Chapter: Chapter 5 - The Secret of the Chain

So, the 5th chapter.
So far is my longest Kapi that I've written (the longest of the FF too).

When Rie woke up, she didn't know where she was. It looked like a cave. But how could that be? She and her friends had just capsized in the river. How can she be in a cave now? The girl was worried about the others. So she got up and went through the cave to look for the others.
The further she went, the deeper she got into the cave. The girl was scared. Fear of not getting out of this cave and of not seeing her friends again. She was also afraid that her friends might already be dead. That was what bothered her the most. The thought that her friends didn't survive the accident. Tears welled up in Rie's eyes. And yet she went on.
Suddenly her chain began to glow again.Whenever she did that, something terrible happened. That made Rie nervous. This time she heard a voice in front of her calling her. That gave her a shiver. But because she didn't know what to do, she went in the direction from which the voice was coming.
After a while she came into a large room. It was brightly lit so that her eyes hurt after the long darkness. "Ah, there you are. It's nice that you're awake.", Said a man who was standing in the middle. "Who are you?" Rie wanted to know. “I'm the one who gave you the necklace, don't you remember?” The man grinned. “My… my necklace?” Rie looked at her necklace again and saw that it was still glowing. "Yes, exactly that." Said the stranger. "And now I need her again!"
"Noooo !!!!"

Meanwhile, Kensuke woke up on the bank of the river. "What happened?" He muttered. Then he remembered. The boat. The river. The snake. "The girls!" He said, startled and looked around at them. "Rie?Asuka? "he called, but got no answer. Ken went looking for them.
A few meters from Kensuke, Asuka slowly came to. She was still half in the water and slowly crawled all the way to the bank. "Asuka? Rie !!" Asuka was startled at the sound of her name. The voice came from the forest behind her. "Ken? Is that you?" She asked weakly and had to cough. "Asuka ?!" he called again and came to where she was. “Are you all right?” The girl nodded. "Good.", Kensuke said, relieved. Asuka looked around. "Where's Rie?" She wanted to know. Ken shook his head and explained to her: "I don't know. I've looked everywhere for her. But no trace of her." "Nothing happened to her, right?" "Don't worry, Asuka. Rie is pretty strong, even if she doesn't know herself. Come on, let's go look for her! "She smiled and said:" Yes, you are right. We will find you! "
Then they went on to find Rie.Rie was on the floor. The man had thrown something at her and now her arm hurt. She looked closely and saw a deep cut in her arm. "Come on, Rie. Be a dear girl and give me my necklace back!" "What do you want with MY necklace? It's nothing special!" The man smiled at her. "You might think so. How should you know what this chain is all about." Oh yes, and what is that supposed to be? ", she snapped at him." Take it easy. Your chain is the card that leads to the kejicho. Yes, you are amazed "The man was very calm and just smiled. He had to be sure that he would get this piece of jewelry back, otherwise he wouldn't reveal what you can do with it." The card? But how? "" Yes, you heard right. ", Rie shouted angrily, got up, ran to the knife he had thrown at her earlier and threw it in his direction. Without seeing whether she had hit, she ran to the exit of the cave. The man took action nothing against her attempt to escape, and that seemed strange to her. But the girl ran as fast as she could even though her arm was hurting terribly. After a while Rie saw an exit and ran to it.
There was a clearing behind the exit. She stepped into this clearing and saw that there was thick jungle on one side and a deep ravine on the other. Rie walked over to the cliff to see where she was and maybe, what she found totally crazy herself, to find a clue of where her friends were.
"Oh Rie, you stupid girl. Did you really think you could escape me?" The girl was startled. The voice came from the man she had just tried to escape from.She got really scared but was still mad at him. The man laughed again. "And what do you want to do now? Do you want to jump off the cliff? Oh yes, that with the knife wasn't a bad idea.", Said the man and pulled the knife out of his thigh. "If they get too close, I'll jump!" Said Rie firmly. Again the smile disappeared from his face. "You are not a brat, you cause more trouble than I thought, but do you really want to jump? They like to live, don't they?" "Yes, I like to live, but so do my parents! And they killed them! So they can still have me on your conscience. That wouldn't bother you, would it? "Rie still glared at him. "You're really causing a lot of trouble. Ok, if that's what you want, I'll kill you!" She was startled. Had she pushed it too far now? Does she have to die now? Rie didn't want to die, but she didn't want to give the guy the chain either. She held this tightly in her hand.The man pulled out a knife and walked towards the girl with it. "Okay, let's break up now. Nice to have met you!" Said the man ironically. Just as he was about to stab Rie heard a voice saying "No!" called. A few seconds later, Kensuke came out of the jungle and knocked the knife out of the guy's hand so that he stumbled back. "Rie are you all right?" He asked excitedly. She just nodded and tears ran down her face. "I'm happy about that!" Said Ken. “Asuka!” At Kensuke's call, Asuka came out of the thicket and ran to her friend. "Rie, are you okay? We were so worried!" She said with tears in her eyes. "Never do that again, okay?" "Ok.", Rie replied. "What are you doing here? Now I almost had the chain!" Shouted the man from further back and the three immediately turned their heads towards him. Kensuke stood in front of the girls and said to the man: "Whatever happened and why you want this necklace I don't care, but you don't do anything to my girlfriend, you understand?"Rie blushed again, but Asuka didn't notice because she was just about to bandage her wound." Damn it! But I'll still get the chain! You can rely on that! ", the man shouted angrily and disappeared into the jungle.
"Thanks you two!" Said Rie. "No problem. But now let's look for a place to sleep first.", Suggested Kensuke. "Yes, good idea." Asuka agreed. "Ok.", Rie said, overjoyed to have her friends back.
