Fanfic: Sag mir, warum du mich leiden sehen willst
Chapter: The plan...
Prologue: The Plan ...
It was pouring rain into a small place where a girl with long orange hair and a boy were arguing loudly.
"I thought that was mean of you, Seto!"
"Oh, really? Do you know how little I care about your opinion?"
The little girl seemed close to tears. She couldn't cry now, she couldn't cry now! Not in front of him.
She wiped the tears from her eyes and then looked into the boy's blue eyes.
"You're stupid! I never want to see you again and you know what? You can have your stupid present again!"
She threw him a small plaque, which the boy puzzled and picked up again.
"But…"
For a brief moment he seemed really sorry. A worried expression formed on his face, which after a short time had to give an ice-cold look.
"I never want to see you again either."
The rain poured down on them and the trees around them stretched their branches towards the wind like black figures holding their hands. The girl couldn't go on anymore. She ran howling, to the next street corner, until she could no longer be seen. The boy looked after her for a long time until he hung his head too and chose the way home.
Seto Kaiba woke up bathed in sweat. He had had that strange dream again. That dream that came back every night and that he couldn't get out of his head.
Breathing heavily, he lay down again. He heard the wind whisper through the trees and the wet rain pounding on the window. It was strange. Every night at the same time he heard it raining. Always after his nightmare. Over and over again….
Maybe he was just overworked. Yes, he should treat himself to some relaxation, why not? Just relax. Who knows? Maybe then everything would stop.
He shook his head vigorously. Even if he went on vacation, this dream would haunt him! At least until he found out who this girl was….He only vaguely remembered her. She lived in the next house and they had often played together, but one day they had an argument. Seto didn't know why, but after she ran away, he hadn't heard from her. His father told him she wasn't coming back. But why? Was it his fault?
"Christian, how could you?"
"What's the matter with you, Tyson? It's my half of the company and I'll do what I want with it. Besides, you don't have to complain, we're still in the lead!"
"You can't, I don't care, delete 500 jobs! What should people do now?"
The young woman snorted contemptuously and turned back to her brother.
"What do I care about other people?"
With these words she walked down the narrow hallway and just left the brown-haired man standing. This looked after her, whereby his look became more and more serious.
"And you want her to be my sister?"He shook his head and disappeared into the next door.
"Can't you at least knock, Tyson?"
An old man rose from his chair and approached the newcomer. His thick circles under the eyes told of nights of work. The knobbly little fingers gripped the shoulder of his stepson, who cried out in pain.
"What did you do again? I ask you again: How can it be that your half of the company can't keep up with your sister's in the remotest sense?"
"I can tell you exactly ...", the younger one began and painfully reached for the place where the fingernails had left deep marks.
"She just fired 20 specialists last week. Today she fired another 500. That will give her a boost, but in the long run she will incur losses. Believe me, it's only a matter of time."
The gray-haired man looked dreamily out the window. No muscle on his body seemed to move.He was breathing hard and began to fumble around in his pocket like crazy. Then he turned back to the young man.
"Do you know the Kaiba Corp.?"
Tyson looked confused, but decided to answer.
"Yes, who doesn't know her? But I don't know what that has to do with it now."
The old man kept tugging at his suit.
"I will now explain my plan to you. You will certainly know that our company is not doing very well, if one half is not working, the other half will go under sooner or later. I am no longer the chairman, but I have one Plan how to get rid of our problem. "
He sat back at his mahogany desk and ordered his son to be seated. When he obeyed, the old man bent forward.
"I will persuade your sister to start a business with Seto Kaiba. Your job will be to bring the two together in such a way that they learn to love each other."
Tyson couldn't believe what his stepfather was telling him.Interfering in someone else's personal life was wrong, but when it came to the company?
"When that happens and Mr. Kaiba has other things to do than business, we will take his company under the nail."
"But ... won't he try to get her back?"
Tenshi got up and went to a giant airplane model. He ran his fingers over the wings to the cockpit.
Then he stepped aside and pressed a button next to the model. Seconds later there was smoke from all sides, but strangely no smoke alarm went on.
When the light came back into the room, all that was left of the plane was ashes. Tenshi stood by and grinned treacherously at his stepson.
"Seto? Do you still have to work a lot?"
Seto Kaiba was now sitting in his office at Kaiba Corp. and phoned his brother. The rain pattered against the long windows and every now and then a flash of lightning brightened the scenario.
"Mokuba. You know that I'm not really a party-goer, besides, I still have a lot to do."His brother groaned into the phone.
"Seto, how can you be so pointless? It won't kill you if you leave your executive chair once, just once, and keep us company. Come on, that's fun!"
Seto's eyes narrowed and he slapped the table angrily. The gray-haired man on the other side of the phone shuddered and took a few steps back. That would be a thunderstorm.
"Mokuba, I did NOT become the head of Kaiba Corp. because I hung out at parties, had fun or drank to the sick, but because of hard work! And you are neglecting that at the moment."
An eerie silence fell until the manager dared to ask.
"Mokuba?"
The other cleared his throat.
"Oh? You're already done with your moral sermon. Then let me say something. First: As I said, you've been sitting in your office for DAYS and doing nothing but stare at your laptop and drink countless cups of coffee.Second: I guarantee you won't have to stay there longer than two hours. OK? Well, I'll be expecting you around 7! See you."
"Mokuba, wait a minute. Hey…."
A loud beep came from the receiver and Seto Kaiba sank back into the armchair. What had he gotten himself into? Now he had no choice but to go there. Hopefully it was only a short time, at least he couldn't be bored forever.
Again he picked up the receiver.
"Roland? Pull up the limo. I'll ask you to drive me to the villa at a quarter to seven."
The clerk coughed a little and then began to speak.
"I'm sorry, Mr. Kaiba, but I don't think that's possible."
"I beg your pardon?"
The dangerous undertone could not be ignored, but Roland tried to answer anyway.
"Well, sir, your car has been damaged. Unfortunately. An employee crashed into a tree and had a fatal accident."
"Good thing, otherwise he would have suffered a more painful death!Does that mean I have to go in the rain? "
The CEO seemed angry.
"I'm really sorry for her ..."
Angry, he threw the receiver against the wall and tried, at least a little, to calm down. He massaged his temples, went down to his eyes and cheeks. Everything felt very hot. Circles had formed under his eyes, his skin was dry and his joints ached with the slightest movement. A headache pounded in his head.
A look at the clock told him that it was about time. He got up, quickly put on his coat and, without even looking at his secretary, disappeared from the building.
It was still raining outside. The darkness of the streets devoured him and shortly afterwards made him encounter the cold wind. After about two minutes he was soaked to the bone. It was a long way to the villa. Seto wanted nothing more than to sit and work in his small, secluded office.Instead, here he was walking in the rain, freezing and exhausted, so that he had to struggle to keep himself on his feet. The wind had gotten stronger meanwhile and robbed him of any chance to see anything. Suddenly a horn sounded and Seto only saw a glow coming towards him, which illuminated everything. A sharp pain ran through his body and made him fall into a sound sleep ...

That was the prologue first. Actually, I didn't want to show this story here ... well, so far it's just the prologue.
