Danielle was also puzzled by the CEO's behavior.
Shortly after she was back with the other three, the first pairs were drawn. In the first four rounds, none of the four had to compete against one of their small group.But in the fifth round there were only eight duelists left. Including: Atemu, Yugi, Kari and Danny. The other four were unknown to them. And then it came as it had to come: Kari had to play against Danny. They both grinned at each other because Hikari always wanted to play against her best friend. But in the end it was not Kari who won. She wasn't sad about that, because it had only been a narrow win for Danielle.
Ati and Yugi beat their opponents with ease, which did not surprise the others. In the next round, Atemu and Yugi faced each other, while Danny faced the unknown boy who also lost quickly. Yugi was defeated by his Yami, which annoyed him only slightly, as he could have hit him if the duel had only lasted one round longer.
And so Atemu and Danielle competed against each other once again. "And once again you stand across from me," she shouted and he nodded. "Only this time Yugi isn't with me ..." Danny laughed and the first move was made.
And in the end, Atemu won. Danielle took her cards and looked at the broadly grinning Ati who was walking towards her. "What are you grinning about?", She asked softly and leaned against the wall. "Oh nothing," he said and walked past her. "Hey!", She called and tried to hold him, but he dodged cleverly. "Don't imagine a friend on it," grinned Danny suddenly, "at some point I'll hit you." "We want to see that", Atemu giggled softly and left the hall. Outside he sat on the sand and sunbathed.
Meanwhile, Kari and Yugi were both sitting with Max in the café and sharing an ice cream sundae. They disappeared immediately after Yugi lost. "Max?", Kari asked lovingly, "Can you put that on Danny's list?" Max started to laugh and nodded. When Max had left, Yugi asked quietly: “Does Danny know about it?” “No,” the brown-haired admitted, “But I do that a lot and Danny has never said anything” “Oh,” grinned Yugi and looked out the window.
Danny sat down on the sand next to Ati and had a guitar in hand. Atemu opened one eye in amazement when she began to play and sing softly.
