Fanfic: ℘ A time of the new love
couldn't remember it. She was amazed at herself, because she was only slightly angry and didn't really get excited right away. Mike understood the question immediately and took his sword with him and placed it in the armory. Kratos was a little shocked by what he had just heard, especially that it had happened several times that Sammy had death in mind. "Not a nice thought ..." he muttered to himself. He followed Mike, who had just come out of the armory and sat down next to Kratos again, with his eyes. They didn't speak a word to each other because they didn't know each other and he didn't know what to talk about with Kratos either. So he just decided not to say anything so as not to embarrass himself.
Meanwhile in the kitchen with Annabell and Sammy.
"Sammy, how are you? Are you okay?", The young mother asked her little son carefully, full of concern. The green-eyed man looked up at his mother and nodded. "Yes, everything is fine with me ... You, mom, Kratos has an injury on his upper arm that the bandit leader inflicted on him. Could you take care of her? I mean the wound ...", the light brown-haired boy asked Annabell carefully. She was slightly surprised. She hadn't seen any wound on Kratos' arm when she looked closely at him. But apparently she had overlooked them. This was the only way she could explain that she hadn't noticed that her guest was hurt. Her gaze went out of the kitchen and stopped at Kratos' right arm, as it was pointing to the kitchen entrance. When she looked at it closely, she saw that he had a cut on his arm. She turned back to her son, who was still waiting for an answer, which he should now receive. "Yes, I'll take care of the wound. But first we'll eat. The food is ready now. Go on, I'll just get the food, the dishes and the cutlery ...", she said affectionately and pushed her son from the kitchen.
He sat down in his seat and looked at Kratos. He did not notice that he was being watched. The little one's smile crossed his face, because he was glad that his mother will take care of the wound on the fawn-haired young man. After Annabell had set the table, they sat down next to Sammy and they began to have dinner. Mike, who looked at his son while he was eating, didn't understand why Sammy was always running away. So he decided to ask him. "Sammy, why have you been breaking the rule of not coming to Luin lately? And above all alone ... you know that I don't want anything to happen to you, right? The way to Luin is far too dangerous for you. You can't even defend yourself ... "he addressed the controversial subject. Sammy winces because his father's voice was very sharp. And that's just because the boy knew Mike was worried about him. "I just wanted to see you. I couldn't have known that bandits would attack me ..." he answered hesitantly to his father's question and continued to eat. Mike, who just sighed deeply and this time let his son lecture, continued to eat. He knew that Sammy would try to get to Luin again in three days at the latest. What surprised him most was that he usually arrived safely. It only rarely happened that he was attacked, regardless of whether it was wild animals or bandits, mostly Pia came to his aid or even his own mother and even he had already saved his son's leather. Annabell had watched her husband pull himself together not to verbally behead his son. She knew that wild animals and bandits weren't the worst things Sammy could have stumbled upon. Because Desians were even more dangerous. But Sammy couldn’t really know that, more precisely he couldn’t really assess the danger he had got into today. She would say "childish foolishness," but Mike didn't. He'd told Sammy too many times to call a number. "Sammy! You know the best thing to do is to put you to bed without dinner?"asked the worried father quietly.
Whereupon his son listens and looks at his mother. She looked at him out of the corner of her eye. "You got it yourself my dear Sammy ...", she spoke softly, while she continued to eat. Now the eyes of father and son met and Sammy did not feel well. He knew he deserved it if his father sent him to bed without supper. "I'm sorry ... that I broke this rule ...", the little one apologizes, you can also tell that he was really sorry. The stern look of his father disappeared from his face. Mike knew that Sammy wasn't lying because he'd seen in his eyes that he'd been telling the truth. Kratos stayed completely out of it because it was none of his business how the two raised their son. "Well, I will refrain from punishment this time. If that happens to Sammy again, the next time you will go to bed without dinner and get a week of room arrest," warned the dark-brown-haired man. Sammy understood the warning. Then they finished eating. Annabell cleared the dining table with Mike and Sammy sat down next to the mercenary. "You will bring me to bed, Kratos?", Sammy asked and looked into Kratos' face. He was amazed. The little guy had only known him for a few hours and had already built up such trust in him. This seemed to surprise even his parents, since Sammy usually approached every stranger with a certain degree of caution. But with Kratos it was different. There had to be something about it that made Sammy feel safe. However, the fawn-haired shook his head carefully. "Sammy, I'm tired of the fight, but another time. I promise," he gave his word. At first his smile had collapsed, but then Sammy heard Kratos' word of honor, whereupon a broad smile could be seen again. That was not hidden from the two parents. "But you really have to stick to it. A promise is a promise and will not be broken," he said aloud with joy and went up to his room. Kratos sighed softly and smiled. // I always keep my word ... // Kratos thought with a wistful look in his eyes. But it disappeared so quickly that no one would have noticed.
Annabell suddenly had an idea about "getting to bed". "Sammy, wait! Your father can put you to bed ...!", She called after her son. He had not yet reached his room and had therefore heard his mother's call. "REALLY?" He called back and couldn't believe his luck. The little boy ran back to the landing and listened. "Yes, and he won't just run away again ..." she shouted, not having noticed her son standing at the top of the stairs again. "Mom, you don't need to call. I can hear you like that even when you speak normally," said the little boy with a smile. "Oh," came the young mother who was amazed. "I said your father doesn't just run away when he puts you to bed ..." she said in a normal tone. // That's not true at all ... //, thought Mike, slightly offended, but knew that his wife didn't want to hear any reply from her husband at the moment. So he gave in to his fate and trotted up the stairs where his son was waiting for his father. The dark brown-haired man lifted his son on his arm and went with him into the nursery.
"I'm preparing the guest room for you ...", Annabell said and also disappeared upstairs. Kratos, who was now sitting alone downstairs, leaned back briefly and relaxed, since sitting properly was very tiring all the time.He looked at the ceiling, which was both stone and covered with a wooden ceiling. This looked very nice in one way or another, but it was also a matter of taste. After what felt like an eternity, Annabell came down again. But it had only been gone for fifteen minutes. Kratos had heard them coming. "So the guest room is ready, come, I'll show you where it is.", She addressed Kratos and indicated with his hand to follow her. He nodded, rose from his seat, and followed her. After they had climbed the stairs and climbed a short part of the hall, she stopped in front of a door on the left and opened it. "Here it is ..." she said in a hushed voice as Mike was putting her son to bed. Kratos walked past her into the room and looked around. There was a bedside table, a simple bed and a wardrobe in the room. What was noticeable, however, was that there was no window in the room. However, it was still pleasantly light. This was due to the candles that Annabell had lit. "And now I'm looking at your right arm, because you were amazed there. No arguing! ... After all, you saved my son. And THAT is the least I can do for you ..." she admitted understand. Kratos, who actually wanted to say 'No', refrained from doing it, apparently because she couldn't be stopped. That's why he sits down on the bed and takes off his cloak, otherwise she wouldn't get to the wound. "Um, Kratos could you also take off your arm warmers? Then the bandage holds better", she asked him politely, whereupon the fawn-haired man nodded and took off the arm warmers. Now she could look at the injury and realized that it wasn't that deep. She thought of her husband, who would like to pretend to be dead because of such a superficial wound. But Kratos didn't seem to be bothered by the wound. "I'm going to get the bandages for a moment ..." she spoke to him again, where he only looked at her briefly and nodded. Then she left the room and came back after a few moments, sat down next to him again, put the box with the bandages on her lap and took out the things she needed. When her gaze fell on the wound again, she noticed that the wound was soiled. So she got up and went out of the room again to fetch water. "I'll be right back," she said apologetically, looking a little distracted. What was that probably? It just has to be that day, it wasn't exactly the case that the day was a quiet one. Kratos in turn just looks and waited. What else?
She closed the door behind her and walked the rest of the hallway until she came to the end of it. She stopped in front of a beautiful wooden door, in the middle of which the word "Bad" was carved in beautiful ornamental script. It opened it, entered and locked it again so that it could reach the bathroom cabinet that was behind the bathroom door. The cabinet was painted a beautiful shade of blue that contrasted
