Chapter: Mysterious past

Sasuke's point of view:

From the inside, the country house of the Royal Academy looked even more noble than from the outside. There were huge long corridors that were all covered with red carpet and yellow and gold wallpaper glistened on the walls. The warm light came from the individual chandeliers that hung from the ceiling and beautiful plants and grandfather clocks adorned the walls. Every now and then Sasuke could even catch a glimpse of one of the pictures that were scattered on the walls, but none of them even came close to Akina's pictures. Slightly disappointed, he lowered his gaze again. By the way, Akina had been kidnapped, as Sasuke said and it didn't really calm him down that she was walking through the house alone with all the rich students. That blonde girl wanted to give her her old uniform, didn't she? , Sasuke thought to himself, who had already forgotten the girl's name. Just as he was thinking about it, the rest of the students (including the black-haired girl Emilie, who was not exactly embarrassed to look at Sasuke from under her glasses) led him to a large wooden "gate" decorated with gold at the end of a long hallway.
"Walk in!", Said the brown-haired boy from ahead and opened the wooden "gate" for Sasuke and the others.
When Sasuke entered the huge hall behind it, his breath fell short of amazement (even if he didn't let it show). The furnishing was just like in the hallways, only more artistic and everywhere on the high walls were pictures of different widths, lengths and colors. They all radiated Akina's bright aura and each one was different from the other.
"Incredible not?", Sasuke tore a voice out of his thoughts. It was this Emilie. Her gaze wandered around the hall, interested and yet at the same time meek. "Every time I'm spellbound by her pictures.", She said more to herself than to Sasuke. He would have agreed with her if she hadn't struck him as scary at the moment. But Emilie didn't wait for an answer from Sasuke, she just continued.
"When Akina came to our school, we were still an all-girls school and ordinary, but Akina was elected student representative at the age of nine and changed everything from then on. She enforced the wishes of the students and was even able to turn us into a mixed school She did a lot of drawing back then, but not alone but together with her mother. It is said that Akina had learned everything from her and so Akina donated the money from the pictures she sold and exhibited to our school. Everything was perfect and then this incident four years ago (I once made four out of ten! ^^) ... "she ended. Sasuke looked at her puzzled. Her gaze was sad now and she looked down on the floor with concern. Sasuke even thought she saw a tear roll down her cheek. "Who was Akina's mother?" He tried to distract her, because he believed if he would go into it more now, she would burst into tears."A good and respected woman from the Montezuma clan. She was the only successor of the clan but had refused the succession and left us with Akina. She was an admirable woman and a very talented draftsman. Akina had loved her very much ..." ended she and the tears now rolled down her cheek. "Didn't Akina tell you anything?" She asked, wiping the tears from her eyes. Sasuke looked at the floor. Akina had never even told him that she had gone to this school or that she was the heiress of the Montezuma clan. How many secrets did Akina keep from him? What happened then? Would she ever tell him? These questions haunted Sasuke's mind and unconsciously he clenched his fists. It pissed him off how little he knew about Akina. But then this Emily already drew his attention to one of the pictures by saying: "Look there! This is Akina with her mother!" She pointed venerably with her finger to a picture that was hanging on the wall to the left of them. It showed a little girl with short, brown, wavy hair and a white floral dress. She stood in the middle of a meadow full of daisies and wove a few of them into a wreath. Next to her sat a young woman who was also weaving a wreath of daisies. She had hip-length brown hair and bright brown eyes. The picture itself literally shone under all the bright colors and seemed so real that for a brief moment Sasuke thought he saw the little girl running across the meadow, while the young woman watched her and waved to her with a smile. "Hey! Sasuke! Look!", Akina's voice called out of his thoughts. She stood at the entrance of the hall and smiled cheerfully at him. She was not wearing her normal clothes but was now wrapped in the chic and expensive looking uniform of the school. A smile stole briefly from Sasuke's face, but then he noticed Akina's gaze fixed on the picture of her and her mother. For a long time she studied the picture blankly, then she made an apologetic gesture and almost ran out of the room. Emily and this blonde girl who had come back with Akina just looked sadly after her. Sasuke hesitated briefly, but then he overcame his pride and slowly followed Akina out of the hallway and finally out of the beautiful and large country house of the Roayl Academy. He found Akina a little way off, where she stared spellbound at the green meadow floor. She had clenched her fists and was swallowing hard. Sasuke could see how she fought back tears. What should he do now? Should he just watch as she drove herself to the edge of despair? No, he certainly wouldn't do that. He went cautiously towards Akina, but she didn't react at all and didn't even seem to notice him. So Sasuke went a step further and wrapped his strong arms around Akina's now trembling body.Akina winced briefly, but Sasuke immediately noticed how she relaxed again and breathed deeply in and out. Slowly she calmed down in his arms and Sasuke felt how she stopped shaking. "If you want to talk about it, I'm always there for you.", Sasuke said. He only realized later what he had said, but waited patiently until Akina answered: "I ... I can't. I'm sorry.", She managed and Sasuke heard the pain in her voice, which the picture had caused. "Do we want to go back?", Sasuke asked her quietly, now that he realized that it wouldn’t help Akina after the events four years ago. Hardly recognizable, Akina nodded timidly and broke away from Sasuke's embrace. He gently took her by the hand on the ascent that they now had in front of them, because he was afraid that Akina could slip in her condition. On the way he had to admit that it made him look at Akina like that. She looked like a defenseless little child who has been robbed of everything it loved. Maybe he should just never come back to the subject if it upset Akina. But deep down, Sasuke knew that this wasn't right. Still, he would let the subject rest. For now.
After about ten minutes they could see their own hostel and that of the "big ones" again. Akina's gaze was still glued to the floor, but the sadness and pain were gone from her face. But now only an expressionless mask could be seen, which Akina did not look a bit like. "Hey!", Sasuke called out of her thoughts. Akina looked up at him, startled. He had stopped and from the fact that Akina was blushing he could tell that she had only just noticed that he was still holding her hand. "If you go back in with a face like that, they'll all bombard you with questions, so please put on your smile, that suits you a lot better!", Sasuke said and read a puzzled Akina behind.

Now Akina`s view again:

What did he just say? Would a smile suit her better? If Akina hadn't been so confused now she would have squeaked with joy or jumped wildly back and forth. Then she would have looked like a rabbit on drugs, so she put the thought off immediately. She vaguely heard how Sasuke went back to the hostel. When she finally got herself back and no longer thought she was going to squeak right away, she followed Sasuke's example and went to her room. Once there, she had to wonder what Tenten and Hinata were literally doing in their closet and why Naruto was being made up by Sakura and Ino. So she came in. Saw Naruto. Naruto just said, “Don't ask.” So Akina asked Sakura what was going on. She had apparently given up her "ignore-we-all-Akina phase" and replied: "He lost a bet against Shikamaru and as a punishment we should make him look like a diva.Akina refrained from insulting Sakura and Ino. And further in the room. Akina wanted to get a cardigan from her closet, opened the door and found no cardigan but Hinata and Tenten . The two were so squeezed that they couldn't get out of the closet without Akina's help. Akina looked at her questioningly. "Also lost a bet. ", Tenten replied tersely and completely out of breath." What do you do when I'm not there? ", Akina asked snappy and then hated herself again for her stupid tone of voice. But the two skilfully ignored it and Hinata replied:" Kiba didn't want to play truth or dare again so we made bets. Don't worry, we'll never do it again, Akina-chan! ", smiled Hinata. Akina envied her again and again how openly she could be and had to smile for a moment. By now she had completely forgotten about the cardigan.
