Drachengeist
Journey to nowhere
Second chapter:
Journey to nowhere
The next morning Jessica woke up early when the little creatures came up to her and woke her up. She got up and stretched. Jáy was at the stone wall and opened it, went out with some small creatures and got some fruit.
"Good morning!", She said to the little creature next to her, "did you sleep well?".
"Well," it replied.
"Come with me! We're going to the lake!"
Many little beings followed her. There she washed her face. Some creatures jumped into the lake and swam a little.
"Come on, let's eat!" Said Jáy.
They all went back to the cave where there was a lot of fruit. The little beings took
greedily the fruits and ate them. Jáy took one too and ate. Only Jessica didn't want to, because she just couldn't get used to the idea of having to stay in the garden forever. Especially not because there was a boy with her; a boy she showed sympathy for, even though she hated boys and was still glad that he was with her and had saved her."You have to eat something too! Try it! The fruits are good!" Said Jáy.
"I don't want to," Jessica replied without an expression in her voice.
"If you don't eat anything you will still starve to death, as thin as you are ..."
She took a fruit and chewed on each bite for a long time. The little creatures had already got up and were walking around again.
"It's good if you're here, because then I'm not so alone. I mean, the beings are here, but they are very different from a person you can talk to; different from you ..." He
broke up.
"What do you mean by that?"
"I mean ... uh, well ... nice weather today, don't you think?" Jáy tried to distract from what he had just said, but Jessica thought she knew what he meant.
"Why do boys always have to be such cowards !? Why do they always say so ... such stupid things !? But he was right about the weather. It's really nice."
Jessica got up and looked around again. The sky was clear and cloudless and the sun shone brightly down on them. It was the same sun as on earth. Maybe they were still on Earth, but Jessica didn't know. It could be anywhere: on earth, on another planet or in another dimension, anything was possible.
She went to the lake into which the huge waterfall splashed loudly. She knelt down and touched the pleasantly cool water with her hand. She looked into the pond and saw something lying on the bottom. It shimmered brightly and glitter.
"Can you come Jáy, there is something in the water!"
"What is it?" Asked Jáy.
"Look! There's something at the bottom of this lake!"
"You're right! I can, though
don't remember that it has always been there, but it can't just have shown up! "
"I'll try to get it," said Jess boldly.
"But watch out! It looks from here
doesn't look like it, but the water is very deep!I think about five meters! When I came here, I fell into the lake and almost drowned in it because my clothes were soaked in water and pulled me down ... "
"I'll be careful!"
She took off her jacket so that all her clothes wouldn't soak up water and drag them down like Jáy.
"In swimming lessons I had to save someone with clothes on; then I'll manage to dive with clothes on!"
She elegantly put a body into the water while holding her breath.
"Jáy was right: the water is really deep! I can still do it! I'm good at sports and swimming!"
After a few kicks, she was at the bottom of the lake. Now she saw the glittering thing too: it was a fist-sized, blue and white shimmering diamond. Half of the diamond was stuck in the ground, the other half sticking out. Jessica tried with all her might to loosen the diamond, but she couldn't.She quickly swam back upstairs to catch her breath. She found it difficult to come to the surface because her dripping wet clothes were dragging her down.
On the surface she took a deep breath and said panting: "There's a diamond down there ... it's in the ground and I ... can't get it out ..."
"I'll help you!" Said Jáy and jumped into the water as well. "Such a show-off! He tries to ingratiate himself with me because he wants to help me! I don't need any help! And especially not from him!", She thought and rolled her eyes.
Jess dived again and swam to the bottom of the lake. Jáy also tried to pull the diamond out of the earth there. He tried to tell Jessica that they had to try to get the stone out of the ground together. The girl understood and grabbed Jáy's arm. Even after vigorous pulling and tugging, they couldn't make it and swam back to the surface. There they sat down on the grass at the edge of the lake and took a breather for a while."This ... stone is really deep ... in the ground! Let's ... try it again ... right now ...", Jáy said panting and spat water.
"You're ... right! We have to ... try again! Until ... we make it!"
After a few minutes they had rested and jumped into the water again. It was freezing cold, but nevertheless they took a deep breath and dived back to the bottom of the lake. There Jessica grabbed the diamond tightly with both hands and Jáy swam behind her and pulled on her arms. They tried to pull the diamond out of the sand and stone soil more and more evenly and stronger.
"We have to do it! Why is this diamond so stuck in the earth ?!"
After four or five jerks, they gathered all their strength and tried again - again no success. They wanted to try it one last time, then had to swim back to the surface to take a breath. Together and with all their strength they grabbed the stone, leaned back a little and pulled, pulled as hard as they could.Suddenly the ground gave way and they could
Pull out diamonds. But as
Jessica held the diamond tightly in her hand and wanted to swim back to the surface with Jáy, a vortex formed in the hole in which the diamond had stuck and it grew bigger and bigger very quickly. After a few seconds he was taller than her.
The enormous pull whirled her around. Jáy clung to a rock with his remaining strength and tried to reach Jessica's arm with the other. But suddenly the part of the rock that Jáy was holding on tore away and he was spun around together with Jessica.
Everything is spinning in Jessica's head and she was whirled around shaking Mark. She had to try to get to a rock somehow and shut her eyes convulsively. She knew that if something didn't happen right away, or if they surfaced, they would run out of air and drown. She already felt that there was no more air in her lungs and could not stop the reflex. She opened her mouth and tried to inhale, but only water streamed through her nose and mouth into her lungs. Air bubbles came out and she tried hard to choke the water out of her lungs, but it just kept pouring in. She didn't even notice anymore that she was being shaken more and more violently. Suddenly her head and back hit a rock hard. Her reflex to exhale and inhale failed and she floated in the water with her mouth open. She didn't even try to open her eyes or move. She wasn't going to make it anyway. Everything would still be black in front of her eyes and she would not be able to move any of her muscles; She passed out again - in the water and her last thought was: "What happens now? Am I going to die?"
