“Life, a gift? «

Raindrops pattered on the window pane. It was a real storm. Others hated such weather, but I loved it. I thought the weather was pretty nice. Especially because the streets sparkled through the beautiful water. In addition, there are far fewer people on the road. Unfortunately, I was never allowed out in such weather because my mother said it would make me dirty. That little bit of water. It doesn't hurt, does it? ^ My mother couldn't control it anyway because she was at work most of the day. So I decided to go outside, if only a little.
So far I have sat out the window and stared at the street the whole time. I got up, put on my shoes and jacket, grabbed the key and left the house with my umbrella. I opened it and held it over my head to protect it from the rain. I walked slowly through the garden until I finally reached the Gratentor. The police sped past me.
"Find him!" One of them shouted. "He must be here somewhere!"
I looked after them, a little confused, until the voices grew quieter, and at some point they finally fell silent. I could hear a rustling behind me and slowly turned to the noise. A boy climbed down from the tree, knocking a few branches with her that explained the rustling. The boy had a lot of nicks and scratches and he was smeared with blood all over. Out of shock at the sight, I dropped the umbrella and looked at him in disbelief.
I didn't just find it creepy that this boy was smeared with blood all over, no. He had cat ears and cat tails.
