Please describe the incident to me again!"
The guard closed his eyes for a moment and thought: "I noticed this girl this morning! At first she had just stood in front of the museum and looked around! Suspicious, as I said to one of my colleagues. Later she tried to leave without closing Pay to sneak in! ”His voice sounded upset now. "We caught her and put her outside the door of the museum again. We wanted to leave it with a warning, but apparently she managed to get into our museum! And she has just stolen a papyrus roll!"
Ishizu had listened with interest, then asked quietly, "Do you know what role that was?"
"Of course! That was papyrus roll No. 34, the one with the wife of Pharaoh Atemu and her sister." Ishizu nodded, showing that she had understood. Then she asked him:
