Chapter II - Get well soon with the power of love

So while Daisuke was at home preparing for the raid tomorrow night, the police were also making arrangements. The painting was on the top platform of the Tokyo radio tower. Hiwatari was not at school today, but took his job as general manager in the case of Dark. Once again he ordered that the area around it be secured as well as possible and that the viewing platform be left to himself.
The press had meanwhile also got wind of Dark's new announcement and was now causing a sensation, as the picture had preoccupied the world of press and art for years before. Time and again, people died under mysterious circumstances after coming into contact with the painting. The most tragic case was a case two years ago when a young man stabbed his girlfriend in front of the painting and smeared her blood on the frame.Then he and the baby rushed through a pane of glass from the platform. Both were instantly dead. At the time, no one could explain why this young man tore himself and his family to their deaths. Connections to the painting were ruled out at the time and the case was put on hold with no result.
At school, however, people worried about Daisuke and decided to send him a convalescent bouquet with a greeting card that said:

> All your classmates and your teacher wish you a speedy recovery

Of course, Riku brought the bouquet of flowers. Daisuke was overjoyed when he even got a kiss from Riku (Dark shouted: "This is your chance - come on!) At that moment, however, Emiko and grandfather fell through the door into Daisuke's room and while they stammered away again, Daisuke and Riku looked stupid from the laundry.
When evening came, Riku wanted to go, but Daisuke's mother insisted that she stay for dinner. After Riku left, however, Daisuke freaked out and demanded privacy.That evening Daisuke began to paint a new picture for Riku in order to forget his own problems. At some point in the night he fell asleep and clapped his face into the mixed palette ...
The next morning his mother woke him up and immediately fell to the ground with a fit of laughter - Daisuke's face and hair were colored brightly. When he saw himself in the mirror he had to laugh at first, but then quickly washed off everything that didn't quite work. Around noon, Riku came to bring him his homework as usual. When she saw Daisuke with multicolored hair, she was shocked at first, but then had to laugh at him to death. After she calmed down, they did homework together and talked about the latest events. Daisuke asked you to go earlier today and gave her the picture as compensation. The picture shows Riku and Daisuke during a picnic. She was delighted and hugged him, whereupon the transformation barometer shot up again.But Dark held back so as not to reveal his identity, since she suspects a relationship between Daisuke and Dark anyway.
In the evening the time had come ... Daisuke and Dark were preparing for the raid with obstacles, because something like that hadn't happened yet, that Dark had to go on the hunt with a broken leg. Emiko gave Daisuke a flexible yet sturdy pad.
But not only Dark was getting ready, the police and Risa were also in a furious uproar. Another hour, then Dark has announced. Tokyo's city center around the radio tower was cordoned off.
Risa and Riku with Takeshi Saeharas (father: Inspector Saehara; is under Hiwatari's orders) help passed the police officers and were now waiting in front of the radio tower for Dark. While Risa is looking forward to another meeting with Dark, Riku was only anxious to get out of here as soon as possible. Takeshi had already left to catch another sensational story about Dark.He was the only journalist able to get past the police officers, but only with vitamin B (relationship).
8 pm 57 minutes ... another 3 minutes then Dark strikes again. And there he came along with Wizz. (Niwa's pet, can turn into Daisuke / Dark, for example, and helps Dark, Dark's wings are Wizz's wings) Risa screeched and ran into the radio tower without thinking. At first Riku stood there perplexed, but had no choice but to run after him.
Dark had meanwhile landed on the roof of the viewing platform when Krad stepped across from him. In the center of the platform was an easel on which the painting stood. Bathed in bright white moonlight, they were now facing each other - completely motionless. Dark felt the strong power emanating from this work of art and this power became stronger and stronger ... the curse breaks the seal. The night was cool and the rising moon in the starry sky made the mystical, creepy mood of the calm before the storm perfect.Dark spread his wings and rose again into the air. He tried to fly past Krad to steal the painting. Krad allowed this without a reaction, but when Dark reached for the picture, white chains shot out of the floor and tied Dark's legs, arms and wings. "A spell ... cursed!", Dark shouted and tried desperately to tear himself away - he failed. Krad laughed nastily and walked slowly up to Dark and said triumphantly: "You fell into my trap. Finally after such a long time I made it." Krad brushed some hair from Dark's face and whispered in his ear: " I will now wipe you out and then the entire Niwa clan !!! ... The painting is deeply evil. A perfect tool that my mother left me ... the ultimate key to eliminate you, because how many happy people has this one Painting already cast its spell and thus sealed its end.People are so simple, so primitive, so influenceable, so weak - so manipulable. Without thinking, they kill those they actually love and when they wake up, their unstable mind finally collapses. They collapse in desperation or plunge into their own ruin - they commit suicide. How great can love be that as a curse it can also destroy it, when love is considered the greatest power in the world. You see how weak people are ... they give their own life for someone else's. People - the crowning glory of the Lord's creation that I do not laugh "
Furious and guided by the hatred of Krad, Dark mobilizes all his powers and sets them free in an uncontrolled manner (without paying attention to Daisuke's body) and was able to free himself, albeit laboriously.
"Ah the picture works ... the evil in you increases a lot." blasphemed Krad. And attacked Dark.
Risa and Riku came onto the shiny silver platform and they saw Krad and Dark fighting in the moonlight, like a white angel against a black demon.As they approached the easel, they recognized exactly this motif on the painting entitled "Eternal Struggle".
At that moment, however, Dark was hit in the broken leg and his painful scream echoed through the night and everyone who heard him ran ice cold down his back. But Krad attacked without mercy and Dark fell like a fallen angel on the platform. Risa screamed in horror and hurried to Dark, but Riku also ran worriedly in his direction. When Dark saw them both he forgot his own pain and tried to send them away. Risa refused and pressed Dark's head to her chest. But Riku kept a clear head and acted. She grabbed Risa and ate her away as Krad was approaching for another attack. Suddenly the power of love arose in him. Daisuke's love for Riku and Dark's love for Risa. Dark got up and hobbled in the direction of the painting.
Riku turned around again when she and Risa left the platform and saw Dark with the injured leg and inevitably had to think of Daisuke.Dark had reached the picture and held it up to Krad, whereupon the latter destroyed it without hesitation. Dark stood there in horror, because never before had a Hikari or a motorcycle destroyed a work of art of their clan.
Dark shouted: "Why?", But Krad just laughed and said: "Don't you know that we Hikaris are also known for fakes? As I said, you fell into my trap and now be prepared for your end!"
Krad hurled a flood of powerful energy attacks in Dark's direction, but with Wizz's help Dark managed to evade, although his leg continued to bother him.
The attacks hit the Tokyo radio tower and severely damaged it. Suddenly a girl screamed ... it was Riku. Dark didn't hesitate, followed the screams and saw Risa, who was lying on a half-ruined staircase and Riku was hanging below. Risa held Riku's hand convulsively, preventing her from falling 10 meters below the surface. Dark tried to save the two girls, but Krad continued to attack unscrupulously.Dark reacted instinctively and countered Krad with his own attack. Unexpectedly, the energy ball hit Krad's right wing. Injured, he initially withdrew. Dark had managed to buy time, if only for a brief moment, but long enough to save Riku and Risa. Dark brought them both back to earth in one piece. Once at the bottom he advised you to get out of here as soon as possible. Reluctantly, Risa let Riku drag her along, but she gave in because the situation seemed to be escalating.
