So here's the first Kapi!
I hope you like it!
It is said that foxes in human form, also called kitsune, are peaceful beings.
People who treat them well will be immersed in eternal happiness, but people who treat them badly will die from terrible disasters, so the myths say.
The gods gave them special gifts, but nobody knows exactly which ones.
Are these myths true?
"Who offers more for this fine specimen? Do I hear more?" Shouted the slave dealer.
He was holding a rope with which a girl's hands were tied.
She looked fearfully into the crowd that stood in front of her, hoping someone would help her.
She wore a torn, gray dress that reached just above her knees and a black ribbon with a bell around her neck.
All eyes were on her. Some wondered what it was supposed to represent and others wondered what it would be of use if they were bought from the slave trader.
Others responded with a mocking laugh and watched happily as the girl tried to go unnoticed.
"Come on guys! Who has more?" Shouted the slave trader again.
More people came and watched.
Her fear increased and she became more nervous than before.
“What is this freak supposed to be useful for?” Asked one of the people, and the slave trader began to ponder.
"She does what all slaves do! Work for us!" He said with a laugh and hit the girl with the whip he was holding in the other hand.
A little scream escaped her and she doubled over on the floor.
"You see? This beast is as tame as a lamb! It obeys someone's word! Don't be put off by its appearance!" Said the dealer with a dirty grin.
She sat on her knees and stared at the floor.
Her eyes were wet and every single tear dripped onto the cold floor, leaving a dark stain behind.
Suddenly smoke rose nearby.
People turned around in confusion and saw the flames burn down everything.
They started screaming and ran away.
The slaver's grin disappeared and he watched in horror as the people fled.
The girl looked up and saw what was happening.
The fire was already about to burn down all the houses in the small village.
The slave dealer frantically let go of the rope and ran away without turning around.
Despite the screams, she didn't immediately understand what was happening.
She noticed that the dealer had disappeared, quickly got up and ran away, as did the villagers.
It was an opportunity she had never seen before, it was an opportunity to live freely again.
One last time she turned around, saw how the fire destroyed everything and left the village.
Barely audible, she padded across the forest floor.
She hung her head and her little bell was the only thing that pierced the silence. Her body ached from the wounds of the whips.
Her lips were dry and she longed for a single swig of water.
She had taken off the rope around her wrists, but you could still see how tight the rope was tied.
How long had she been walking through the forest? Two hours or two days?
Exhausted, she sat down under a tree and closed her eyes.
Suddenly she heard steps, but she didn't open her eyes, she was too tired.
Even though she knew someone was standing in front of her, she fell asleep ...
That's it for now!
