also gave way and both of them slid down with their car screaming.
When they had rummaged through the fallen sand to the top, they found a maliciously laughing Haroeris. The cars could be forgotten, which means that the winner of this race was determined, which Haroeris expressly stated.
Seth grabbed the now battered and frightened horses that had pulled his and Osiris' wagons, and they wistfully went back to the sun city, where Re and Thoth were already waiting for them. All they had to do was look at the disheveled horses to see what had happened. The siblings had already prepared for a lecture. This assumption seemed to be confirmed when Thoth hastily escorted them to Re.
Osiris and Haroeris were amazed at this urgency.
"Wow, he must be really pissed off. Maybe we've now taken it to the extreme and are now in real trouble ..."
"Yes, maybe he'll do some detention on us where people can make fun of us ..."
This was followed by laughter from Seth.
"You do not need to do unworthy chores to amuse mortals! Even if it did so," he added, "you would not be seen to be gods."
Osiris and Haroer looked at each other. They knew that Seth's mind changed as unpredictably as the tides and therefore didn't care much about that remark.
As soon as he arrived at Re, he immediately began to point out to the three brothers their actual tasks.
"Osiris, you should one day follow in the footsteps of your father, the great Pharaoh Geb, and while I am civilizing the worlds, take over the rule of earth ...""But he can't help that ...", Haroer tried to defend me.
"Do not interrupt me! You will never have to bear such a burden as Osiris has to bear and rule such a powerful empire. But how can that work when you are laying my kingdom in ruins?"
Re turned his back on them and touched his head.
"Then the enemy no longer needs to destroy my country. At least the three of them will do that," he thought to himself.
Seth looked at Osiris and started to grin. Osiris pounded him in the rib.
Re gave them to understand that they could now move away.
As soon as they had left the Great Hall, Osiris was already complaining why he was the only one who got in trouble when all three of them had been doing nonsense.
"Well, that's the vice when you're the older one." came to the answer.
Osiris turned to Seth.
"Every time you get me into some kind of trouble."
"Oh, that's how it is. You didn't have to take part, and besides, who came up with the idea of the chariot race !?" he nagged back."As if we were destroying his kingdom just because we accidentally damaged his stupid temple, which is currently being refurbished anyway. The damage we caused can be repaired at the same time!"
"If it were just any temple. It is the sun temple. You know very well that it is very important to him!"
Before the argument got any proportions, Haroer, who had been following the argument, pushed himself in.
"The idea of holding a chariot race came from me this time. For once, I have to agree with Seth, Osiris. You really didn't have to take part ..."
"Hey, what do you mean, 'for once'?" Seth wanted to know.
But they agreed on one point: the race had been a lot of fun.
Re watched the three of them. Thoth joined him.
"Don't take it so hard, oh Lord. But you know, they have to compete again and again and fight their quarrels and ..."
"... and this is always at my expense and that of Egypt. What am I supposed to do with them? "Re continued.
The sun was shining in his room and he suddenly felt a damp tongue that made him open his eyes. He looked into the face of his greyhound Afu. Suddenly he heard voices that seemed to get louder and louder. Thereupon Seth got up and jumped off the bed, whereby Afu took flight and disappeared behind the curtains.
On the way, the still totally sleepy Seth met Haroer and Osiris, who were just as excited as the rest of those present in the palace. Even the servants ran back and forth, disoriented.
"What's going on?", He asked, "A few more people want to sleep here ..."
"These people can do that later too," Haroer replied. "Some guards from the Nile are back and Re demands that we come to the boardroom immediately. Apparently they brought bad news!"
