Chapter: day 1

THE LEGEND OF ZELDA

Here is a Zelda FF that I came up with with my cousin Mina-chan Asaka. But I wrote the version that you can read here by myself. I hope you like it! I have made it cost me a lot of effort and time.

Day one: Hyrule in fear

The sun was slowly rising over peaceful Hyrule. It was a normal day, but nobody knew what was going to happen.
Link was on his way to Hyrule City to visit Zelda. They had been close friends for years and often went out together. Today they wanted to take a trip to the Terminas waterfalls. Link rode happily on Epona through the large park that surrounded the castle. He dismounted and tied his beloved horse to a tree. "See you soon, Epona," he said to her. Then he ran up the hill to meet the guards. The sun was shining. A perfect day for this excursion!
But Link was not waiting for Princess Zelda at the gate, but her father, King Hyrules.Astonished, Link ran to meet him. "Good day, your majesty," he bowed. “May I ask where your daughter is?” The king seemed very nervous. "Link! We urgently need your help!", He replied. Link just looked at him in disbelief. But then he bowed again. "Whatever you want. I'll do my best." The king nodded. "Take him to the throne room!" He called to the guards and left.
Once in the throne room, Link should wait for the king. He looked around. It had been a long time since he was last here. The throne room had beautiful windows. They were windows normally only found in churches. They were put together in several parts of different colors so that they resulted in pictures. Most of the time the Triforce was to be seen on them, the sacred seal of the three goddesses Din, Nayru and Farore. Suddenly the huge door swung open and Link was torn from his thoughts. The king and his daughter entered. Link bowed to the two of them."Look up, Link, Lord of the Times," said the King to him. Link slowly got his head and looked at him. Zelda smiled at Link and when he returned her smile, a touch of blush crossed her face, but Link didn't notice it, as he turned back to her father. “So, Link,” the king began, “We have a big problem, and it's about Zelda, my daughter.” Zelda looked at her father, startled. Apparently she didn't know anything more than Link either - nothing at all. The king continued. "I don't want to hide anything from you. A stranger sent us a letter today. It said that we should deliver Zelda to him, and if we didn't, he would attack the lock and get her. The last sentence was: 'Me will soon give you a small sample of my strength. 'Half an hour after we got the letter, one of the castle towers was destroyed by an explosion. "Link looked at him shocked. "How strong was the detonation?"he asked Zelda's father." The tower was razed to the ground. "Link frowned and stared at the floor. Zelda looked at him with interest. He ran to the window and looked out, lost in thought. Link seemed to be thinking hard." We fear that Ganon is behind it. "The king looked at Link. But he shook his head." No ... "he said," It couldn't have been Ganon. "Zelda and her father looked at Link in astonishment and questioning." Couldn't it have been him? Why not? "asked the princess. Link looked at her." Because I killed Ganon with my own hands a few days ago. " "What!? “Link defeated Ganon?” You ... did you really manage to defeat the Grand Master of Evil? "The king was utterly speechless. The young warrior nodded slowly." But I don't know of anyone else who could be ... that's all more than strange ... "he said." That's complete now incidental, "the king interrupted," the main thing is that nothing happens to Zelda.And that's why I need you, Link! I want to ask you to be my daughter's bodyguard until the danger is over! "Link crossed his arms over his chest and knelt." As you wish, Your Majesty. I will protect the princess with my life! “The king looked at him.“ Good, then go and get the things you need. You will move into the east tower of the princess! "Again Link bowed to the king, but this time also to Zelda. Then he ran out to quickly make his way home." Father, why are you letting Link move in here right away? A bodyguard doesn’t usually live with the person he’s supposed to be protecting. "The king looked at her." The attack can happen at any time, my child. Therefore it is better to know that Link is always close by. Or do you mind that he lives with you in a tower? "Zelda quickly shook her head and then hurried out so that her father wouldn't notice her bright red face.The king looked after her with amusement.

"Drive up the drawbridge!" "Hurry, the east tower is under attack!"
Link ran quickly down the spiral staircase of the tower. “Zelda, where are you ?! Zelda!” He caught himself on the railing and slid into her room. There the princess sat on her bed. "Link", she looked at him startled, "What happened? You are so pale!" But Link grabbed her arm and dragged her without answering towards the stairs. "Link! Tell me what happened!" She shouted. "We're under attack!", He snapped at her, "so hurry up!" Then the princess nodded and stormed up the stairs with Link. They were running down a long corridor when suddenly a beam of fire broke the wall in front of them and cut off their path. "Shit!", Link cursed and hurriedly looked for another escape route. But in the meantime they had been encircled by the fire, "Link, what do we do now?" Zelda looked at him panicked. Link noticed an overturned column.If he could lift it a little ... "Watch out, Zelda.", He said, "I will support this pillar upwards and you have to run under it as fast as you can! Otherwise we won't make it out of here alive ! "" But you will injure yourself! The column is burning! "Link shook his head. “That doesn't matter! It's better than if we burned alive in here!” Over time, the air turned black with smoke and you could hardly breathe. Link was afraid that Zelda might pass out. Or that she gets smoke inhalation. Resolutely, he braced himself with his arms sideways against the column and pushed it up a long way. The fire blazed over his hands and soon covered all of his arms. “Now!” He gasped, “run!” Zelda looked at him worried, but then nodded and started walking. She ducked and ran under the collapsed wall. Then she came to an exit. It was the connection between the east tower and the inner courtyard. Suddenly she heard a crash behind her and saw that the pillar that had supported Link had collapsed. "Link!"Desperately she called for him. A piece of the wall collapsed and Link jumped out of a horde of blazing flames. He landed on the floor, made a roll and then stood up in front of her." Are you all right? "Breathing hard, he looked at Zelda." I'm fine, but you're hurt! Look at your arms! "she said. Link looked down at himself." Just a few burns. I've had worse injuries. No problem! "he grinned." But come on now! We have to get out of the castle! "He grabbed her hand and ran towards the castle gate. Zelda felt the burns on Link's palm, and also that he was bleeding. She was really worried! But what was he doing? He laughed about it! She found this situation utterly not funny. Because left arms were badly burned from top to bottom. He was guaranteed to get some scars. But he didn't care. He ran as fast as he could to get Zelda to safety.He didn't want to disappoint the king. And ... he didn't want anything to happen to Zelda. He didn't care what happened to himself. The main thing was that nothing happened to Zelda. When they arrived at the gate, they saw Zelda's father. "Father! Are you all right with me?" Shouted Zelda. "Yes, I'm fine.", He answered her, "And luckily you too, my child. But Link, what happened to your arms, my boy?" Worried, he ran to Link. "Link injured himself when he saved my life, father." Zelda interfered again. The king looked at Link. "You saved Zelda's life. I thank you for that." Then he bowed to Link. But Link shook his head. "It was an honor for me to be able to protect the life of the princess, my king." The three ran down the palace garden. When they arrived in Hyrule City, they came to a house where some soldiers were standing. You entered it. "This is a secret base for my soldiers. From here I monitor what is going on in the city."Link had never really noticed that before. He looked around the small room with interest." But now to the essentials. "said the king. Link and Zelda looked at him intently." We don't know when this someone will attack the castle again. But we know one thing for sure: he will attack again. And then it could be that you won't get off so lightly. "He pointed to Link's injuries. The latter cooled his arms with a wet cloth. Then the king turned around and pointed to a card that was hanging on the wall." Link, you and Zelda, you will be in a hut near that for a while Remain border with Holodrum. Until we can say how we will proceed against the unknown. "Link and the princess nodded. Close to the border to Holodrum ... that was in Termina, Link knew that. But where? He had never been to this part of Terminas." You will live there alone because I am all my soldiers here need. "said the king again."But I'm not worried about that as long as Link is with you, my child." He nodded to Zelda. She nodded too. The next day they made their way to Termina.
