How cold you can be

When I see you my heart beats like mad
but you ignore me
When I hear your name
I have to think of you for hours
do you have to think of me too?
When our eyes meet the mine stays quite cold,
while I smile happily at you.
How cold you can be
How mean and rough!
How hurtful your words are sometimes!
But I think it's up to you, I'm happy when you're here with me.
But when we are alone then you look at me very differently and you speak much better and nicer to me.
If we were alone in the world, would we be happy?
Could you love me then
If so, why not now?
How cold you can be
How you smile at me you then repudiate.
How you secretly observed me and then ignored me again.
How you protect me and then hurt me.
But you love me I know that anyway.
You want to hide itbut i know you
You punish yourself for lying past childhood.
But don't worry, I love you too, it's not your fault, I'm waiting for you to know.
How cold you can be and still not quite make it.
